Get a lawyer, asap. Do NOT cash out your retirement account to buy her out of the house, terrible, terrible move. Talk to your lawyer, and pay them whatever they want (see point 1).

Oh God, no, some distance and healing are required to get you to that living well place. In the meantime, hanging in there is as good as it gets. Trust me.

What an incredibly shitty situation, brother. I hope you can get this all in the rear view mirror and live you best life. Don't forget that living well is the best revenge.

Hey, sorry to hear this bro. But you've come to the right place to get things out of your system and be heard by a sympathetic crowd. Feeling your pain, and wishing you strength during this incredibly shitty time. Don't be a stranger.

Or she is just emotional unhinged, disregulated and is typing whatever shit pops into her head. All the mode reason to be cool and collected, so the contrast with her is clear to see for everyone.

Ok, let's agree to disagree. Just seems like those are fighting words that vent in inner rage, not very even tempered. Cheers

By all means have sex with her. And then someone else the next night. You know that revenge is dish best served cold, right?

"Swing back verbally"? Are you crazy? Do you not know that the cruelest, most crushing and damaging things can be said in a perfectly calm voice? Try saying the following in a hushed whisper. I've never loved you. I've always found you unattractive. You are one of the most inarticulate people I've ever met. Sex with you was purely physical and not even very good; I've actually enjoyed sex with other women before you. And so on.

There's a great seen in the movie The Devil's advocate where two beautiful woman momentarily morph into grotesque, terrifying demons and then back again. Scary as hell, so to speak. https://www.google.com/search?q=movie+the+devils+advocate&oq=movie+the+devils+advocate&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCTEyMDE2ajBqN6gCD7ACAQ&client=ms-android-tmus-us-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=vclbx

PTMCT reduces the likelihood of transmission but not to zero. Careful with the disinformation.
/r/Divorce_Men22/07/24 11:24 PM

Without antiretroviral therapy (ARVs) or a planned cesarean section, the risk of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV increases significantly. However, even in the absence of these interventions, not all babies born to HIV-positive mothers become HIV-positive. Several factors can influence this outcome: Maternal Viral Load: The amount of HIV in the mother's blood (viral load) is a critical factor. Mothers with a lower viral load are less likely to transmit the virus to their babie .Timing …

Either she cheated, is a junky and used an infected needle, or she had an unsafe blood transfusion outside of the US. I'm going with Door No. 1, bc you'd probably know something about 2 or 3. Good news is that meds are fantastic now and she can lead a normal and long life if she sticks with the treatment protocol. Just ask any doc (I am NOT a doc. )

False.

The probability of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV can vary based on several factors, including whether the mother receives antiretroviral therapy (ART), the method of delivery, and whether the baby is breastfed. Here's a general overview: Without Intervention: The risk of MTCT without any medical intervention is approximately 15-45%. With Antiretroviral Therapy (ART): When the mother receives ART during pregnancy, the risk of transmission can be reduced to less than 5%. And so on

Absolutely a Sociopath. I'm now reading "Sociopath: A Memoir," and OP's STBXW is 100% certifiable Sociopath. He's lucky it ended so quickly, she might have eventually murdered him for insurance money.

I totally hear you, and suspect that the OUTCOME for this one act (telling her) is going to cause some misery. But the question is if the act is moral, and what I was trying to argue is that three of the four philosohers would have said yes - even if it causes unhappiness in this particular case. OP just wants to know if, or be reassured that telling the dudes wife is morally correct. I was really trying to address that question, and not if it's going to create more happiness in the world (which…

I hear you. Definitely in the "utilitarian" quibble camp, but please read my post for more detailed reply.
/r/Divorce_Men17/05/24 08:06 PM

Ah, great question. Let us consult a few moral philosphers. Kant was the categorical imperative guy. His hypothesis was that something (an act) would be considered "moral" if it could be declared law of sorts and everybody had to obey this law. How does your case fit? Well, if the action is too tell the truth when asked by the dude's wife, then hell yes. Definitely want everyone to tell the truth! And if the act is to actively seek out the guy's wife and rat him out, yes again. Why? Because if r…

This?? BPD stands for Borderline Personality Disorder, a complex psychiatric condition characterized by significant emotional instability, impulsive behaviors, and intense interpersonal relationships. People with BPD may experience rapid mood swings, a fear of abandonment, difficulties with self-image, and a chronic feeling of emptiness. They may also engage in self-harm or suicidal behavior. Treatment typically involves psychotherapy, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and sometimes me…

100% And now sitting on the couch reading this after a 16 mile bike ride in fine mist of rain. Feel awesome. And saved some gas for a longer ride tomorrow. Cycling regularly is a key ingredient to fight back against depression, this in combination with meds.
/r/Divorce_Men04/05/24 11:00 PM

Depression is an illness. You can't "man up" to beat an infection or fix a broken leg, so anybody telling you that is an ignorant, irresponsible asshole. End of story. Enough of stigmatizing mental health issues already. Talk to your doctor, and pay no mind to us bozos on the internet without any medical training. I mean, fuck us, totally. I will say (and confirm with your doc) that large doses of aerobic exercise go far to reduce symptoms of depression, and there is published clinical evidence …

Thank you brother, one hell of a club you guys have here. And you're right about the self talk, of course, as the things I've been saying to myself would never be directed at another soul. Your story helps, brother. I'm grateful for your taking the time to write that, likely tapping it out on your phone with two big thumbs. And I gotta say I'm glad I don't own a gun right now, because I'm not sure what I'd do with it. Don't even want to think about that, but I have to admit there have been some dark and angry moments. Reading your post at 4:50 am (not time to get up here), and I'm thinking, this guy has my back. This gives me strength (well, not in a 6'4" mma kinda strength, but you get my point). And yes, mine was a planner. New chairs appearing, and then disappearing. A table vanishing, and then the news she was moving out with our special needs son, with whom I'm very close.
