Forget what everyone thinks. Their not the ones who are going to be affected by your decision, you are. If you know in your heart that your mother would be a horrible tenet then you have no obligation to let her stay their. Maybe you turning down your mother will be the push she needs for her to decide to make better decisions so things like this don't happen to her in the future.
