No offense dude but with your mindset you’re basically excluding yourself. You can put in the work to change or accept your situation and focus on other things in life.

The only time I’ve ever been approached by a woman was back in high school where these group of girls were playing truth or dare before class and one of them was dared to ask me out on a date. I really don’t care to lower my standards. I think people should be more picky about who they sleep with and who they end up marrying.

I find her attractive. Makes me laugh. Likes nature. Reads. Independent. Similar values and a few shared interests so we can do stuff together. Financially smart, I would be willing to take on a provider role but if something were to ever happen to me I would want my potential wife to not be completely lost. Has something she’s extremely passionate about outside of work. Works out consistently and prioritizes her health (I work out consistently and prioritize my health). Being a religious isn’t …

I always found that therapy reinforced what I already knew about myself so while talking out my problems from time to time was nice it really didn’t make me feel any different before I went to therapy.

Never assume anything in a relationship, that’s how relationships fail.

I think OP edited the post (maybe I’m wrong) but I thought they included “people say women and men’s libidos are the same without proof”and I was calling them out for making a claim without proof after I read that.

You should link the statistics or else you’re doing the same thing as the people who mindlessly state anything different without proof.

It goes both ways. I know more men 30 and above who have been divorced than I know men 30 and above who have never been divorced. Don’t settle, it usually doesn’t work out in the end.

Yeah that’s pretty much every woman I’ve ever approached. It’s not a fun feeling tbh.

If I’m in a public area I won’t approach unless the woman I’m approaching has made it super obvious she’s open to it so yeah I think there’s a lot of truth to this.

I disagree some dudes pull off bald especially well
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/25 12:15 AM

Well unfortunately I have no advice for you if it becomes hard to ignore but I hope it one day becomes easier to ignore for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 08:45 PM

Valid point. At the same time if you plan on ignoring men then theoretically a man posting a video calling all women evil should just be ignored by you.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/25 06:44 PM

None of the men who I’m friends with want this. Why does it matter what men want? If 80% of men are like this (which OP claimed in a different reply) women are the gatekeepers of this stuff so if women aren’t vibing with this then just ignore men.

I think I would like to cuddle with a girl (and I won’t say this part out loud but hold me in her arms for one night so I can sleep peacefully and feel cared for once in my life) more than sex tbh.

Oh yeah my parents were extremely dysfunctional and I’ve only seen 3 healthy relationships between straight people throughout my entire life. I have no idea what a healthy relationship looks like.

I realized calling it those things an aspect of masculinity was a mistake because it’s not. As for everything else I mean you can get upset about what some women say on the internet but that’s not how real life works. You can get upset that some women choose to make a vast generalization of men but some men make a vast generalization of women when they say women only date dudes over 6’0. As a man it’s fair to have preferences. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 09:15 PM

It’s completely valid for women to demonize some of the aspects of masculinity like catcalling and sexual assault. I will admit I’m a bit nervous to approach women because I’m worried it will be taken the wrong way but I also spend too much time on the internet because I can’t afford to go out that much and I imagine that I would approach women more if I went out more. It’s okay for women to have demands about what they want out of a man. You can’t really control what you prefer in a potential p…

I think society is more likely to collapse due to the potential impacts of AI more than single dudes not finding anyone but that’s my opinion.

I don’t think the majority of women under 30 are settling down with an older man who has kids. Furthermore there are more single 18-29 men in the world opposed to 18-29 year old women (source is a Pew Research survey that has been cited a lot here in this sub) so I would say it’s a low probability that if you’re a male 18-29 that you would somehow date an older woman but hey sometimes you should take risks.

Well part of the issue is most of Gen Z can barely afford to go out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 02:05 PM

Yeah that’s the issue for me. I could go out and try and meet new people in my generation but people in my generation would rather stay home and lay in bed. Even when you say “go out and meet people” it’s hard because a lot of Gen Z does not go out at all.

Everyone has heard of the male loneliness epidemic but nobody knows what it actually is. First off, both genders are lonely. Men are more lonely than women but there’s an explainable reason for that. The male loneliness epidemic centers around how men don’t have friends, not a romantic partner, just friends. Women do a better job constructing a social support system than men. With that being said some women also don’t have friends and are lonely. This mostly stems from people being chronically o…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/25 01:11 PM

If I find someone who can provide support for me to accomplish my goals while at the same time equally supporting them then yeah. The problem is I’m not really dating because of the first two points and that is the ideal life rn. When things change for me financially and I get into more hobbies, I’ll probably start dating again. If that leads nowhere I’ll figure it out but I would rather spend the rest of my life alone rather than spending the rest of my life with the wrong person.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 11:13 PM

I’m in that semi space. Financially doesnt make sense. Maybe this is just me but I’m a 22 y/o male and I don’t see women my age out in public spaces where I would meet people and I’m not on dating apps. Makes more sense to work on myself and live life to the fullest due to points 1 and 2.

23M. I don’t want to have kids but if I ever got a women pregnant than I would do everything in my power to be a part of that kids life and be a supportive father. With that being said the 29 year old male is just in it for free sex with your batshit insane neighbor.

One thing I love about this subreddit is that the women on this subreddit always mention “that men’s competition isn’t other men but the peace she feels without men.” It’s amazing dating advice for both genders and men should adopt a similar mindset.

It’s crazy because having a happy and fulfilling life outside of romantic relationships made me far more selective and has generally worked out very well for me. It’s a win for dudes if they go down that route.

First off as a man I do not want to have casual sex with anyone. I’m looking for the right person to build a life with. If we aren’t compatible outside the bedroom then I don’t want to do anything with you in the bedroom. I agree that men don’t deserve sympathy but a major talking point on this sub is how it’s unfair for women to (in some cases be forced) to have sex with someone they don’t find attractive. The same should hold true to men. Women can’t control their preferences. Neither can men.…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 04:23 PM

If I’m paying for all the dates I usually don’t think the woman I’m paying for is taking me seriously and I usually cut things off after the 3rd/4th date. EDIT: 3rd date I always offer to cook a home cooked meal to show I’m capable of cooking/cleaning. It’s been accepted by one girl I went out with. This is why I usually think women aren’t taking me seriously by the 3rd and 4th date.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:10 PM

As a short man (5’7) yeah sure people can be cruel on the internet to short men but who gives a fuck. It’s the same as men hating on fat women on the internet. At the end of the day you really shouldn’t care what some people say on the internet because they’re likely trying to generate some form of attention to compensate for how lonely and unfulfilled they are in life.

As an unwanted man I disagree. The only people who criticize me about that are people on this sub.

Dating sucks for young people. Tell her to join the club.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/25 02:06 PM

I can’t speak for other men. For me personally I would like the mother of my children to have a college education. Just because someone is a Starbucks barista or cashier doesnt mean they don’t have a college degree. That’s an assumption you made based on the job you listed for your example. I personally know people who work jobs like bartender and cashier jobs who do have college degrees. EDIT: I am a college educated male
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/25 02:05 PM

In all fairness the post is about a bartender with no college degree and option 2 also has no college degree and yet she won’t pick them either. I feel like if some men are choosing for shared values they’re going to want a college educated woman, not a bartender.

A better analogy is men looking for a girlfriend have the same odds of landing a full time job in this job market. No matter what happens you’re still unlikely to land a job market in this economy. Same with dating at this point in time.

You meant this as sarcasm but this is a very legitimate possibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 10:39 PM

These women who call men these names likely haven’t been rejected much in life so when you say no they go crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 07:31 PM

Agreed. I remember reading something a woman said on this app. It was “men aren’t competing with other men to get into a relationship with me, they’re competing with my peaceful single life” and that changed the way I saw relationships. I would rather live a peaceful life then be in a relationship with the wrong person.

As a man who’s standards are unrealistic I absolutely agree with this.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:19 PM

I could do better or I could just not care about dating. It’s easier to live my life not caring if I attract anyone as opposed to doing shit for the sole reason of trying to attract someone that wouldn’t give me the time of day at my worst.

I’m scared I will get called a creep (I should have said I’m scared to make a woman uncomfortable) or be accused of harassment (in my head, I know, it’s still hard to break away from that thinking). EDIT: This doesn’t occur for all women I encounter in public. If I see someone who is so attractive I don’t care then I will usually compliment them and it usually is received with positivity but there are some women I would compliment who I hold my tongue with, not in a malicious manner I’m just sca…

Relationships should be about building something with someone. Unfortunately for single moms, they prioritize their children, as they should. I want to build a life with someone. I don’t want to pick up the pieces of another man’s attempt to build a life with someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/25 07:04 PM

It probably did tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:10 PM

It feels like you’re projecting with this comment. Not every chronically single man is a gooner.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 05:02 PM

Since this gained some traction and I don’t feel like responding to all of you. I’m 22. I’m in no rush to find a relationship. If anything my mom is my biggest priority in my life and it’s my job to make sure she’s taken care of. I need to figure out my life because of this. I’m not claiming my situation is the same as everyone’s. Some of you are ready to find a relationship for a multitude of reasons and my advice is not for you. Men have the option to live their best life and not really care about dating. That’s what I’m doing right now. If I find someone cool if not I’m going to enjoy life all the same.

Single doesn’t equal solitude. You act like women don’t have friends and family to lean on.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 02:45 PM

Yeah. I’m starting to think that we lack a lot of positive male role models in society these days. I’m 22 and I’ve never been in a relationship and I’m completely unbothered by it. I’m going to die one day so I’d rather spend my time living my best life and if I meet someone along then cool but if not at least I’ll be living my best life doing what I want. I wish other men could think this way instead of attacking women. It’s not like attacking women will change anything.

Tbh as a man under 30 I would also be alone then be with a partner I feel is subpar. I don’t get the hate behind this outside of falling birth rates and at the end of the day I don’t see birth rates going back up anytime soon.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/25 04:18 PM

Oh yeah. Growing up I always imagined I’d have a wife and kids. Now I imagine my future as a big plot of land, a nice property for all my friends to enjoy and some dogs. I’m starting to consider chickens as well.

For me personally (can’t speak for others) I love cooking, I have no problem cleaning, I would just like to have someone match my activity level, and I want to grow old with someone. Sure other men might not be the same as me but that’s where I stand on those issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 11:07 PM

Yeah. Outside of just trying to talk to the dude I hope a dating coach would give these woman advice on how to treat men. Most women are really nice but there are always a few bad apples who ruin it for everybody. As a society we teach men how to treat women but women aren’t taught how to treat men. If a woman took a dating class it my opinion of her would be higher.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/25 04:09 PM

I’ll go about my experiences of being in the friend zone. I have this friend who I liked since I was 5 but she didn’t like me back. I still valued my friendship with her and as I’ve gotten older what I look for has changed and I don’t like her as much as I used to.

This would require a lot of dudes to stop thinking with their dick.

It depends on the person really. Not everyone is going to be loyal and look out for people of the same gender. I get it. You do what’s best for your life. For my friends and I look out for each other and part of it is the tall men feel like they wouldn’t be wanted if they were the same height as me and ironically I’m the one who tells them they are overthinking it and they should date women with height preferences. Maybe I’d be more “fuck you, got mine” if I was taller but it’s in my best intere…

22M. Same except I don’t necessarily view having a crush on a woman as harassment but I think the act of trying to go up and talk to them is. I’m definitely in my head about this stuff but I also recognize that I’m not mentally ready to date someone anytime soon.

It’s a weird example to me because as a Gen Z male who is 5’7 most 6’0+ men I know swipe left on any dating profile that has a height requirement and one of my friends even broke up with his girlfriend because she made fun of me for being short.

I do freelance work in media so I’m definitely doing my best to not get behind and I’m always looking to grow and improve my skill set for work as well as life in general.

I mean I have a part time job and do freelance work on the industry I want to work in on my days off. I just don’t have the financial stability I would like. Also I don’t really care to compare myself to people my age because what I’ve experienced in life is different than what others have. More importantly this is a subreddit to mostly figure out dating issues but I’m not in a point in my life mentally to date so I’m not very interested in doing anything except for myself rn.

I just have to stay patient and hope an opportunity comes but I’m able to live with my mom and I’m lucky I have that opportunity while I look. While I wait I’m working on bettering myself in other ways so it’s not the worst thing to have to wait and be patient.

It’s not necessarily that life behind the screen and life outside in the real world are becoming more similar but rather that some aspects of life have been permanently altered by technology. Try to approach women IRL as a male will always be more successful. It comes down to how the internet has become the place to gather information, and how Gen Z became so reliant on it, only for disinformation to flood lots of platforms or for Gen Zers to take something that the opposite gender says to valid…

Technology has a lot to do with it, especially in the figure of 44% of men haven’t approached a women on in person. With the technological advancements it’s far easier to protect your peace and cultivate a life worth living than it was close to 30-40 years ago. Why would young men try and be vulnerable with women in person when one loud obnoxious woman on the internet tells men they shouldn’t be approaching women. ESPECIALLY IN THE YEAR 2025, young men and women can find far too many alternative…
