This is a great question. I have two that I learned the hard way. Giving compliments and/or doing things for others for their approval. I realize the dopamine kick I got for trying to make someone else day. It fades when they demand that from you or take it for granted. I learned to curb it from realizing it didn’t make a difference in the past. However, I still give compliments and do stuff for other people when I feel like it. I am just not dependent on the outcome.
