So you never in your life have you read a piece of fiction and gained something from it ? Like learning anything, a reflection, an insight ? Sounds like a sad and narrow minded life. Oh I can. In the English language, in some circumstances there are common phrases or nuances that are expressed that are contradictory to proper grammatical dictation.
