You're getting whiny for no reason, I'm focusing on your points and you're bringing up other stuff like white knighting. Using an "oxymoronic argument" is just an argument with an oxymoron in it, which is a basic literally device and has nothing to do with the validity of the argument. It's like you're saying "anyone who uses a rhetorical question but doesn't know what a rhetorical question is, must be wrong. Or anyone who uses the informal definition of "literally" (to mean the opposite) must b…

You muddied your point with the baseless idea that unknowingly using an oxymoron somehow discredits an argument which it plainly doesn't. As anyone with knowledge of the English language could tell you, the usage of words changes over time. The figurative use of different words changes, especially given different contexts. If your best argument is to whine about changing definitions rather than actual facts and reality, then it's probably because that's all you've got going on

If you use an oxymoronic argument unknowingly, it telegraphs that you are unaware of the inherent contradiction of your own statement or argument. Are you claiming that any argument which uses an oxymoron (ex. "controlled chaos", "awfully good") is therefore wrong or fundamentally contradictory? Like would you say that my argument is disqualified/contradictory if I saw "Ice cream is awfully good"?

What reason could you possibly give a sex g-d that you don't want to have sex with him?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 08:01 PM

Both would be anecdotal and not stronger than any actual evidence, but it's easier to have a full story when talking about yourself than your friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 07:59 PM

So (correct me if I'm wrong but) your argument is that "usage of an oxymoron demonstrates lack of thorough consideration which therefore undermines the underlying point/argument". But you haven't demonstrated the first part of that argument, ie. why the usage of an oxymoron demonstrates lack of consideration. (or perhaps I missed that part)

The assumption of irrationality presumes superiority How so? No population, including one's own population, makes all decisions based solely on rationality. that presumption blinds one to further investigation of the information that one does not have. Also, how so? The belief that populations don't act rationally doesn't at all mean that there is no reason/cause at all for their actions, just that they are not logical automatons, but rather complex animals.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 07:55 PM

you're not saying why that is a good way to learn the truth, you're just claiming it. Why is it beneficial to assume wrongly that people act based on rationality and then use that false assumption as the basis for an argument as you are doing?

I don't know about that if a man has any sense he learns pretty quick what his rate is. I wouldn't count on your own intuition over the research. Women are the ones that can easily be mislead. As people in general are likely to give them compliments let alone the men pursuing. Men are also mislead in many many ways - do you have any actual evidence to show that women are more susceptible in general? Women can get this even if they aren't all that hot. Since some men will pursue for a better chan…

I think it actually is the opposite to start. Men tend to overestimate their attractiveness (Studies in evolutionary psychology and dating behavior (e.g., research on online dating platforms like OkCupid and Tinder) consistently show that men rate themselves as more attractive than others rate them.) While women are more realistic - Women’s self-assessments often align more closely with how others perceive them. However, to your point - women can be mislead throughout time about their 'league' b…

If a community of women online told you that you should only date women over 200 pounds, would you stop swiping right on any girls that look under that?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 08:22 PM

Sure, as long as you realize that you're describing a no-win situation for women at large, and not using this ideology to guide your own dating life
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 08:17 PM
1

Ah ok, if that's your whole point then I don't necessarily disagree with it. I think lots of women do begin lowering their standards starting at about 26+ as needed to find a partner and some get quite desperate since time is on the men's side. so it's not all bad for the men imo
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 07:54 PM
1

I agree with the internal logic of your if/then statement except that many men *believe* women to have utility to them (myself included). So even if I take your claim that women provide net negative utility, it doesn't mean that men, on average, agree on that point—so they can still expect to garner utility, even if they're not getting it. And why would they not expect that, since ultimately we are animals that are driven to procreate? Our brains are not built primarily to perform logical argume…

Only if your intention is to point out something linguistically ironic/funny, but not if you're actually trying to argue against the point. ie. just because something is an oxymoron, or because a definition changed (even to the opposite of the original meaning), doesn't make the underlying claim/argument untrue whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 07:35 PM

It doesn't prove or show men don't get utility for themselves from women
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 07:26 PM

Which is not a relevant fact if you are trying to engage with the actual discussion or logic being discussed, or to prove red pill ideas. If your goal is to debate linguistics then you're debating in the wrong language, since English is famously fluid in comparison to other languages.

Seems like we agree: the literal definition of "King" hasn't necessarily changed (yet), but the usage in this context is not equivalent to the literal definition.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 05:57 PM

So they do have children? Happy to respond to your point about outsourcing as well but wanted to establish that. Many men, especially traditional ones who do all the work in a household, strongly prefer for their wife to do a lot of the child rearing rather than strangers, and there are many good reasons for that. For these men, are you saying that you think the only 'utility' the men see in their wives is as child-makers? The women don't take care of the men at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 05:54 PM
1

You can't base your behaviour in a 1:1 relationship on your impression of the wider world and millions of other people. It's a partnership you're forging with 1 person and you're only accountable to each other in that relationship. If you stay with a woman who doesn't treat you well, leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 05:51 PM

Are they all childless forever? Do any of the women take care of the men in any way? When you say social set, what do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 05:08 PM

It is an essential aspect to the literal and original definition of a king, yes, but not to the modern usage of "king" in the context of relationships. Words are not static in the English language.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 05:04 PM
1

>Men do this all the time and never resent it. Curious - do you think men have 0 expectation of utility when they look for a "generous"/"kind" girl? Do they not think her kindness will benefit their children, or himself when/if he is sick? Would most men be happy with a generous woman who doesn't want children, doesn't want to work and wants to be in control of how much the couple donates to charity? (if that's too extreme an example, let's say she does work)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 04:56 PM

Fair enough, I'll be more clear. When people today say they treat their bf/husband "like a king", they are clearly not referring to every single aspect of being a king, but are selectively referring to specific parts about a king, primarily about respecting his opinions, treating him well, etc. It seems like you agree that this is not typically how people use the phrase "treat like a king" as you pointed out that the commenter doesn't *actually* treat their man like a king. I'm saying that it do…

I don't assume you're lying. A person can tell the truth when they say "my child got autism right after taking a vaccine" - and that might be true, but it doesn't mean I'll instantly believe that the 2 are connected. Anecdotes, even when true, don't prove sweeping claims.

And do you also think that a "king"'s girlfriend should take him to get leached if he gets sick? Or should she take him to a normal doctor? If she should take him to a normal doctor, do you think maybe you're being too literal?

In mature and healthy relationships, partners start off in a positive state of mind, actively seeking to do good for their partner and also expecting good in return; that is part of the unspoken agreement foundational to a relationship. When you lose that, you're in trouble and often have to rebuild it painstakingly.

"believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment." Inherently is the key word that the guy above is not getting. A plumber who fixes your toilet is deserving of payment, but he is not an entitled person, because the payment he is owed is not based on his inherently deserving it, but rather the work he's done and you agreed to have done.

>U didn't earn ur parents love. U didn't earn ur friends love. U didn't earn ur siblings love. U didn't earn ur love for urself. All of these are incorrect except for your parents. Many many people need therapy just to earn love from themselves. And the fact that you need to earn love from your friends should go without saying. Why do you think that some people become your friend and others don't?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 10:43 AM

"I deserve..." = "I'm entitled to..." = Being entitled. Nope. You're completely misunderstanding a crucial part of the definition of "entitled". Simply believing you're entitled to something actually isn't enough to meet the definition of entitled (either the dictionary or colloquial definition). For example, when you hire an plumber who comes to your house and fixes your toilet, he will feel "entitled" to payment—but guess what? That doesn't mean he meets the definition of entitled, which is "b…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 10:21 AM

It absolutely does. The vast vast majority of men are never going to ghost a woman who is much more attractive than themselves. On the flip side, if a man thinks he can "do better" than a girl he's dating/talking to, he's much more likely to give mixed signals, act like a fuckboy etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 10:12 AM

They wouldn't, but the analogy is flawed. There are men out there who are looking for different things, including long term relationships, just maybe not with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 10:09 AM

Really. I'm not saying that selecting through a choice of hundreds of men is easy at all, but it's easier/better to have 100 choices (and therefore the ability to ignore 50% etc.) than to have 5 choices in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/25 10:08 AM

I would feel perfectly fine with that if I was in a stage of life where I was looking to get married. Otherwise I would move on to another woman.

What have you given up in your life that's equivalent to a young man giving up sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/25 05:33 PM

There is a power dynamic - that's why some men consider it "getting sex" rather than "having sex", although the vast majority think of it in both ways. That doesn't mean that women aren't involved or that they don't have agency. I can say I'm trying to "get a job", but that doesn't mean the employer doesn't have agency - if anything, the employer has the most agency.

You believe that any woman who likes having a career is a feminist? And you think anything in society can change if you exclude all women with jobs (about 70%+, 85 million in the US) from the conversation?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 08:22 PM

There's a difference. It's like how men don't care if a girl goes to the gym, but they do care about their fitness. Analogously, women care about a man's social skills, not as much that he has autism. These are related qualities but not the same.

I'm not sure why you're bringing up geriatric pregnancy even though the chance to conceive begins decreasing before it would even be considered geriatric. It seems like you're trying to argue that risk and chance-to-conceive are mutually exclusive or that only one is a factor? But that is simply incorrect - the existence of increased risk does not negate the basic fact that a woman's chance to conceive lowers with age. The vast majority of people you meet won't be actively assuming red-pill or other reddit-based ideas and using those to analyze everything you do. If you're consistently getting into arguments with men you're trying to date, then it's highly likely that you are putting something negative into those interactions. There are definitely men like the ones you're describing, but I don't agree that they make up the majority of men who are chasing casual sex (sure, they probably make up the majority of men *over the age of like 27 who continue to do so, but not the larger amount of young men who just aren't ready for a relationship and love to have sex with different girls, and are on campus, for example, where girls are running around in hot tight little clubbing outfits, skin tight leather, etc.)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 04:07 PM

They do both, as you're admitting when you say "getting off", so I'm not sure why you say "No" at the beginning of your comment if you're agreeing with me
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 04:04 PM

That strategy becomes highly irrational after a certain number of rejections (which is less than hundreds probably) and I don't think it's realistic at all in most cases compared to becoming an "incel", whether they do so loudly on the internet or more quietly by just preferring video games and porn at home instead of going out.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 04:03 PM
3

Some do and some don't, which makes sense because of other factors, including intense social stigma, laws and fear of STD's. None of that means that sexual desire isn't driving normal casual sex
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 03:40 PM
3

I think I disagree - ego is not at all a driving factor for a man who has already gone through 100's of rejections. If anything, a man in this situation would best protect his ego by never talking to another woman his entire life, and saying that he's "focusing on himself" or whatever other cope. The fact that a man can go through so many rejections (ie. blows to his ego) and still keep going shows exactly the inverse of what you're saying - that there are primary driving factors beyond his ego
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 03:35 PM
2

It's not meant to debunk that ego plays a big part - it's meant to show that sexual desire is also a major factor and it's difficult to say which is more powerful overall. Yes, porn is easy and fun - and building up one's ego is hard (for those who aren't hot enough to get it through casual sex) - so it's not easy to say "they watch porn and don't go to the gym, so clearly they care more about sex than ego. Both are big factors
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 03:11 PM
2

Yeah they don't get anything from it, and what do they do? Do they work on themselves in some way to boost their ego? No, they fulfill their sexual desire.

If it's primarily about ego, then why do men who fail at casual dating turn to other sexual activities like porn or just leering at women in public? What makes you think that ego is more powerful than horniness/dopamine chasing/need for companionship?

Yeah most can have at least 1. If we're talking about multiple children, 3 for example, the chance becomes 3/4 at 33 and 1/2 at 36. Still not horrible chances, but for something this important, it's a pretty big difference - especially if you're a man selecting between otherwise similar women. Edit: source - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4542717

1

I agree that the problem is largely in his head. however, their is clearly a difference in what women look for for hookups vs relationships, and in some situations like those described in op, it may be obvious that the man lacks certain obvious looks/ charm
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:00 PM
1

It's not just that he feels he doesn't get sex, but that he feels unattractive to his partner as well, which could hurt anyone in a relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 11:41 AM
1

I specifically said that your statement was true lol, are you even reading my comments? I never said that generalized statements were bad or wrong either, seriously it's like you're talking to someone else
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:41 AM
1

You sound like an antivaxxer clinging to the 0.00001 chance of an adverse reaction. Just because you're making a very generalized true statement doesn't have bearing on the (very slightly) more nuanced point I'm making.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:37 AM
1

I didn't communicate well there. My intended meaning by "As likely to", since I was responding to the comment above, was "As likely to be able to conceive" Which is scientifically and biologically true - each cycle has a lesser change to conceive with age. Factor in other possible issues, miscarriages, and the amount of kids a woman might want, and there is the increased potential for issue with age
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:35 AM
1

Yes :) Now that we agree on those basic perspectives we can say: Since most women want to be married before having kids, then for most women, being unmarried at 30 also means they don't have kids at 30, and it's now statistically less likely that they will achieve their life goal in the same timeframe as before. It's fair to say that miscarriages are also much more common than people think, which can of course throw the timeline off by a huge amount.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:34 AM
1

I asked you to "show or prove [how your point is] right or reasonable" (ie. justify what you said) I never said to justify your answer "to someone" And you think that is a world apart from "Why do you think that?"
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:31 AM
1

Don't you think that most women who want children, also want to do that within a marriage?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:28 AM
1

What are we doing here lol It's a public forum and you're directly responding to my comments. If you want to just type "Yes", "No", "Yes", over and over with no explanation, go for it - but don't get weird when someone asks "Why do you think that?"
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:27 AM
1

You gave what you thought was an answer, but was actually just an anecdote that happens to go against a question about large populations, which cannot by definition prove much of anything. For example, if person A asks: "Do you think that men are smart?" And person B answers: "No—I know 10 men who are all dumb. That doesn't mean much, does it? You're person B in this scenario
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:26 AM

Justify, definition; to show or prove to be right or reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:22 AM
0

I meant that it's less likely they'll biologically be able to conceive (separate from their choice to start trying), not less likely that they'll have a baby
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:22 AM
1

that's true
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:20 AM
1

true, because people start trying later
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:20 AM
1

That statement is true, but it doesn't prove your claim that "Even then, there's no consequences." - which is refuted by the basic fact that chance of fertility per cycle decreases with age. That's a consequence. Many people already have decreased chance to get pregnant or just get unlucky. If you're 30 and having fertility problems, most people first try for a year, maybe 6 months before even investigating, losing them more time
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:19 AM
0

How can you justify these answers?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:13 AM
1

Right lol. he spends a lot more than that I'm sure And lots of the guys who went on one or two dates with you probably spent more than $60 per night with you, and probably went on to spend on other girls after
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:12 AM
-2

Knowing lots of women doesn't mean much. There are millions upon millions of unattractive/poor/etc. people in great relationships - does that mean that ugly/poor people are just as likely to find a high quality partner that they're interested in? Do they not have a smaller pool of options?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 11:05 PM
-2

Capable? Yes. As likely to? No. Edit: "As likely to be capable", not "As likely to actually do it"
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 11:03 PM
1

he spends less? how much less?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 11:01 PM
-2

So are you saying that a man who wants kids (possibly more than 1) is just as likely to begin dating a 30 year old as an otherwise equivalent 27, 28 or 29 year old?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 09:33 PM
-2

Unless you're a woman who wants children
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 08:52 PM
1

With a woman like you, a guy is spending a lot more than $60/week - $260/month is conservative when you include Ubers, larger dinners, weeks when you go on multiple dates, weekend travelling etc. And yes, ideally you would transition to sharing bills with your SO when/if you get into a relationship, where you will ideally continue to spend money on dates
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 08:33 PM
1

Point out the delusion: $260 invested per month ($60 times 52 weeks in a year, divided my 12 to get the monthly cost) over 30 years would net between $366,226.15 (8% return) – $536,339.26 (10% return). Skipping just 5 years of these investments (ie. dating from let's say 20-25) would reduce earnings by up to $200,000—and most people date for longer than 5 years. Dating like this for 10 years, for example, would reduce a return of $536,339.26 to just $186,747.40.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 08:21 PM
1

At least it prepares you for a relationship with that person lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 08:01 PM
1

oh, so your boyfriend has only paid for 3 dates in his entire life? Wow, he seems pretty cheap actually now that you've done the math for me. Thanks!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 08:00 PM
1

Oh wise one, do explain the math to me
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 05:11 PM
1

In order to say I'm exaggerating you'd need to understand my point. Why am I saying that $60 dollar dates is related to $500k?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 03:48 PM
1

Why not? Haven't you fallen for a guy in daylight hours/normal environments like coffee shops?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 02:58 PM
2

a good place to make that joke could be on your next coffee date
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 02:57 PM
1

that's not really the point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 02:38 PM
1

Is there nothing you like that can be bought at a coffee shop?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 02:38 PM
1

You're repeating the same misunderstanding of money instead of saying anything about what you actually bring to a relationship, it's just very telling
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 02:17 PM
1

I'm married, thanks for your concern Obviously you don't owe me anything, but I think it's interesting that over so many messages, you continue to say that men should essentially pay for your presence, ie. simp for you, which is great if you're able to find a steady stream of simps for your whole life
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 01:37 PM
1

And yet you can't seem to explain what
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 01:20 PM
1

So what are you bringing to your relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 01:07 PM
1

Again, basic logic and understanding of money tells you that it's not just about $60. For most guys in the situation of your boyfriend, they'd be throwing away approx. $500k just to simp for a "hot" girl who isn't even interested in anything serious But your man is just looking for short term fun so that's nice for you guys
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 12:30 PM
1

Is your boyfriend smart for dating you? Is he planning to put a ring on it?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 12:10 PM
1

I guess I'm just so spoiled by everyone I can't even tell. :)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 08:25 PM

No - basically every time I see Sydney mentioned online, there are people like you. But that's ok - you don't have to like something even if 95% of people like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 08:24 PM
2

I don't 100% disagree with that, but 99.9% of women who talk about dates the way you do are spoiled.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 07:31 PM
3

You're relying on personal experience, but your original claim is about "men" in general, not just your personal preferences. And your personal experience is not reflective of the data, which says that men (and women) date within their social circles.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 07:17 PM
1

Thanks, do let me know what he says - I can't wait to hear more from this wise man. Do you really not provide him any traditionally feminine value, but expect to be spoiled?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 06:56 PM
1

Some very basic logic tells you that it's not $60 for a housewife, but rather $60/week for a few years as you look for a wife, which would be about $500,000 if invested in actual investments, instead of 'invested' in 'hot' non-traditional woman. Any man who wants to spend $500,000 so he can go on dates, instead of saving that for his actual wife and children, is himself a child.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 06:45 PM
1

Are you very traditional in relationships with men to justify your perspective?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 06:32 PM
1

Gotchya. I think this is a win-win. You can avoid the dates, and they can succeed in avoiding women like yourself
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 05:13 PM
1

Obviously it does happen, I'm only disputing that it's a wide-reaching phenomenon. I have no trouble conceptualizing the idea of settling for either sex
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 05:11 PM
1

For men at least, we know that their rational brain practically precedes when horny. that's probably part of it If a man spends a year fantasizing about Sydney Sweeney, then won a contest to have sex with her (assuming she consented to be the prize), I'm sure he would do the deed and remember it all is life
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 03:05 PM
1

Fair enough. But at the end of the day, it's physically pleasurable to have sex. And if paying for it is your only option, then yeah, guys will enjoy it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:56 PM
1

I my mistake, I thought you were a woman and didn't look at your flair. I agree that men and women experience attraction differently. I think that women find attraction in a wider variety of traits (sensitivity, intelligence, generosity, etc) which i believe makes them more able to be genuinely attracted to men that might be considered 4 or 5 by other women. So while men (particularly when horny) will sleep with anyone, and may get into relationships with unattractive women out of desperation, i…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:52 PM
1

Different, yes, but different enough to mean that one is moral and the other isn't?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:43 PM

If women are attracted to a wider range of the opposite sex (i agree overall), wouldn't that bolster my point that lots of women would be somewhat attracted to what you personally consider a "4"
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:42 PM
1

Many of the best relationships begin in non-sexual environments. but I agree that drinks is good too
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:37 PM
3

A guy's enthusiasm on a first date is absolutely correlated to how hot she is, but many hand a standing strategy to do coffee regardless
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:36 PM
1

If you otherwise liked the guy, would you refuse a coffee date? 1 the fact that you wouldn't wash your hair isn't something guys would care about 2 you can get lots of different drinks and food at coffee shops
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:35 PM
1

100%, most people would, and that goes for many jobs. But just because you personally wouldn't want to do a job, or even if you can't even imagine consenting to a job, it doesn't (necessarily) mean that job shouldn't exist
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:31 PM

Sarcasm?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:17 PM

All good examples. to many sex workers, sex is just work - many don't see the significant difference, and the vast majority would probably rather take your dick than wipe your ass
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:09 PM
3

It's more that you'd include pics of nice traveling destinations and other indirect markers of wealth and more importantly, a willingness to spend
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 02:07 PM
1

Is it obvious on your dating profiles?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:57 PM

Have you gotten a massage? it's not like an RMT would want to touch your body if you weren't paying
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:55 PM

I do partly agree, insofar as women's standards (appropriately) lowering gradually over time as they become more desperate for a partner. But it doesn't mean there's an epidemic of women actually thinking their partner is ugly. he just isn't as attractive as she would want if she could choose any man she wanted (which is the same for men, obviously - virtually nobody gets exactly what they picture wanting, except that guy whose now dating Sydney Sweeney)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:54 PM

Oh sorry, didn't realize you had mind powers lol
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:39 PM

Attraction isn't as black and white as you're painting it. there are many ways to appear masculine or feminine, and many things that can turn someone on
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:37 PM

Pretty obvious. Firstly we're talking about guys who are largely below average in looks and charm, so not great candidates for the job Plus, the whole point is that they can dictate who they have sex with and how, unlike in their real life
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:32 PM

Can you really know what is it's like to be repulsive? or to have a man's biological drives?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 01:27 PM
1

It's not a decision that is made rationally. it's done usually out of desperation, sometimes ignorance. If you know how to find a healthy relationship, there's no reason to simp
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 11:34 AM

They will carry the bias, sure, but they have much less power/time and have to make more sacrifices. If you're on dating apps, then yeah, she'll probably choose one of the other 1000 men on offer who aren't virgins - but if you meet her through friends, religious community etc. - you'll have plenty of time to sell her before that even comes up
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:39 PM

For school uniforms yeah. WTH is up with the skirt length? For adults, it's probably better for individuals to be in a community where everyone is more modest overall.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:35 PM

Get all new friends and enter as many new situations as possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:33 PM

should've had a more mid woman to deliver that message
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:32 PM

That's unlikely. As you begin dating/pursuing older women, they will care about different things and altogether, many will have lower standards as biology forces them to settle down
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:30 PM

Who are you lying to? Hopefully not any girls you're trying to sleep with. If it's to your friends - they'll stop asking soon as they become adults (unless you continue to hang out with really bro-y type of guys that never grow up)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:29 PM

sex isn't everything
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:27 PM

Keep running every morning at that exact time. If she continues to run like that, you're in
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 08:27 PM

How many good men do you think are getting overlooked for penis size??
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 07:29 PM

it's not "using" someone unless it's manipulative and non-reciprocal
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 12:29 AM

I think you're mixing metaphors at the point where you're talking about eating their food - the food is a metaphor for sex, so that would just mean having sex with the girl. Guys often give in other ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 12:25 AM
1

but that's not as fun
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 12:24 AM

In reality we're talking about simps so that's why. if it was a normal guy, he'd either say something or abandon the friendship

Masculine energy? Most women prefer gay men lol Advice? yeah, all friends give each other advice Pay for her? no. you're describing a dumb guy who is being led on, not a typical friendship
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 02:54 PM
3

How horny have you been for a friend and for how long?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 02:52 PM
4

Very interesting. can you tell me more? does this feeling come up all the time or just in situations where men are like, what, insulting you? how often does that happen? Is this mostly just a fantasy type thing, or do you feel that you provide enough in a friendship for your friends to risk their physical safety in these cases?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 02:51 PM
4

100% it's very different - the point i should have been clearer on with the analogy is not that you'd expect them to give you their food, but that you'd have trouble focusing on the merits of the friendship
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 02:04 PM
12

It's a subjective thing naturally, but if you're doing stereotptically male labor and the relationship is imbalanced in terms of general give and take, it will of course feel like a relationship without benefits. Like if a girl is providing constant emotional support and cooking for a guy who otherwise isn't being a great friend
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 01:57 PM
4

If you were starving and all of your friends were holding onto buckets of general tso's chicken around their necks, refusing you any, you might have trouble appreciating their friendship too

what did you say
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 09:04 PM
1

Nor did I say that you hide anything, nor that you said only Chads succeed. I'm just saying that you yourself give off the impression that you are bad at dating in your comments, and so I took you at your (implied) word. I'm just trusting what you're giving off is reflective of reality, that's all. I've got no issue with femboys, they're cool with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 06:06 PM
2

I quoted your name to indicate who I was talking about, as you were involved in the comment thread. You are the one who is making it obvious, by your words, that you are not good at dating (be it by your actions or other immutable factors) - being depressed, noting that only "chads" succeed; these clearly signify that you are not successful in dating. Nothing to do with being a femboy, though obviously, most women are not looking for a femboy - so it's possible that is part of your problem. Nobo…

It's confusing because your argument wasn't clearly stated originally, which is fine Screening for wealth is not the same as assuming people who don't do therapy are poor - you're confusing these two similar but opposite ideas. As an analogy, if I'm a basketball recruiter and have the opportunity to go to an area with a taller population (knowing nothing else about the different populations), of course I would go to that area. This does not mean that I am assuming that everyone outside this popu…

What's stopping you? How would you start?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 03:32 PM

People do change, but people are also informed by their past - and selecting a partner is always a game of probability - you can never know for sure how your partner will act in the future, so you have to use whatever clues you are given, including whether they have a hoe-ish past
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 03:31 PM
0

win-win
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 03:30 PM
1

Exactly. Being in therapy or going to the gym is more of a signal rather than an actual quality someone is looking for. It's not enough to make you want to date someone
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 03:12 PM
1

The argument you seemed to communicate was that screening for any factors other than those included in "personhood" = trashy Are you saying that it's ok to screen for factors outside of who someone is as a person or their values?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 03:09 PM
3

They must have been doing something right - probably something that "Icyfemboy" isn't doing
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 03:04 PM
-2

Comparison is the thief of joy
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 11:21 AM
1

I'm making the point that there are a multitude of factors you can screen for in dating outside just whether a person is "good" - there are also factors of attractiveness, compatibility, convenience, and much more. And there are ways to screen that are 'hard' or 'soft' - like saying you absolutely won't date someone of another religion is a 'hard' screen but not all screens are so black/white. others are more subtle
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 11:20 AM
3

Oh, nice!
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 02:08 AM
2

So when you date, the *only* criteria you have is whether the other person is a good person? You don't select for a specific gender, location, ideology, etc.?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 02:07 AM
9

Are you seriously assuming that your personal friend group is a reflection on society at large? Just get some new friends or literally say "Hey I'd love to just hang out with you guys and no partners"
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 02:04 AM
2

it's trashy to screen for a partner who has higher wealth? Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 01:48 AM
1

Would you rather date an extremely hot girl whose thin and goes to the gym, or an overweight girl who goes to the gym?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 01:45 AM
7

yea it's very obvious if you have some empathy Men want a woman who goes to the gym - but that's because they're picturing a hot thin blonde on the treadmill. But if the girl is a gym rat because she's overweight and trying to lose it, they suddenly lose interest. Same thing - the underlying cause of the activity is more important, clearly
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 01:44 AM
2

all the better, since screening for men in therapy also screens against poor men who can't afford it

Hasan also has been caught before training a dog with a very inappropriate amount of force.

fair question, it's not like I have an objective source on the matter. It's my personal experience and understanding that women who say therapy is a green flag are specifically thinking about a man who is in therapy to better them self specifically re: empathy and communication - but that does not need to include men who are in therapy for severe mental illness - and why would it? Think about this: a man can say he likes a woman who goes to the gym - but he's obviously thinking of a fit girl who…

So in your opinion, it's good dog-care to force a dog into a stationary position with a shock collar and with anger for 4 hours at a time because it has bad joints?

it's a shock collar (if it isn't, he'd just say what model it is) even if it's a vibration collar, it made the dog yelp - why is he forcing a dog to lie still, in the camera frame, for 4 hours+ at a time, and forcing it to stay there, and getting visibly mad when it wants to get up for 1 second (maybe to drink water??)

Depending on how hard they press, you should treat it like a job interview at that point, and turn possible red flags into green ones with a little (truthful) storytelling: You can say "we had communication problems, I definitely had a lot to learn - for example, I've lately been way better with XYZ, so I really appreciate the therapy and have come a long way."

How is it a double standard? Women don't say "I will date any man who goes to therapy", so there is no double standard if they choose to date only certain men who are in therapy, based on other factors. It's like saying men have a double standard because they want skinny women, but they won't date a skinny woman who is otherwise unattractive, promiscuous, etc.

At what point in dating are you revealing that you have/used to have anger issues? If it's while you're on the apps, that's probably way too early. When women say that about therapy, it's because they want a man who understands his own emotions, has some control over them, and can communicate with empathy. Your past of anger issues hints at the exact opposite.

Yeah I get that. Again to be fair to men - seeing attractive women can sometimes feel like walking through a grocery store when you haven't eaten in days. But still, there's not justification for actually staring. Definitely agree that a few glances is ok in the right context especially if you're trying to see if the woman might also be looking back at you (as a way to feel out if approaching might be welcomed). It can be tricky to feel a situation out from across the room lol

I mean, it's obvious by their general ideas, that they are mad at the modern woman, and want a "traditional woman" - so you can tell by how they define a "traditional woman" exactly what they want/claim they need from women: sex, home-cooked food, child care, etc. Not really rocket science.

To be fair to men, it is not always obvious when a woman has dressed purposely to be sexy vs. when they've dressed more in the middle in terms of revealing outfits/tight clothes etc. - it's often on the line. When you say "admire", do you mean like a passing glance, or more extended admiration?

(virtually) all women enjoy attention *in the right circumstances*. This generally means that they won't like it expressed outwardly by a stranger, but will enjoy it, when done sensitively, by their romantic partner or prospective romantic partners.

No, they don't think it's going to solve anything, it's just a simple reaction to a massive change in the risk/reward ratio when it comes to approaching in public: The downside of approaching a woman in public has gone from just rejection (which can already be quite intimidating) to 1. rejection, 2. being seen as a creep or worse and 3. making women feel harassed.

Everyone takes in cultural ideas and bases their actions on those, especially regarding dating. The downside of approaching a woman in public has gone from just rejection (which can already be quite intimidating) to 1. rejection, 2. being seen as a creep or worse and 3. making women feel harassed. The potential downside has at least tripled - so I wouldn't blame men for responding to this, or refer to it as "baggage". Any population would respond to such a change in risk/reward ratio

the Ferrari would be in the drive at least, and your friends would at least think you drive it. They'd see it outside the places where you go and think you drove it there.

Mostly yes, desperation is obvious - but it's often not obvious that the desperation is just for sex, rather than for a relationship+sex. Which is enough for lots of women

Most guys aren't actively thinking about how they're deceiving the woman - they just aren't thinking the relationship/commitment through. So they don't think about it being a charade, even when it is - making it easy to "keep up"

Paying sex will absolutely not teach you as much as a real relationship. Maybe it'd teach you 10% if you're lucky, plus probably a bunch of negative learnings
