It's simple, I stopped reading seriously this sub when it became apparent It's becoming an echo chamber like many others.

Yeah, I think that's a big factor: Writers who can only parrot social media platitudes. Goes for a lot of shows and films. (regardless of political orientations) I've also read somewhere a neat wording to describe this phenomenon: The writers are Interior cats. (that could be summed as the writers having a general disconnection from pretty basic realities regarding how different people think and act in their day to day lives)

It would have been better if the exemple given was directly a Logan Paul video or whatever else from him, instead of a dude who react to a single phrase of LP. Otherwise, yeah, it's pretty natural I think, for people to reconsider their views once their personal and familly situations change, for good or bad. Oftentimes, those are determining factors in making people care for some issues. Hell I think such experiences brought many people in there in the first place.

OK, I gotta recognize that it's pretty good quality for menslib stuff. I'm gonna have it saved somewhere just for the bajillions links, even tho it kinda goes everywhere. And from menslib, I know it comes from a place of "teach men to not be violent to advocate for them". But they could have found many more varied examples. Females on males, females on females, males on males.

I could also do like some do, and say that "firefighters, garbage collectors, cops and military, and that women are too egotistic to sacrifice themselves for others and that they should be thankful" But I won't cause that kinds of arguments are trivial and tribalistic. All kinds of works requires sacrifice for others, but not necessarily in the same manner, and it shouldn't be a source of misplaced pride.

Yeah, that. People should care less for what egocentric streamers have to say. The stream format is shit (can be good for other stuff tho) and doesn't incentivize intelligence and well thought out arguments, it's also very time consuming for the viewer while those streamers don't always put as much efforts into their content.

Feels like it sums up the bajillions polemics of the culture war. Mid show pop up, said mid show has woke stuff, director or cast of said show turn out to be pretentious, egocentric or virtue-signalley about the influence of his or her or their show. (My character is a model for all young girls out there/black people or whatever) Then some people get mad and polemics pop up... Then cycle begins anew, maybe I forgot some stages...

The 70% of the poor part is from a global Oxfam report, if I recall correctly.

Ah, I'm glad someone finally talk about it in this sub. Yeah, those men are not so clueless as they hoped to make the court believe, and in a weird way, doing "trial of all men" inconsciously supported their supposed cluelessness imho. (Although I can get behind the pressures by Pelicot part, and their own personal histories give many clues as to the why of their behavior) "À son insu" is very self explanatory and oddly specific sentence and it's hard to defend that you didn't knew, understood o…

The worst responses I've seen (well, not in that thread, elsewhere on TwoXchromosomes I believe) is saying that men kill themselves because of terrible things they have done. (Domestic Violence with murder suicides and outright terrorism)

True! The Afghan forces against the Talibans suffered immense casualties, and yet those people blame "Afghan men" for supposed cowardice or something... Idk how to describe it... Is it delusions? Entitlement? Westerners full of good values who obviously would have been heroic there?

Nah, Dr Manhattan never ever call him a Nazi. Owlman and the Silk specter do though, in a conversation between each others, when they ponder whether or not they should contact him. (something like that)

Yeah I gotta agree, apart from some characters saying he is "nearly a Nazi", there isn't much hints in the comic of him subscribing to a specific ideology other than his Vigilante Mindset.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
