In an emergency I don’t want my ex-wife anywhere near the decision-making process for what happens to me. I list my father. When he dies, I will list my siblings. If I didn’t have any siblings, I would list my closest trusted relative.

Honestly, the only thing I would be concerned about in this scenario is whether or not he is of sufficiently good character to be around your children. If he doesn’t give off any perv vibes, then I wouldn’t worry about it. If your kids have questions about why mom has a rotating list of new guys in her life, you could address it at that time

Brother I’d love to. It was really like one day my life was on track and then the next day I was starting completely over. Literally - house, job, dating, etc. I was making good progress but then this whole thing happens. Makes me question if I’ll ever be able to evict her as long as I’m in her general proximity. No. The complete blindside of the request for a divorce, her never telling me why, functional homelessness, I was broke with a capital BROKE. It was all a bit traumatic. She got really really nasty.
