So I'm gonna get downvoted for not following the narrative, but I am curious more about this story than the sensationalist headline. In the beginning she is clearly telling him to "keep his hands off of her" with no context. He then seems to keep confronting her while she tries to back him up. She tells him to leave her alone yet he continues to square up with her. She then goes for the fight and all hell breaks loose. But I want to point out to everyone commenting that we have no idea about con…

If he goaded her into a fight then a responsible enough adult would not take the bait.

It did stop, but she was not removed for the classroom and she does not think what she did is wrong, or is sorry, she just feels misquoted.

Assumptions don't help anything and never attribute to malice what can easily be attributed to ignorance.

My thing is, we do not know if a similar poster was not put up in the womens dorms. We also don't know if this is from a larger display or anything. It only tells men (I would assume in an all male dorm) to be active in fighting domestic violence. This is not a bad thing or inherently blaming men for domestic violence but telling them to take up vocal involvement. I think we jump to the worst most of the time because marginalized people always assume the worst (or should I say jaded?)

You ask for examples of how other groups are ensuring the safety of others on campus. When they can't provide that, you sat 'oh it must not be a requirement then' and move on or sue them for the double standard.

At the same time though economics is a very specific set of rules and projections all based off of a completely man-made and arbitrary systems where 2 chickens could easily equal 3 heads of lettuce tomorrow or 8 sheep on Thursday.

Phatphaec your bias is showing..... The parternalistic constructs of language huh? Yep language forced you to create a phrase where all action is taken away from one party and given to another... This is classic propaganda slight-of-hand and isn't just the patriarchy trying to put women down through a language developed as a collective utterances of 7 billion people.... Go on. exactly, something like the local homeless shelter, but make sure that it is the one that houses men. Tell people you are raising money for this shelter because homelessness is a huge problem for men, quote some stats, say this is one of the few homeless shelters that allows men to rest there, citing things about how there are women only shelters but no men's only shelters, and bam... are supporting patriarchy without anyone the wiser ;)

Have goal... make sure that goal is an amazing goal. Put everything towards that goal. If people try to side swipe you with the sexist bullshit, tell them the goal and keep moving towards it. You are not going to be popular but the fight is a good one

but the fact of the matter is that it never should have been a problem in the first place.... Did Dads not used to be part of the family? Did they recently get recognized or some shit? This may be progress, but it is progress that is too slow for the times
