Whenever a woman is on trial for something like murder, typically the first thing the defense lawyer will do is see if their is a way to spin it that she was the victim of an abusive man. It literally doesn’t matter if it’s true in the slightest. They are going to make that argument. It works all too often especially when the guy is dead and can’t tell his side.
