A star NBA player trumps pretty much any current rapper outside of maybe Drake (and maybe Jay-Z, Kanye, 50, and Lil Wayne in the past decade... Kendrick and Em too but got different type of appeal). Most other rappers wear fake or borrowed jewelry and are more or less just gang members these days.

Maybe they'd be in delusional in much of Europe where people go to Dutch and the dating culture is different, but that's not the case in a lot of places in the US. Especially in NYC, it was a trend in recent years of women in their 20s and even 30s accepting dates with men each day of the week for free dinners. How widespread this phenomenon is beyond NYC or other major American citites is anybody's guess, but it definitely exists at some level. Add to that many women in the US making demands fo…

Their gender presentation changes and their sex characteristics may change during transition, just like it may for female bodybuilder on steroids, but the actual reproductive sex does not change from one category go the other as humans are not a hermaphroditic species. So if a trans person had biological children they can only ever be a biological father or mother to their children - i.e. not a female father. A trans woman can be socially and legally female though, but that is different from bei…

It's a queer attraction on the bi/pan spectrum. One could sensibly call it gynephilic bisexuality but some people wouldn't find it validating enough, I suppose.

Straight porn websites feature plenty of trans women, gay porn websites don’t. They are not "straight websites," nor do they generally advertise as such rather than just adult content. Transgender content is also segmented from "straight" content on these websites (unlike all other "straight" categories based on ethncity, fetishes, and even lesbuans) because it caters to fundamentally different preferences even if some enjoy both. There is research that has conceptualized trans attraction (speci…

Most people haven’t really wrapped their heads around the idea of gender not equaling genitals. This by itself is a hill a ton of people will die on. People that aren't queer don't use gender identity over sexual characteristics to conceptualize their own or others sexuality, and for good reason - they themselves don't experience predominantly gender identity-based attractions. Even so, there are actually labels that specifies trans-focused and trans-inclusive attractions but a lot of trans advo…

It's one thing to respect how someone identifies, and a different thing to literally believe certain behaviors correspond with particular sexualities, empirically and definitionally. For instance, if closeted homoflexible men identify as straight because of hetero privilege, that doesn't make the behavior hooking up with 10 new male partners for every one first date with a woman straight behavior because of how they identify. You can respect his choice to identify as straight, and not out him wh…

The counter point to your argument is that actual gay men, and I mean men who would typically identify as gay, are near exclusively not attracted to trans women. Which makes sense, because gay guys aren't attracted to women, or by extension, people who present/identify as women. And actual straight men are near exclusively not interested in trans women either, arguably even less than gay men. Meanwhile, though, bisexual and queer men are interested to a much larger degree, suggesting that it's a…

You're a whole entire mess. Not only is it generally inadvisable to go after a coworker, especially one you just met, you're creepy insistence after rejection could make you liable for sexual harrassment and ruin your career. You appear unable to read social cues and put women on a pedestal so you should probably just stick to online dating unless you want get labeled a creep at your new location.
/r/seduction19/07/24 09:42 PM

Sure, women generally tend to prefer to date men their "own age," at any age, not just their 20s. Some women in graduate school even find men dating someone two years younger in college "weird" or "creepy." However, once you've been in the real world for a few years, plenty of women still in their 20s open up to dating men in their 30s and maybe even 40s, especially if you live in a large city because such men are still at a similar "life stage" just with way more money, status, and life experie…

Those stereotypes are for women in the US, not Europe or Africa, and, even there, it's more of a class and socioeconomic issue while still also being a gross generalization by dudes "redpilled" by the Black manosphere during the pandemic.

I think they're making the distinction that men care about celebrities more in terms about their craft than about gossip regarding their personal lives and relationships. For instance, men would care about Leonardo DiCaprio's next movie while many women would care about Leo's next girlfriend and her age. Celebrity endorsed prodicts are just marketing and for athletes it's usually sports-related anyway. If I'm going play basketball, why not wear the same shoes that LeBron does.

I implore you to use some common sense. No, a 40-year-old teacher being nice to you is just being nice, and is not just going to damage her career and social reputation by hooking up with what is essentially a kid (in her eyes). You're just way too horny, buddy, and it's clouding your judgement. If she wasn't your teacher, it'd be fine to make a move, but you got to keep in mind that 40-year-old women don't tend think the same way about life and relationships as 20-year-olds, which is why it's a…

It's mostly autism that does it. Not sure why other "neurodivergent" conditions are all lumped together in this way, as it is basically just any mental and behavioral difference from the norm, including those that may be beneficial for a man in attracting women such as dark triad traits. Even something like ADHD isn't even a handicap when it manifests as risk-taking, fun-loving, partygoing, and globetrotting, while being socially competent. It makes sense to me because sexual and romantic attraction is 100% triggered by looks and older men are not in their prime in looks especially given that men can start balding at 18. That is much less true for men than women. Both men and women are subconsciously attracted to good genes and fertility, and age is just a proxy for that. There is likely a strong social aspect to women's preferences rather than purely biological, otherwise it would trend the same as those of men. So young women pre…

I think men here often play a very cunning subconscious game where they will say women are attracted to older men, and when they do so, they use a very complex definition of "attracted to" which is to say that they realize these men are not physically attractive to these women, but that their money, power, status, and sometimes maturity (compared to a very young woman) are attractive. And then they pretend that means he's physically attractive to her. It's not disingeneous. Women generally aren'…

That may in part be because men with autistic traits are likely to have children later in life. But simply being over 40 or even 50 when becoming a father does not mean there is a great risk the child will be autistic. Even if it's slightly greater than a younger man's risk, the absolute risk is still fairly low.

Yikes! Why would you ask these questions in the first place? These questions aren't even "flirty" either, just cringe, unless maybe she's taking the initiative first. You don't need to be open about your inexperience but don't put on her a pedastal such that you worry excessively about trashy white lies being discovered in a relationship unlikely to happen (assuming you're talking to multiple women).
/r/seduction14/02/24 08:39 AM

Anatomical features are coded by genes but behaviors are not. Of course, they are. Hence how dogs and cats become domesticated and why pitbull terriers exhibit more aggression than golden retrievers, etc. Selective breeders carefully pay attention to the behaviors of the parents to control the probability of certain behavioral traits occurring in the offspring. The four laws of behavioral genetics seem to focus on genetic twins which in my opinion does not invalidate the extensive research on ho…

You are wrong. The best example I can give of this is greats like Kobe/MJ. Kobe and MJ aren't autistic (though Einstein may have been), which I think is the implied emphasis of OP, not simply being way more competitive and single-minded than average. Sure, "neurodivergence" can terminologically be applied to non-autistic traits or conditions but it's predominantly a term related to the autism and autism rights movement. So referring to non-autistic traits as enabling a person to be successful, e…

It's obvious that lots of closeted bisexual men label themselves as straight yet behave otherwise. That still doesn't disprove the numerous studies that have shown women to be much more sexually fluid overall (even subconsciously) than men, which is also borne out in the real world.

Lol I was about to say. Most women prefer gay porn and bi men because they're much more attentive imo. "Most women" don't even watch porn and among those that do, gay male porn is far from the most popular category. In fact, lesbian porn is the top ranked category, but that's mostly because the straight category is so heavily segmented yet could also suggest that two women having sex is still way more appealing to straight women than two gay men.

There are a lot of women who find MM hot. Gay male/male fanfiction and erotica written by women is now even more popular than heterosexual romance. Fanfiction is incredibly niche and has long been dominated by slash shippers and written by queer people themselves or straight women that fetishize gay relationships. I don't think that a small portion of women being highly enthusiastic about gay fanfiction translates into the vast majority of straight women finding their man sucking penis to be a d…

There's likely some self-selection bias involved. That is, women with very strong height preferences such that they'll buy a premium membership to filter out shorter men will be overrepresented in the sample. Also, height preferences abd such may not be as rigid IRL where men can better reflect other, less superficial qualities about themselves. Tall height is still a major benefit in general but the blackpill narrative is overblown.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 09:02 AM

No, it's an inclusion filter based on range of heights included among women stating their height preferences. There's a self-selection bias present though so it's not entirely appropriate to extend the same preferences to single women dating in general.

What's interesting to me is if white is the beauty standard in Western countries then it's not fully explanatory for why Asian women are more popular than white women. I think this data is just for the US, but in general they tend to be less overweight abd shorter on average than other races and there may be a perception that they're also more submissive. That doesn't mean the idealized Western beauty standard of a tall-ish blonde chick a la Taylor Swift, which most white woman do not come close…

Of course, it's socially acceptable. That's what why constitutes a preference. Publicly shaming people for being bisexual or having a high number of sex partners shouldn't be (but often is) socially acceptable, but the stigma still exists in much of the modern heterosexual dating market. People just keep it to themselves.

Men with decent incomes can age very well without being close to rich. The issue isn't wealth but lifestyle and self-care. Lots of guys simply don't care about how they look (no skin care routine or sense of style), have a poor diet, bad stress management, and don't workout properly so they age poorly. It's not even that men become more desirable in a vacuum compared to peer-aged women. It's that they become RELATIVELY more desirable as they age in relation to the women they want to attract wher…

Not so fast. Studies also show that autistic men are just as empathetic as their NT counterparts [7] on top of lying less frequently overall and lying less adeptly [8]. This doesn't appear true even according to the cited study: The results showed that the empathy impairment evident in individuals with ASCs is component specific; that is, trait-cognitive empathy, trait-empathic concern, state-cognitive empathy, and state-empathic concern are impaired, whereas state-empathic accuracy remains inta…

To an extent but the pattern is typically stronger the other way around. Women screen out men not on their level or above, educationally and professionally, but men generally don't have an equally strong preference. It's the whole basis for why dating is "hard" for educated women in large cities since women get more degrees than men and won't "date down." In medicine, for instance, 25% of female doctors marry other doctors and 11% marry non-doctor healthcare professionals such as nurses, whereas…

Lol, 1D Harry Styles appealed to teenagers. His current appeal is among women in their 20s is based on leveraging his status as a rock star and fashion icon, not his "ideal of masculinity." Ironically, he's actually become more masculine with age. Surprise fact though: star power nets you attraction regardless. There's a difference between 26 and 31 and 26 and 36. And even so, it may not be due to lack of attraction but simply because they don't hang out in the same circles. 36-year-olds hang out with other 36-year-olds and are also likely to meet and get to know other women who are around 36-year-olds and potentially date them. Likewise with 26-year-olds and 31-year-olds. But that doesn't mean there's an inherent lack of attraction due to those dating and sicializing patterns. Students from College X …

These are two separate things and don't really make a point. Whether men are disgusted with promiscuous women or not is independent from whether or not women like older men. In religious societies, sich as in the Middle East for instance, promoscuity is frowned upon but many marriages got large age gaps in large due to the man's status (aquired over time). Anime has a lot of good examples of the female gaze. Its truly astounding how much content is geared to female audiences compared to western nations, where female gaze is almost nonexistent (anime still has more male gaze content but stuff for women is certainly there). I know Mad Max had a feminist consultant, but just because you a have strong female co-lead doesn't men it has a "female gaze." Same with Wonder Woman to a great extent. I can't recall either of them really having any sexualized males, while both movies had notably "sexy" female actors and supermodels like Gal Galdot and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Yes, I'd say the "female gaze" is basically about a very high-value man (i.e. prince) or men finding a relatable but otherwise low- or medium-value women irresistable. The Bachelorette is probably an example of this dynamic for women, but also the Bachelor in a sense as pretty but average women get to attain a "prince" and women live vicariously through the competitors.

Useless analogue. This is much closer in comparison to asking lesbians when it's OK for straight men to approach them. Heterosexual gender dynamics and expectations are also different even if men can over do it or lack the social awareness of when it's appropriate to approach.

It's somewhat common for women above 25 to date men 5 to 10 years older (and sometimes more) especially in larger cities. I don't think a lot men in their 30s even in NYC go for college-aged women except for a potential hook-up due to differences in maturity levels and lifestyle. But if a guy stays in shape as he ages, it's not too difficult to attract women in their mid-to-late 20s, relatively speaking, specifically IRL. No, it isn't. The old fashion way is meeting women at a bar, night club, house party, social circle, hobbies, school, work, etc. Hitting on women at work or systematically cold approaching women at a mall is (justifiably) deemed creepy these days but most other situations is fair game. People know that they can fall back on online dating though so it might make such situations trickier to realize but it's still kosher.

I believe they're saying that while regular sex is an implied contract in monogamy, and necessary for compatibility for many couples, some women may believe they have the similar libido as their man and that the man is demanding too much or that it's his fault for not being able to get her in the mood. So then the women won't view it as a sexual compatibility issue and instead blame the man for her lack of desire and breaking the implied contract.

It's also a tribal brain thing and humans are inherently tribal. If you show that you're unable to adhere to tribal (i.e.) social norms and customs, then you're much more likely to become a social outcast (from the tribe) which is unattractive in terms of ensuring the survival of your spring (a key subconscious driver of sexual attraction).
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/22 12:02 AM

Not really. People are called incels due to how they behave in relation to not being able to get with women, not necessarily just for being single and "bad with women." If your autism and celibacy don't evolve into a social movement and attitudes chastising women as a whole, then you're unlikely to face "legitimate" criticism for your status.

I've previously stated that the ideal height preference for women who actively prefer TALL men (in the West) is 6'2"-6'6" and this data bears that out. In a lot of Western countries, 6 ft is just about average height or a bit taller and is as such not considered definitively tall.

There has been an uptick in crime in many areas since the pandemic but the overall trend is still that violence and human suffering is declining overall, both in the US and globally. People typically think it's getting worse because of the narratives and news stories covered by the media, not because of actual data. I don't think women go for the bodybuilder obsessed with proteins type of guy. I think that's just male fantasy. Bodybuilders were never attractive for hetero women. This is too much black-and-white thinking as if all women have the same preferences. Not by the absolute hottest women, though maybe the men. Many of the hottest women just want to be serviced with vanilla sex and could "get away" with putting in minimal effort or find another high quality man if the current bf is unsatisfied. Women with a chip on their shoulder looks-wise, though still possibly rather hot, are more likely to engage in hotter and kinkier sex to maintain a great sex life and strong relationship with a high value man who'd get bored with vanilla sex.

I highly doubt it, men find the thought of a bisexual women to be extremely arousing. Usually, only if they wish to have threesome in a relationship, otherwise no. Also, women's sexuality and men's sexuality work differently on average. Men are more strongly visual while women often care more about intangible and behavioral traits, which is why may also find bisexuality a turn-off in a partner, which they literally explain themselves in OP.

Finding something to sexually be a turn-off, isn't the same thing as "finding them disgusting." Just because Sally is turned off by geriatric men doesn't mean she finds grandpa "disgusting."

That does not automatically mean that sexual and romantic preferences can't also have roots in engrained bigotries. Then prove that outside the context of dating then, if it's truly that bigoted. Otherwise you are in fact just shaming people for their sexual boundaries, which at some level is predatory regardless of any generic disclaimers. So maybe questioning people's preferences "can be both" trying to point out bigotry and be predatory at the same time.

One man's 9/10 is another's 3/10. I would possibly date this hypothetical woman you described, and I do think stereotypes can negatively affect black women in dating, but it's a bit like telling people to ask why they wouldn't you date this 9/10 400-lb woman if they're not into obese women because of physical preferences rather than cultural stereotypes about fat people lazy and healthy.

No one should be pressured into sex or relationships with anyone, but it's really worth examining why someone has racial preferences, or height preferences, or weight preferences, or any other preferences about things that are not fully within someone's control. Unless you keep dating the wrong people because of your date selection criteria, no it kinda isn't. Even then, most physical preferences aside from ethnicity are tied to indicators of genetic health and fertility to varying degrees and a…

Having sex with other men is technically less masculine behavior since most men don't have sex with men, but exclusively with men. Doesn't men they're less masculine in all other ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/22 09:10 PM

It literally is less masculine, since being attracted to and having sex with men is a behavior overwhelmingly associated with women, not men. That doesn't mean certain related stereotypes about bisexual men are correct though.

Most men look like chemo patients bald. I'm not saying balding is better, of course not, but no if you are an average man (actual average) even lifting won't make you handsome bald. Lots of darker skinned men look pretty good with bald hair, but otherwise a guy would likely have to be able to lean in to a rugged bearded look (which may even be incongruent) to look handsome.

Depends on where you live, really. It's much easier to attract younger women when you get older in major metropolitan cities in the US than in small towns. A lot of people that doom/chastisize age gaps even over 3-5 years don't seem to live around big cities. Not that age gaps are the norm, but it's not really a big issue.

It's because straight men aren't queer but many men with queer attractions and relationships still identify as straight even if their sexual behavior technically doesn't constitute heterosexuality (which is based on sex). Similar pattern exist with women, except women's sexuality tends to be less rigid than men's so there are more women with fluid sexualities that identify as straight than there are men and that are conceivably open to date and marry trans men. Some detractors label this bigotry…

Anecdotally, 6'4 to 6'6" is a bit of a polarizing range but a lot of women REALLY like really tall men beyond 6'0" so probably cancels out the effect of shorter women that wouldn't consider themselves a good fit. 4) With a good frame probably above 6'7"-6'8" unless top athlete, but at that point it could still be positively used for peacocking unlike b…

I'm starting to feel my age already, I don't think I could've done having a toddler in my forties or older haha. Hrm, no they don't really unless you lead a unhealthy lifestyle. Yes, women are statistically more sexually fluid than men are and male sexuality is typically deemed to be more rigid whether gay or straight. One possible evolutionary reason could be that a bisexual woman could have six with one man and five women or five men and one woman within in a year and both setups would result in a single offspring. By comparison, a bisexual guy could have sex with five men and one woman or five women and one man which would result in either just one or five offspring.…

I'd at least go with half-your-age plus-7 rule. A 35-year-old and 18-year-old are way too incompatible lifestyle wise to be intrigued by each other (and I think that goes both ways). Even a 25-year-old is typically too old for an 18-year-old. To a 25- to 28-year-old woman though, the 35-year-old very well could have a major advantage, and there'd be no contest with 28+ women.

No you could think gender is irrelevant and be comfortable being born male or female sex and be ok with it. That would make you gender non-conforming and cisgender. The idea that gender is a social construct has more to do with the different associations society attaches to things based on biological sex. Initially, the concept was mainly related to grammatical categories such as feminine and masculine nouns in French and later on gender roles. Ballix. More Bluepilled nonsense. TIL science is Blue Pilled. The difference is in availability. Women know that that they can get casual sex, at any time, with a decently attractive man. A variation on A and C. There are fewer women on dating apps because women can much more easily find relationship opportunities in real life. On dating apps women are also much more selective (in part due to evolutionary sexual selection pressures) about who they swipe right on, again, because they have many more potential mating opportunities/offers both online and in real life. It will likely only change for closeted queer and bisexual people who may be more open with their preferences than previously, but maybe that change was already happening. It's natural for older men to be attracted to young women in their early 20s. Women are the same way. That isn't true, generally speaking. Women are attracted to men their own age and a bit above as they grow older, while men continue to find women in their 20s most attractive, regardless of age. Whether any of these potential pairings are always completely compatible is another issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/21 03:27 PM

I believe the issue with the opposite-sex brain argument is that the overall data is actually mixed and doesn't conclusively state that trans people have the brain phenotype of the opposite sex, which already isn't definitive. Rather, there are some slight observed correlations with opposite sex brains in SOME structures, while most other structures resemble their birth sex. Furthermore, it's not quite clear how much of those correlations are due to sexual orientation rather than gender identity…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 09:18 PM

It's often overstated but there kind of would have to be something to it on average, given the known effects of hormones on the brain and behavior, and also since men are predominantly interested in women, and women are predominantly interested in men. If gendered brains weren't a thing, at some level, then men would be as sexually interested in men as women are, and vice versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/21 08:47 PM

That wouldn't actually be heterosexual though, but more on the queer spectrum. Sexual orientation is technically based on sex and two people of the same sex can't be in a straight, opposite-sex relationship by definition.

I mean, that doesn't really mean anything. People get the toys that help them "get off" the best way they see fit for a particular moment. Getting off is getting off whether it takes more or less time, is more or less intense, relies more or less on imagination, etc. Some women can find using a vibrator to orgasm unfulfilling just like how some men find jerking off just to cum unfulfilling, and instead both groups may resort to dildos and fleshlights, respectively.

Well, of course. That's the whole premise of social circle game. Doesn't mean close friends though, just somebody in an ectended friendship circle which helps in "subconsciously" vetting people and men in particular to make more desirable than a stranger. In addition, exposure also helps in amplifying "lust" or crushes which is much more likely in common settings or friendship circles once out of school.
