This is sexism, not Men's Rights. Although it is true that women, in general, do work less because of their children, that doesn't mean they shouldn't work.

In all honesty, that's a pretty badass plan. An absolutely terrifying one, but still pretty ingenious. I expected the article to go into how horrible it would have been for the guy afterwards. Welp.

"That’s because the dolls are tied up with questions about gender and power in a way that spatulas (and even vibrators) are not." wat

From the same blog... Okay, um, people need to steer clear of this reactionary stuff. It's not because you're against a movement as a whole that you need to believe in the complete polar opposite. Foetuses aren't people, and birth control is necessary for the sexual freedom of the population. I mean, don't we want the poor to have access to birth control, too? EDIT: Oh, dear.

Steven Pinker on the myth of violence Basically, violence has been declining ever since we've had governments, and one hypothesis says that it might be because governments have a monopoly on violence and therefore makes personal vendettas and aggressivity unnecessary.

I don't see how this is specifically a male thing.

Nobody deserves to die. It's not complicated.

I just realised that she has somewhat ignored me for like a week. She never initiates the conversation... Also, you can't really teach jazz or formal piano, and I'm not a very good guitarist.

I play the piano (jazz), trombone, drums and guitar. She plays the piano (very formally) and french horn (we're in a music program).

Well I didn't ask her out today because you made me doubt (and I guess I'm nervous about it) and I didn't really have the occasion as she's rarely alone. I was thinking maybe sort of teaching her how to compose music but I'm not really sure about it. And even if I stay in the friendzone, I don't really mind. Shit happens, and her friends are pretty cool, too (this doesn't mean I'm quitting). Here's proof I'm a composer: http://www.youtube.com/user/JollyBard

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
