She travelled (drove?) with the kids to the lake with the attack in mind... You lock a bunch of people in a cement box, all they do is get at each other’s throats, then leave more prone to violence than they were before. And any peace of mind you get as a victim, having your offender locked away, has a time limit on it anyways. Like many people I can’t think of many better options to suggest, but I can say firsthand the system is broken. A suicide happened while I was in there too.
