Because you are making a point from data pulled from a dating app and dating/interacting online and in real life are not the same. Also, dating apps now are especially concerned with making profits and they screw with people’s heads much in the same way social media does. Dating apps are a woman dominated arena so this kind of checks out

It’s no wonder younger generations and dating is getting all fucked up 🙄

Messaging? It sounds like you are largely referring to a dating app study. Dating apps don’t exactly line up with real life

Makes sense. I personally have had more success in dating women 3-4 years younger than I am versus women my age so far. Has worked out better and more often mostly because the woman is the one who remains interested, I've initiated the spilt far less often than the women I have ever dated have. The ones I've dated very close to my age have typically lost interest pretty quickly after a few dates/ a few hookups. I have observed wider age gaps in other people I know. I'd be interested to see how t…

Also a great take. In the grand scheme of things this topic is pretty insignificant, no matter how true it is

From my own observation and my own experience women more often go for guys who are a little bit older than they are. Typical is anywhere from 4-6 years older

Nope I don't quite fit the Incel definition, and there's a lot of your type on the internet throwing that around as an insult. It's pretty pathetic and I highly doubt you'd say that to me in person. Doesn't help the Incel problem IMO but that's a whole different discussion entirely
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 11:28 PM

Hypocrite alert
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 09:47 PM

I can see how it'd be pathetic but with the state of modern dating in the west seeming to have gotten worse in the past decade or so, mostly due to social media and dating apps, it deserves more of a pass IMO. I can respect not liking how something is in one country and deciding to partake in another. I'm sure the "passport bros" dgaf about anyone else's opinion on the matter

Men can date younger to much younger and women generally can't as they get older. I think the power shift and female competitiveness causes a lot of jealousy and insecurity
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 08:44 PM

I think that a lot of the reason men are checking out of having social lives or dating is that we determine it's not worth it anymore. So we turn to things like video games and porn. It seems the dynamics for both are becoming more in line with the 80/20% rule where only the top 20% of men are competitive socially and in dating. Also there's a lot of the "men are trash" sentiment and narratives. Men are being signaled that they're not worth as much. With the economy worsening it's an even more u…

Get off of dating apps, work on yourself, find healthier & real ways of meeting women. Try to think more about making women feel comfortable around you rather than feeling entitled to sex and viewing them purely as objects.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 12:50 AM

That's not what I mean. Just being on a dating app in general will screw with your self confidence and boost your craving for instant gratification and it's what most people use now to get dates or hookups. Get off the apps, wake up, and start grinding. I think a lot of people need a little bit more of an old-fashioned get your ass into gear take on it. Then, go meet and talk to women in person lol.

I agree with this. If you are popular with people = hard social proof. It takes either you being raised very well from the get go or a lot of gut wrenching failures, practice, sacrifice, and intelligence to get to the point of having above average social skills and prowess.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/22 07:33 PM

No. Too many project blame on the other individual or come up with some kind of narrative that is too far from the truth for this to be feasible in order to avoid feelings of guilt or to take any responsibility. Would just be another something that a woman could definitely take advantage of out of spite as well.

I'd add that men definitely have far less of a disadvantage with age than women do. I think women generally have the upper hand in dating at younger ages when it comes to the ability to have more sexual partners and have an easier time securing a LTR. But the tables do definitely start to turn with age so to speak. Also your view on a long term relationship being the most important indicator of success going into middle age may be becoming less and less relevant as time goes on. That is a far mo…

Women do not generally like a disagreeable man, but they do generally like an assertive/confident/dominant man and the traits are correlated. I think that they would take a disagreeable but assertive/confident/dominant man over an agreeable but less confident/assertive/dominant one. For me personally, I consider a confident/assertive woman attractive. However, I often find that when a woman is overly disagreeable or tries very hard to be assertive/dominant that it comes more-so from a place of i…

In psychology agreeableness is one of the big 5 personality traits and it is on a spectrum. It means that you are more likely to say yes to more things/proposals and agree with other people and to try to see their points of view. It generally also makes you more likable by others. Disagreeable people are more likely to disagree with more things, argue, and say no to more proposals. It generally makes you more unlikable. Anyone would prefer to deal with a more agreeable person over a disagreeable…

I really don't know a lot of or have heard of a lot of men who get overly mad or confrontational at rejection. It's more of a rarity. What's more common is men who persist even after being told no or who don't take a hint from what I've seen. I've been mostly out of the dating game for a while now so I can't really speak for myself. I can honestly say that being friends with lots of girls is pretty great!

I find that sure, there is some merit to a lot of what you read on TRP. But tbh, I think about the types of men who are on that sub and who you are getting this information from and am turned off. There is so much more to life than just dating and there is only so much you can put your energy into. In reality if you focus more of your energy outside of dating, then you will have more success with dating. Folks on TRP are mostly irritated men who try to pick apart the dating game directly when in…

I find that a lot of women do date down when it comes to education, but not as much when it comes to income.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 05:43 AM

I completely agree with this. This goes for attractive men as well. I work in hospitality part time and deal with a lot of different types of people regularly. More attractive people generally are friendlier/nicer.

Not true. Physical attractiveness matters but so does personality. I think that you can think of people as math equations with multiple variables.

Could be because I moved to a different area actually in the middle of my last relationship. I would say i definitely was top 15-20% where I used to live and i'm definitely not where I live now. Lots of studs here in Hawaii.

Sure, but shorter guys have a disadvantage all other factors being equal. Don't get it twisted. As far as 6'5 goes, I'd say there is definitely a point where a lot of women will start to consider you "too tall." 6' to 6'2 seems to be the optimal range.

Pricey vehicles, especially sports car are never a good financial decision. As a matter of fact they are a terrible one, among the worst you can make. If you invested that 20k into the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) and did absolutely nothing to it and did not take it out until you were 70 you'd have $938,032.25. It would take about 10 years to double it at the average return rate of 8% per year. Choose wisely.

Everyone is telling you to call it off. So I’ll give you the other side. How old are you? How would you rate yourself attractiveness wise? Do you think you could do better now or after some self improvement? I think it’s important to see yourself as much as her. If you can do better or find someone who matches what you want, call it off. But you could easily end up regretting it depending on your own position in life currently.

Too many people get the nice guy dilemma backwards on both ends. It’s all about attraction whether you’re nice or not. Being an asshole isn’t going to get you women. Being unattractive isn’t going to get you women. Being an unattractive asshole really isn’t going to get you women. If she rejects you it’s probably not because you were “too nice” unless you take it to the level that it’s creepy, it’s because she’s not attracted to you. I'd keep banging until she moves then end it. Don't try to think about any of her ulterior motives or jump to the conclusion that she's leaving because she's done with you, anyone who says that is an old geezer or incel. Many people will make the choice that's best for them regardless of who they're with, and your relationship has only been 7 months which is only borderline long term. The best way to develop social skills is to be social. Take any embarrassment or any instances where you say or do something super awkward in stride and learn from them. There are some books that can help as well such as "how to win friends and influence people." Also, drama classes or public speaking will help tremendously such as Toast Masters - an intimidating, but very effective and quick balls to the wall approach.

Settled and became too comfortable and stopped taking care of myself. Reading a lot of these comments, I think a lot of people here don't understand extreme TRP views aren't very compatible with LTR's. LTR's are much more of a balancing act whereas TRP will help you get laid and play the field better. TRP can help you get the girl into a LTR with you if you want, but it won't be sustainable if you're too extreme on either end of the spectrum generally speaking.

To a fault. Gaining 10-15 lbs of muscle and being lean is optimal. Getting huge does not attract women in the slightest, only other bodybuilder type women if you share a passion for it. You'll attract way more dudes than you do women getting huge muscles.

All the hot women in the United States flock to the really high cost of living areas/ rich areas. Southern California, Bay area California, NYC, Hawaii. Beyond that I've heard decent things about Colorado and the big cities in Texas such as Dallas/Fort Worth but can't confirm. I've lived in California and Hawaii and visited other cities and never saw anywhere close to the amount of hot women as in these two states with California being first by quite a lot. Bumble and Tinder are cash grab apps. They’re designed to prey on your insecurity to get you to fork cash over for boosts. They used to be good. I mostly don’t believe anyone who says they’re killing it without forking over tons of money. Might as well be a Russian /Ukranian dating site now.

It's different when you have a lot of money and a woman knows she can make millions off of you by falsely accusing you.
