In short yes and here's an example of either. Staying in control. Say for example someone tries to insults you using a topic that's very personal to you, try imagining something that would make you want to rip someone's head off, if they would say it to your face. You have all of this emotion that has just been unleashed and is ready to be used as fuel for some extreme violence. But you, a person with a strong frame will remain in control of the situation, in control of your emotions and instead…

I failed to show up to an exam at my uni because I got stoned at 9 in the morning, was a fat J that I smoked alone. Got so tired that I ended up going to sleep at the middle of the day. Slept through the exam, was so ashamed of myself that I stopped on the spot and haven't touched weed in 14 weeks and counting. So hitting an all time low can be a really good wake up call. Also I helped a friend beat a smoking habit by gifting him an e-cigar, he was tripping on acid when I gave it to him and he s…

You're close. Frames are on the weak and strong spectrum. Someone on here made up this example of frame being a literal frame around a painting, strong ones endure rough treatment and the painting aka you will remain untouched to a degree, which means that mentally you will remain unchanged, but weak ones will break and so the painting can be tampered with meaning that mentally you can be temporarily or permanently changed. You can also look at frame as your own POV of the world. Let's take an e…

One of the corner stones of frame is having self-worth in your life. Educate yourself, hit the gym, get good with the ladies, get a job doing what you want to do, etc. Once you can look in the mirror and be proud of the man that's staring back at you, most people wont be able to get under your skin and phase your mental state. Imagine being so ripped that you belong in the top 5% of guys with the best physique and now someone comes around and tells you "you look like shit" or something along tho…

Start writing a journal unless you have any solid friends in life with whom you can talk about this stuff, or come rant on reddit about these things. I know that at first you feel like you're going to explode unless you can tell someone about "the truth", but people will either listen, show some facial expressions, call the psych ward and then ignore you or they will paint you as X Y Z-ist on the college campus, neither is good. Just try to get over the anger phase without screwing anything majo…

Depends on what exactly you mean by trash talk. If it's just empty and/or funny insults about casual happenings, then get better at dishing out trash talk and verbally murder your friends. People will generally respect you more for standing up for yourself, but only if you do it right (FRAME!). Developing a witty response system not only helps you with your situations atm, but also later on in life, like for example shit-tests from women. Now if it's negativity like them trying to belittle your …

I found that when I started to fill my time with meaningful pursuits (education, lifting, martial arts, spending time with people that are important to me) I barely had time to think about the negative thoughts, I mean sure they still were there, but it felt like they had diminished power over me now that I was living life to the fullest and increasing my value in my own eyes. The more you let these thoughts possess your attention, the more they matter, due to more time spent on thinking about t…

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe, read it and internalize it and then start building off of that. After that I would suggest looking into Dr. Mike Israetel's work on training, he has a few videos on youtube explaining his work and a web page with the help of which you can build a solid training schedule/regime.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
