Are you implying that feminists do listen to well mannered and reasoned arguments? I'm implying that we will never be taken serious if we can't even get our points across in a well mannered way. In fact, dismissing a good argument and not taking it serious because it "could come across as condescending" is in itself utterly dysfunctional and anti-intellectual. People are emotional creatures. Generally speaking, if I can get my points across in a polite well thought-out way I think people are mor…

Well, this is kinda what I mean. You're implying that feminists don't listen to well mannered and reasoned arguments. So what do you think feminists think of us when all we do is comment in sarcasm, anger and bias. They'll just think we're a bunch of angry misogynists who just want to lash out against feminism. You made a good point with your example but I think you won't be taken serious by feminists because the way you worded it could come across as condescending.

I agree, If we want to be taken serious we should interact in a well mannered way. I'm getting tired of the stereotype feminism mocking and sarcastic patriarchy comments.

Every med student in The Netherlands knows that it's a part of the training. These girls want a special pass because they don't want to do it. I think that's what the commotion is about. But yeah, It's a matter of interpretation since we don't know if they have other motives.

It's about empathy. When someone brushes your teeth, you know how it feels and what is pleasant and unpleasent. Students are getting examined so they can feel how the patient might feel in certain situations. I think It's a great way to learn how to properly take care of the patient.

In the Netherlands, medical students have to examine other students for practice. The 2 girls in this article didn't want to be examined by male students (while still wearing underwear and a bra).

Why not? I don't see a problem with 2 adults both working, both providing for their kids, both taking care of their kids.

The "friend zone" has nothing to do with mens rights and it's not a populair topic here in my experience. We're not a bunch of butthurt men that are pissed because someone rejected us. There are far more important topics being discussed in this sub.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
