Actually I believe it is called feticide (sp) unless someone can prove the baby was actually considered legally alive outside the womb (took a breath or something). The penalties aren't as harsh as murder. There was a case in my state not long ago unfortunately, and due to incompetence the baby was cremated before autopsy.

I think you got it in reverse. Saw it done on Manswers, if that isn't reputable enough, they had a scientist explain all the reasoning behind it. Edit: can't remember for sure, but I think they have to be a certain size relative to the woman's body also.

Of course she is more than likely going to lie. If a woman becomes pregnant by someone other then her husband or boyfriend, it means she was cheating. If a person can cheat on a significant other and find any reason in his/her mind to justify it, that person will probably have no problem lying, regardless how big the lie is.

I love how the author of this article is completely unsure whether this woman is being wronged because she is a woman or wronged because she is black. So we make arguments for both in separate paragraphs because it is perfectly acceptable to assume this is some sort of double discrimination case, if she were a man or white, she wouldn't have been arrested.

I actually experienced this. I would call my wife crying daily at work. I lost 60 lbs in a couple months and quit my job the day before Christmas Eve (my son was 6 months old at the time). I had no backup job planned. I thought I was going through a severe depression at around the same time my son was born and that the two were unrelated, because only women experience postpartum right? It happens to men too.

I know what you are trying to do, but the fact is if you think men who only put their hands up to defend themselves against women striking them have not ended up in jail for domestic abuse, you'd be wrong. Happens quite often where I live.

I see no problem badmouthing any individual woman for what she has said/done. To badmouth all women or categorize all women on any one topic works directly against what we are trying to achieve. I don't believe any of us would defend a man who committed rape actions, just fight against the stereotypes regarding men in general and rape. By doing exactly what we are trying to prevent happening to us, we become hypocrites and undermine the cause we want outsiders to start helping us realize.

I'm here to be informed and make a difference, not to complain or hate on women (as the trolls want to suggest). If the roles were reversed, I'd still sign the petition. Wrong is wrong, regardless of gender. That is my view, and what got me interested in men's rights in the first place.

You are completely off-base, and have no idea what it is like to live as a woman. You know what it is like to live as a trans-gender, something that still holds a very negative view and is looked down upon in most societies. If you think at least half the people who see you can't notice the things about you that are still indicative of you be born a man, you are wrong. Your perception is falsely formed.

I always thought pay was overall compensation. If that's true, isn't the fact that health insurance on average is more for a woman (I've heard of no health plans offered through businesses that are more expensive for their female employees so I assume the business eats the difference) part of what causes this tiny gap that people are saying is actually there?
