2	Alimony That's solid advice. The rentals in this area aren't very nice, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on the market. Funny thing is I've worked so hard over the last 19 years at this job, and haven't had any time or desire to develop any hobbies. Just work and family. Decent family vacations. 2	Alimony I've read in my state they really start considering lifetime alimony at 25 years of marriage. I'm at 22. So I'm trying to weigh that option as well. The problem in my marriage I'm sure it's common is all of a sudden the woman is unhappy. Always short and irritable with me. She is 47 so I'm convinced some of it is hormones, but I certainly can't tell her that haha. 1	Alimony Thanks for all that. Ive seen similar info according to the research I've done. My goal is to pretty much walk away with a little down payment so I can buy a home. Where we live there aren't a lot of rental options and some of the home prices are reasonable. She is one of these "doom end of the world is near" types. I'm hoping I can give her less up front and get a discount. I'm also hoping she has some pride and doesn't want to take everything she can. Wishful thinking I know.	/r/Divorce_Men	13/07/24 04:56 PM
2	Alimony That's not the answer I was hoping for. She has recently started cleaning air BNB for some extra money. She plans on going back to work in the fall when we put the kid back in school.
