I do the exact same thing, and I don’t think there really is an off switch for it. The best you can do is distract yourself; spend time with friends, do your hobbies, or whatever else you enjoy doing. Don’t worry; you’ll do fine.

If she saw potential in you before, she would’ve said yes before. Don’t put yourself through hoping that changing yourself will give you a chance. If anyone is asking someone out, it has to be her.
