I read we were less than 1% of the population. To be honest I don't buy into every aspect of the RP (I'm not really a 'traditionalist'. I don't want kids and I like to work for reals) but quite a few of its teachings are how I already was long before I ever knew about this. I have disagreed with my mother (I remember quite a few years ago I asked her why she got so angry and screamed at my dad. She said "Because he does things to piss me off and he never listens!" to which I said something like …

I think you're doing pretty damn good there then. We all have different body shapes and types. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to fit an 'ideal'.

Yes all that is true. And while I've come to expect cattiness from women (especially where I'm from where the majority are average- below average looking and/or overweight) I realize that guys have said those things to me because they really did think it was the right thing to say. Because you are supposed to tell a woman she is perfect no matter what or else she will break from the lack of self esteem... Those are good ideas. Most of the time I just ignore people's comments. I'm pretty non-conf…

This made me laugh for some reason not at you but at the poor voles! It's ok. They liked it. Now we are both creating positions unsupported by research. I never claimed my 'washed out' theory was anything but personal observation. Ok as long as we admit it lol! There is some book called 100 Hundred Ways For Women to Create Oxytocin on Their Own. Supposedly men can only help women with 10% of their oxytocin needs. How correct that is I'm not sure because I haven't looked into the book's research.…

They literally lose the ability to form a deep chemical bonds to their partner after enough failed attempts. I wouldn't be so quick to buy into that. The vast majority of studies on oxytocin have been done on prairie voles not people. Also abstinence only groups like to spin it like that. I found one article that states what you said and guess who it was by? A religiously backed group called "Life Matters". Oxytocin can be built AND even rebuilt. There are a number of ways to do it. Orgasm is ju…

Oh and a lot of people tend to assume that if a woman has slept with more than a couple guys then she must have only been picking the good looking asshole 'alpha males'. However, the so called 'nice guys' can also be flaky as hell. Sometimes even more so. Yeah the kind (and perhaps nerdy or not so attractive) guy shouldn't be overlooked but just because he is nice doesn't mean he is automatically going to be a good partner or that you are compatible. And mental issues seem more and more common t…

Well it all depends on you but it could be things like: I'm a good friend. I'm a good listener. I love my boyfriend and I show my boyfriend I love him. I'm a good cook. I'm funny. I'm nice.

Unfortunately not every woman out there learned (if ever) that sex doesn't equal love (or the opportunity of love) and they fell for the lies men told them too easily or got too ahead of themselves. Many didn't figure it out until after multiple failed relationships. Also, most women like sex and they aren't always obsessed with having a relationship or getting married. That still seems like a strange concept to people and it isn't all because of 'feminism'. Woman are humans too. Doesn't mean a …

I always put a good amount of effort into my appearance. Diet, exercise, supplements, skincare, makeup and hair (which I don't spend a ton of time on. I can be ready in 10-15 minutes easily. I prefer to look as natural as possible while still looking as perfect as possible haha), etc. I need to work more on my sleep but I have DSPS which is unresponsive to treatment (believe me. I've done it all) so that's another story entirely. However being that way comes with a lot of criticism. Mostly from …

""Terrifying" in this context is hyperbole." Sorry that I didn't get that from a comment online. Because you know people are so easy to read on here. Haha yes it is... That really wasn't my intention though. I just see people make up figures all the time and it's like "Really dude...really?" It gets really annoying. I've seen that. I thought I explained about these percentages. They take 'sample sizes' then make their estimates from there. But I meant for women specifically. Because believe me I…

Who's arguing? I have nothing to argue about. You were the one saying it 'terrifies' you and making assumption about people's lifestyles. So why are you terrified if you know it depends on the woman and your gf has already expressed her eagerness to stay fit? Because you don't really believe her? Or because if it doesn't work out as you get older you feel they'll be less attractive women available to you? I was simply questioning where you got that 70% figure from. I mean I see people just make …

Waist to hip and waist to height ratio are a better indicator than BMI. Waist to hip ratio shouldn't be higher than 0.80 and waist to height shouldn't be more than half your height. For example I have a waist to hip ratio of 0.72 and a waist to height ratio of 41.43% which puts me in the slim category.

It all depends on the woman. I know plenty of women in their 20's, 30's and 40's who are very fit. Hot yoga is pretty popular these days. Also there are women who just don't gain weight very easily. Like I have to eat a fair amount and do weight training so I don't look like I'm anorexic.

That still doesn't mean that 70% of women over 30 are overweight. That isn't exactly how statistics work. They often just poll a certain amount of people then estimate from there. For example to get the current obesity statistic for adults over 20 (30.4%) the CDC polled 100,000 people. But statistics aren't facts. Just a small representation and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Yeah but to be realistic you have to know that expecting sex whenever you want it isn't always reasonable. Especially if it's like 10 times a day lmao. Never mind being run down and tired from work, kids (btw if she just had a baby her vagina needs some time to heal itself) and housework (because most women today are working, many full time, yet are still doing the majority of the household work and child rearing). Sometimes women just can't have sex for various physical female reasons (not just…

Where are you meeting these women? The city? That would explain it a bit... I would never ditch a man just because he was working class and most of my female friends wouldn't either. A hard working man has character. Go find yourself a country gal! Btw that was a joke. It all depends on the person. Not where they are from. Women wanting to retire at 25 are just being ridiculous and unrealistic. I would like to retire at a reasonable age where I am still fairly active IF I can. Not because I want…

Interesting points though you know sometimes waiting even months to sleep with someone doesn't matter. Even if he said really liked you, wanted a relationship and wasn't seeing anyone else. Even if they said they were in love with you. Their end goal was just to bed you. Some men can and will keep a lie going for as long as they need. And yeah sometimes it happens that he did like the girl and wasn't seeing other people but soon after they had sex he realized it wasn't working out. The fact that…

Make a list of the things you're good at and ways that you enlighten other people's lives. Even the little things. Then make a list of things you need to work on. Not physical things that you can't change. Ask your bf, friends and family for help on these lists if you need it. Then focus on doing what you need to do to better yourself while still reminding yourself of your good qualities (because you want to be balanced. Not totally down on yourself but also not on a high horse). If you put your…

Women don't just automatically get fat once they hit a certain age. Their metabolism may slow down a bit (though for some women it never does) but it also depends on how they maintain themselves. 70% is a gross over-generalization. If your gf is really serious about keeping fit she will. I wouldn't worry too much.

I wouldn't encourage other women to have one night stands but then again I wouldn't go around lecturing them either. However, if someone asked for my opinion I would give it without making it seem like I'm forcing anything on them. But I don't think it matters as much what we did or didn't do but whether or not we were able to learn and grow from our experiences. Some people didn't have the luxury of having an upbringing like yours. Some people were missing very valuable things in their lives, o…

Maybe stop obsessing so much over your 'SMV' (I can see the kid thing because a lot of people aren't into single parents, even though it's not the hugest deal in the deal, but if a man in the appropriate age group doesn't think you are worthy just because you are 30 that is ridiculous. If you are attractive then you don't just stop being hot once you turn 30 unless you haven't taken care of yourself) and how feminine your independence makes you (it's all a mindset) and just focus work on what yo…

I get that. I've never done that either. If I leave it's because the relationship isn't working out. Not because I meet someone else. And when I'm out of a relationship the last thing I want is another one. Usually takes me at least a year before I'm ready to even try again. Being around people drains my energy and relationships take a lot of work so it's even worse. I know that sounds like I don't like people or relationships. Not true. I just feel that I need to put more effort into them becau…

Thanks for the response. I get what you are saying. I've always preferred guys at least a bit smarter than myself. When I've dated guys who were less intelligent I found myself not only getting bored too easily but not being able to take them seriously. On the flip side some of the more intelligent guys have had a superiority complex that I didn't like. I don't really like to date guys more attractive though (smarter and with a better job is fine) because I'm worried that he'll be more likely to…

I have four older sisters. My own oldest sisters are 10 and 13 years older so they moved out when I was still fairly young. My other sister is 18 months older so I grew up with her. She was very much a tom boy and would beat me up so I'm not sure if that's the typical 'female' experience. Currently most of my friends are males because they are more into nerdy stuff like playing video games and board games. I do have a couple female friends but I'm very selective. I've been back stabbed a lot by …

I tend to completely ignore other men when I'm in a relationship. I even have girl friends pointing out other guys they see and I'm like "Huh what guy?" When I'm very UNHAPPY though I tend to look more. That is usually a clear signal to me that things are not working out and we either need to work on things or end it. I think for me my 'hypergamy' would be more personality based than superficial things. I've never gone from guy to guy like some people seem to make it out to be. I like to be alon…

I think the assumption that just because he is a man he will automatically think more rationally at all times is wrong. I've dated a few men who I was definitely more rational than. Men get emotional too. They are not beyond letting their emotions control them at times. And people actually have a mix of male/female brains. The 'male' brain is the systemiser while 'female' brain is the empathiser. Most men tend to be more on the systemiser side while women more on the empathiser side. But everyon…

Yes I always pay attention to that. And especially how a guy treats those less fortunate than himself. i.e: Homeless people. If he's rude to them then it's a definite no go.

Yeah I get that. I guess what I meant was more along the lines of him being accountable for his actions/ words when they affect you in a negative way. And I don't mean you overreacting and being too emotional to silly things but he actually does or say something hurtful. Also about keeping promises, plans, etc. Being loyal, trustworthy, committed and so forth. If he promises you these things but then does something to show a lack in those areas. Also what if you are both working and sharing in t…

Oh and btw this isn't me trying to be all "Boo hoo". I'm just trying to gain a better understanding. To give a bit of insight onto me, I'm an INFJ with Aspergers who did not have your 'typical' upbringing. But I've always had pretty high principles and live by the rule that I cannot wish for, want, or let alone expect anything from anyone if I'm unable or unwilling to give it myself. i.e I don't want a loyal partner because I think he owes it to me. I want one because I am one. p.s on my phone. …

I think I might be one of the odd chicks that hates shoe shopping. I'm a size 10 AAA width with a very high arch and weak ankles which roll easily (so heels are tough plus why would I want to wear heels at my height). It seriously brings up some childhood trauma type stuff for me lol jk (Well sort of. Having a very impatient mother wasn't fun). Last time I went looking for shoes it comprised of me going to about 5 different stores and spending hours trying on shoes before I found one that fit OK…

Of course you are going to have a hard time dealing. It took me YEARS to get where I am with dealing with my anger issues (from having an abusive mother, past sexual abuse, depression, and also being quite different from most people I meet and not knowing how to deal with that at times) and I'm still working on it every day. It's probably going to be a lifelong journey. I'm not the same person I was 10 year ago. A few years ago. Even a year ago. Yeah you are responsible for yourself but he can't…
