Not gonna lie, I personally witnessed the effect physiology has on emotional state tonight. I was out at the bar, in a bad mood and decided to say fuck it and make a last-ditch effort. I was walking to the next bar, and decided to skip instead of walk, which made me feel ridiculous, but it brought up my emotional state, and I felt at-ease, positive, and outgoing for the rest of the evening. Funny thing, the human mind!

Just read it, awesome stuff, man, good on you. I need to stop making excuses and just fucking do it. No matter what, only good things can really come from it.

This is the kind of shit I need to hear right now, though ultimately it doesn't make a bit of difference until I stop being attached to the fantasy, which I have been for far too long.

Holy shit. I've lurked on this subreddit for quite some time, and I've seen that video posted here and there, but I only just now watched it. Always just sort of soaked up the information here, but never put it into practice. However, this speech is incredibly eye-opening for me, mainly in the fact that I sort of innately already treat conversation and self-amusement in the way this guy describes, but never realized it could be as simple as all that to put it into seductive use. I'm intending to…

That would be Siddhartha, by Herman Hesse.

We've all got different ways of learning and understanding. There are surely things that come more easily to others than they do for you, and vice versa. Just sayin', let's try to be helpful, rather than trying to cut down someone who's trying to better themselves.

Check out Quazman and seh418's comments in this thread. I feel like they gave solid interpretations.

I wouldn't say the "Hi'ing" thing is plain dumb per se. Could be that for some people, something as small as that is a huge step for them, and they're just working on slowly being comfortable with interactions.

inside joke between you and yourself That's a great way to describe it. I feel like that's the way I've been feeling about my humor and actions in general as of late, and it's fantastic.

That was actually pretty fucking hilarious. I've always meant to watch that documentary too, but I never got around to it. I feel like I should get on that now.

Holy shit, this is pretty much the basis of my humor. Never knew it had a specific name.

This is great. These are basically all things I've been working on incorporating into my life, but I can't always remember every aspect. I was actually planning to make out a list of my thought processes on these matters so that I could look at it and remember to be more present to the moment and such. But I'll have to just remember this website and look at it, since it's pretty much precisely the things I would have written down for myself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
