When a compound noun is the object of a sentence, use the objective case for the pronoun. Ex: he gave my dad and me a solid handshake. Likewise, when the compound noun is the subject, use the nominative pronoun. Ex: he and my sister constantly bickered.

I love the sentiment, but the NFL is actually a little bit of a false meritocracy. GMs and coaches want to make their drafting decisions look good, so they often give players they drafted highly undeserved playing time and extra chances, sometimes playing them over other, better players.
