If you need to say you're sweet and charming, you definitely are not.

We just talked about this over lunch, that perhaps it's changing a bit? Like Finns becoming more extroverted and need less alcohol to socialize.

Exactly. Scandinavia is seen as a heaven for many people from poorer countries, and they think money grows on trees, you don't have to work etc. There are already plenty of people from India etc. with a good job, citizenship and generally better mindset here, no need to go to the other side of the world if a certain ethnicity in a guy is what you're after...

As a K-pop and K-drama fan, I'm disappointed, though I knew it was too good to be true. Do you have any idea if this is an Asian thing or just Korean?

So K-dramas give a very incorrect view of what dating is like there. Not that I thought they are super realistic, but for some reason I had this idea that Koreans and Japanese are kind, helpful and "good" partners, maybe even a bit feminine and definitely not macho or patriarchal.

You mentioned his ethnicity; can you elaborate on the Korean / cultural thing regarding to this? Are there some super common (negative or positive) things?

MY ex had literal MOLD islands floating in the fridge under the bottom shelf boxes. Yuck. I cleaned it, now wish I didn't.

I started it recently too, and I'd say the first two weeks are annoying and uncomfortable, but after that I barely even remember having it.

How can we ever trust anyone! Feels like it's just pure luck if one can find a good husband.

What. Just WHAT. I spend easily more than that on shoes or makeup monthly. ZERO APPRECIATION.

This might actually be the most infuriating thing ever. My experience: I'm a dancer, have been doing it my whole life, just different sorts, so I basically know VERY much. My ex looked down on my social dancing hobby / lifestyle. I eventually managed to get him to try it because I (stupidly) wanted us to have something we could do together. He explained to me about the techniques of dancing, and about the artists, and their music and basically told me in a very condescending tone about my own ho…

They say women are too critical and vain, and yet we are supposed to look perfect. And yet it's never good enough...

Oh man are we dating the same guy... I feel a bit better now :D

Yes! And when you feel comfortable and actually like your clothes, you also GLOW. Comfortable does not have to equal sloppy.

Exactly. You don't need millions to take good care of yourself. There are amazing skin care products and treatments available, that might not be cheap, but they don't cost thousands. Plastic surgery is another matter.

Is she for real? I mean, she doesn't know these celebrities, it's just speculation?

Also why do I feel it's easier and more accepted for men?

Ancient Egypt was a good place for a woman, if I remember correctly? Or if the Amazons really existed, then that one.

I did that, and now truly regret it. It would've been much easier for my feelings to just end it early on.

They don't give a shit about you, that's why they might as well ask.

OMG. I did this, felt totally heartbroken and now he wants me back. I honestly thought I was being a nice person helping him to "get better" and that it would bring us closer together. 🙄

What does this mean? Are you really referring to The Addams Family? Just curious.

Does anyone know about dating culture in South Korea or Japan?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
