I really like the idea of something special from my hometown! I just have to think of what that is now... haha! It is also difficult because they don’t really drink (wine is usually a go-to of mine), and also I asked my boyfriend and he said something “oh don’t be silly, you don’t need to bring anything!” But I want to bring something anyway. I think I’ll go for a small batch of homemade treats and something else small that represents my hometown together.

The Kitchn — it’s a website but sometimes they put videos too. The have all these amazing “how to” guides, as well as inventive recipes. Usually everything there is healthy and focuses on things you can make pretty easily. I would definitely start with their how to guides!! Also buzzfeed tasty honestly always has a great, cute ideas for new things to try out!

I would also suggest waiting until you married to transition. For one weddings and honeymoons etc are expensive and having you both working and saving until then will really help. Also I’d say it’s just best to have the security until the knot is truly tied.

Yeah, I guess I am not dissatisfied overall, but just with this one aspect. For now... This reminds me a lot of my BF, who in the middle of night will always notice how I am sleeping. If I have woken up and can't get back to sleep (I am a bit of an insomniac) he will rub my back and ask me what is on my mind and make sure I fall back asleep. In regards to point 4, I am still unsure about how exactly to bring this up in conversation without sounding too needy/insecure - but sometime that it feels natural, I will.

I am american. Honestly these aren't values I've ever felt like I could share with any of my girl friends. I don't think these are common ideas for girls my age. But I assume more politically conservative girls have these values, in general. I am quite centrist, politically.

I am just legitimately and interested in/believe in the sexual gender dynamics that I've read about on these message boards and wanted a different perspective on this issue then I could get by googling how to increase his attraction to me or talking to my more feminist leaning female friends.
