It's not just that ex-schlubs make better teachers, it's that they are more passionate about teaching others. If you were once incompetent then you know what it's like and can sympathize with others. Often it is that sympathy that motivates someone to teach. It's the same reason why recovering alcoholics are motivated to help others pull their lives together. (Odd analogy I suppose, but it's apt.)

Three paragraphs but only two sentences that include actual--but redundant--advice. Never has the Underpants Gnome joke been more relevant. Hang around her house Hang around shirtless ??? Profit

I have no idea what ThrowawayPUA is talking about. I was a theater major in college and we trained our voices to articulate clearly and project in large auditoriums, often through song. These are exactly the kinds of exercises we'd do to warm up; it's not guesswork. None of this stuff is going to damage your voice unless you're screaming them without proper breath support. These can all be spoken at a regular volume. Here are some other tips if you want to improve voice and speech: Hit the conso…

To get added benefit from this exercise, read a bunch of tongue twisters.

The Forer (or Barnum) Effect This doesn't mean it's not a great way to strike up a conversation and learn a little about a girl, but I wouldn't spend too much time analyzing it in terms of your own life.

It requires repetition by doing both. This is why we study for finals instead of just magically remembering the answer because we heard it once during lecture. Regardless, I think you misunderstood my intention. I was really responding to nittutt's complete dismissal of OP, not really to your comment (which I think is a totally valid perspective). Maybe I should have nested it under his post.

Learning something requires repetition, and often it helps to hear it from more than one source or in more than one 'mode'. I found this post to be very helpful despite having the info available in the sidebar. That's not to say that I want a bunch of reposts or unoriginal content, but this one was thoughtful and well-written. It'd be a different matter if it was just one tip that we'd all heard a thousand times, but this was a great overview and I appreciated it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
