TONS of people are still in denial about it unfortunately...

Denial.

The fact that I was circumcised as a baby, and that there was no law preventing people from doing that to me, and also the widespread pressure from family members to make it happen without seeing how fucked up it is. After looking into that I came across /r/mensrights and started reading up about other issues that affect men.

I didn't assure anyone that they are 100% legitimate. It is up to the individual to make their own judgement before they give them money, but checking in once in a while is free and harmless.

As far as we know, Foregen is legit because it received 501(c)(3) non profit status last May. People still question it though, and I personally just check for updates because that cannot hurt. Feel free to join us over at /r/intactivists for anti-circumcision news, which includes updates on stem cell research. Best of luck.

It says they aren't any of those, so it must be true.

Men should be able to make decisions about their own bodies. This is a men's rights issue.

You can ignore your baptism, but ignoring your circumcision doesn't make your foreskin come back.

the procedure becomes much more difficult and is much more likely to have complications later in life. Like them realizing cutting off a sensitive part of their penis is not such a marvelous idea after all?
/r/MensRights07/01/13 11:28 PM

I will shape mine, because I am programmer and creator and a sociopath. Nevermind circumcision, your potential children have far more to worry about than a lack of foreskin.
/r/MensRights21/12/12 11:39 PM

Children are not your dolls and playthings. They are humans and it is your job to guard and nurture them, not customize them like an accessory.

Personally, I think circumcision is done by mothers as an act of deliberate disrespect and power over the male body. My mother had no real say in my circumcision. Both my grandfathers and my father forced it upon me. If anything she was on the fence about it.

Circumcision is what got me involved in men's rights as well. I was looking to see if there were any intactivist subreddits and I found /r/mensrights and /r/intactivists
/r/MensRights14/11/12 01:50 PM

Yes. Unborn male privilege: Price: 1 Foreskin Disclaimer: privilege not guaranteed
/r/MensRights25/10/12 12:54 PM

I also think it is a power thing. Women like being able to put their mark on their son's future sex life. I'm going to disagree because it was my father and both my grandfathers who adamantly wanted me to be mutilated, my mother had no real say in it. I am not Jewish or Muslim either. It is a power thing, but I think it is with parents exerting power over their children, not a feminist conspiracy.

Usually circumcision bans are for minors so that consenting adults can execute 'my dick, my rules'. If I recall correctly the ban they had in Germany was for minors, but adults can cut off whatever they want.

Honestly you could fight it but they're still going to be biased if they even listed it like that in the first place and hire a woman over you despite hers or your credentials.
/r/MensRights05/07/12 01:34 PM

Heaven forbid the child himself decides whether he wants to even be involved in the religion or not. (Speaking about Jewish Bris particularly since the Jews are mad. I believe circumcision should only be done on consenting adults period.) I don't understand why this ritual has to be done on an infant. Mormons can't have multiple wives anymore, what's so terrible about being circumcised when you're an adult?

/r/MensRights18/06/12 02:06 PM

It is fine if you're glad you are, just don't expect everyone to feel the same way and if you have a son let him decide if he wants to be or not when he is an adult.

What is lost due to circumcision. Key parts to read about are the Meissner's Corpuscles and the Frenulum. He should read that list. Circumcision is genital mutilation. By definition of the term mutilation, circumcised individuals are being deprived an important part of the genitals.
/r/MensRights01/04/12 08:57 PM

It's not even that weird here anymore. We're finally coming around to the idea that penises should stay the way they are.
/r/MensRights01/04/12 08:54 PM

It was clear. He/she posted a red herring.
/r/MensRights01/04/12 08:51 PM

It seems like he's still open to reason if he's taken the red pill on circumcision and understood what he lost. He needs to read more about it and I'm sure he'll eventually come around. I'd suggest giving him some reading material from The Whole Network, ERIC, and most importantly since religion seems to be an issue: Jews Against Circumcision.

All these experiences and the OPs pastebin story make me feel physically sick just reading them. We need to start doing whatever it takes to change this in our society.

If you go to the Huggies Facebook page's wall, there is a few recent comments from both men and women saying to suck it up and deal with it because it wasn't a big deal. Was the commercial really that offensive? I haven't seen it, so I can't really be a judge. I can say though that I am really not a fan of the whole 'dopey dad/husband who can't do anything right' stereotype in advertising.

Thanks for the response, I've seen the "manhating ultra lesbian" stereotypes, but for some reason that thought didn't occur to me. It is a shame that it has to be that way though.

gay men and gay women, in general, fucking hate each other, at least in North America. Why is that? I can't say I know that much about the gay community but it seems like they'd stick together because of people discriminating against them because of their sexuality.
/r/MensRights03/03/12 11:12 AM

I'm curious as well. Is it from just a dating perspective? Because if a group of my friends went out and not everyone was gay it'd be a shame to have to go somewhere else or leave them behind.

So under that logic, if the law that bans FGM is done away with, then it is okay to slice up baby vaginas again? It must be, since the only thing dictating your morals are laws apparently. Children are not toys for people to customize and modify parts. They are humans as well.

If growing up without it was perfectly normal we wouldn't fucking have it in the first place.

Glad you're okay with it. Others aren't though. (example: /r/intactivists in the shoutout to the right) Key erogenous parts are lost like the Frenar Ridged Band. So if it feels damn good now, imagine it feeling even better

And those newborns are Americans for being born here. Also They will grow up and most likely opt not to circumcise their children. Nice troll account though, I bet you just love the fact circumcision is going out of style world wide huh?

With a 32% circumcision rate in 2009, when those boys reach high school and start being sexually active, that age group will pretty much be the start in turning the tables.

California now has one of the lowest circumcision rates in the country at 22% in 2010. I'm sorry you're afraid of foreskin but most people are fine with how a penis is supposed to look.

Yeah, us Americans unfortunately didn't get the memo that circumcision is bullshit until 2009 where circumcision rates dropped to 32%

Why should it be sarcastic? It's the anatomical equivalent. If she feels men should have theirs removed why doesn't she try it out first? I bet she'd change her mind quickly.

It is not required. Change is a part of life, and other traditions have changed as well, and should continue to change.

My problem is that I want everything I'm supposed to have down there? How is that hard to understand? See amex3223's chart here.
/r/MensRights29/11/11 07:53 PM

Glad it works out for you. I'm not being sarcastic either. We are different people and what may work out for you may not work out for me. If I was left alone and had my foreskin today there would be no way I'd cut it off. I should have been given the right and the chance to research it on my own and see if I wanted it done, and not just let someone else do it where I get no say in it.

Yet another double standard I guess. I suppose it could be tossed onto the mountainous pile of double standards we see get posted here? Having a Men's Only Tournament would most likely cause a shitstorm. My friend who is really into LoL explained this fiasco to me and it sounds like men were being used as pawns to secretly play in the tournament to make the women look more skilled. It has nothing to do with legal rights but this kind of behavior in a tournament shouldn't be acceptable. edit: I'm…

I'm cut and I don't like mine. I hope for a day where every male can choose to cut his own dick, not someone else calling the shots for him as a baby. They can cut the whole thing off if they want to, just as long as it was THEIR decision, not someone else's.
/r/MensRights20/11/11 10:28 PM

Circumcision rates are dropping, and in 2009 it was only at 32% in the United States. People are waking up to genital mutilation, not "accepting it".

Small chance we can get it sure, and we have to worry about prostate cancer which is more common than breast cancer. Women don't even have prostate glands so they don't have to worry about a small chance of that. Whoever downvoted me: deal with it, it's true. Women chant 1 in 8, but men should chant 1 in 6.

I am angry because I have to live (until there is some kind of medical breakthrough) it for the rest of my life. It is MY penis, not my parents' penis, not the doctor's penis. No one had my fucking permission to remove part of it.

If you masturbate be sure to flush any fapkins you leave around. You don't want her to make another baby and have it actually be yours this time. To whoever downvoted me: Sperm can live up to 5 days after ejaculation. It is a legitimate concern, since he stuck his dick in crazy and she is still around.

I'm not going to advocate incest, but consenting legal adults have the right to have sex with each other if they want to. I don't care about other people having sex with their family members, I have my own life to worry about.

Hopefully stem cell research will be more developed by the time this poor kid matures into a young man and can fix this atrocity that was done to him.

Exactly. Fuck everything about circumcision.
/r/MensRights28/08/11 10:27 AM

Whether it makes it feel better or not, they can't decide that as infants, and should be left intact to make the call themselves as adults.

Well, in my personal experience it was "MR." because he demanded I be 'like everyone else so I don't get laughed at in the locker room' and my mom trusted his opinion. If one doesn't stick up for him then they are both responsible. Edit: Also I never even had to get naked in the locker room while I was in school. It was all in vain. Also my mom generally supports the practice as well, so I was fucked from day 1.

"Also, how do you know that sex is better if you are uncircumcised? There is no one in the world who would be able to accurately compare the two sensations. It's all speculation, and again, it goes back to the sexual satisfaction of an infant" There are TONS of men who have said their sexual pleasure has diminished after they were circumcised. Women who are catty cunts about preferring cut men are the same as stuck up superficial assholes who want women to cut their 'beef/ham curtains' off via labiaplasty. Edit: I've hardly read/heard anyone say "ew girls should cut that shit off!" yet tons of ignorant bitches and pricks are wanting men to remove the biological equivalent. Makes me mad.

Although it is mutilation, if you have a "botched" one (even though I think the whole procedure is a botched one and just about every circumcision is unnecessary unless it is a rare extreme case) imagine the psychological effects one would have having a very limited sex life, and the sense of inadequacy said individual might develop.

It could be on a subconscious level. They could assume more immediate problems in their life are the cause of feeling that way, but if it is a recurring state of mind it could be the circumcision that did that. Having that amount of pain as a baby is bound to have long term psychological effects.
/r/MensRights01/08/11 08:53 AM

I feel exactly the same way. Also on top of that I feel like I have to be self conscious about choosing sexual partners outside of the USA because I can only imagine its like the opposite side of the coin with women in the USA who think intact penises are gross.

I'm sure its in the back of mens' minds more than you think. I'm sure that with them feeling hopeless and helpless and empty at times in their life they cannot explain why and don't put 2 and 2 together.

how about people teach their kids some damn responsibility/standards so they don't go around having sex with questionable people instead of mutilating their penis

I had a dumbed down experience with my girlfriend like this. When we started dating we agreed that until we were financially ready to support kids we wouldn't have them and that she would get an abortion if birth control failed.
