Be careful commenting on anything simplecosine posts as, unlike a true support organization, simplecousine may take what you write - even if you delete it - and post it in another subreddit in an attempt to invalidate or chastise you. Yours truly, former supporter of this subreddit.

Classic: When a woman wants an abortion, that's normal and exercising pro-choice rights. When a man doesn't want a baby, he's a scumbag and must, in some areas, pay child support even if he did not agree to it.

It's funny, but much of reddit says this subreddit is full of whiny asshole men. I am a firm believer that gender imbalances, especially in legal cases and custodial battles is a major problem that I will continue fighting with hopes of adjusting the social norm. That said, by devaluing our debate and efforts through ad hominem discussion tactics you are fueling the stereotype of the men's rights movement. To ignore the fact that mothers are at times the deadbeat parent in need of arresting is a…

Your definition and mine are different. As a journalist who has written on this subject, I can tell you it is difficult to write without gender. The difference is, I would have looked at the gender percentages and published that. My point is valid. I don't think it justifies insullting me.

OP, you say they were going after fathers, but the article does not indicate gender. While I imagine it is mostly men getting burnt by this, the writer of this article was careful not to imply that - an implication that certainly would be sexist.

I don't know if this is a men's rights issue or a human rights issue. Welcome to America where we encourage you to buy everything you see, but you better put it in the trash nicely when you're done with it. I hope the case gets thrown out.

It reminds of when I came out to my baby boomer, ultra feminist mother as a men's rights activist. I asked her why it was okay for women to get an abortion without considering the man's feelings, but if a man doesn't want a baby he is a low-life scumbag. She told me it is because men convince women not to use a condom. WTF? My sister begged me to drop the argument with silent hand motions, so I did, but I don't see why feminists can't present more solidified evidence to back up their hypocrisy r…

I don't think ignoring this person is the answer. This allows such rumors, lies and hate to be spread. I think an effort to cite and dispute these claims in a public forum need to be made even if it is a troll. It only takes a minue.

Right. This is about a background check revealing a previous conviction. Statute of limitations apply to the time prosecutors have to press charges. For example, murderers can be convicted on their deathbed 50 years after they committed the crime because there is no limit but prosecutors only have a few years to bust you for stealing a tv. This guy lost his job likely because he never told his employer about the conviction (not that I support firing him in this rediculous case) or that employer …

Ironically, my wife struggled with dressing, changing diapers, etc. with our first one probably, in large part, due to sleep deprivation. I did everything besides breastfeed the kid for at least the first two months. I stayed up all night holding her, changing her, etc. What's annoying about this, is no one would make this joke about mothers.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
