What? Can you explain what you mean? When I said "all other" I meant besides circumcision. I'm nearly certain that no other type of non-consensual genital mutilation is legal in the United States, although I'm admittedly less certain of the other nations, I suspect I would have heard about it in those cases as well.

Just wanted to jump in real quick to say that Asian American privilege is a real thing. The way privilege works (as far as I understand the word) is when you benefit from people's assumptions about you. Asians tend to benefit from stereotype that they're smart and hard working (even if they get screwed on college admissions).

I gotta run, I'll be on much later tonight. Do you have any evidence for that? I never thought as "the female block" as being any more distinct than "the male block" - it's a binary system, so it's harder to gauge imo

Thanks for your response! I find it really fascinating that you can list very specific female advantages (reduced criminal sentencing) but don't see any specific male advantages. Do you really think there are no societal advantages to being male?

Thanks for the really thorough responses! The 51-52% of the electorate issue is an interesting perspective, I had generally looked at the very disproportional gender gap in both representation and wealth (money = politics all too often) I'm surprised to hear the "women control 80% of spending" number, although I suppose it depends on how you define spending. Nearly all of the wealthiest people in the US are men, even when you count the wives of dead rich men. Do you know where you heard/read tha…

By #2 are you talking about circumcision? My assumption is that all other types of non-consensual male genital mutilation must be illegal nearly everywhere in the world. To that end, (if you don't mind me asking) was this something your parents choose to do when you were a child, or was it actively forced on you or your parents by an external entity?

It's a good point - I tried to compensate by saying "any and all" but it's still a bit overwhelming. Perhaps you could tell me "What you're for" without telling me "what you're against."

My suspicion is that the site is literally dedicated to opposing the things you believe in, not in promoting feminism, or really anything else for that matter. It's easy to tear something down - I'm more interested in good ideas than buckets of crabs.
