I want women to put in the same amount of effort into dating and relationships as men do. You are not some princess entitled to entertainment and special treatment - this is a relationship and takes two of us.

It was a hell of a gut punch, I won't lie. I think part of what I learnt is to not wear the mask as often. If I had a partner that hid her, let's say, suicidal tendencies from me, and then allowed it to show after several years, I'd have a right to consider that too I think. I do not recommend SSRI's personally. A good sleep pattern, exercise, a good network of friends and family, healthy diet and some goals to work towards will do you far better in the long run. The only time SSRI's helped me w…

I'm 30. My ideal age for a partner is 24-26. Around 25 women are developed enough to be emotionally mature but will still retain her youthful looks for at least a decade.

I've had moderate-severe depression a long long time. I sought and still do seek treatment and maintain a very healthy lifestyle. I also learnt how to put on a happy mask in public exceptionally well, probably almost to a fault. My longest relationship, about 3-4 years in, I started to become a bit more comfortable taking my mask off at home with my partner. She knew I took SSRI's and saw a therapist, but I guess she started to catch on. We had a long discussion about it where I admitted it was …

You could be completely right, I'm still trying to understand this myself. But by your logic wouldn't that make them bad relationship material anyway - promiscuous sex being indicative of mental illness and therefore bad relationship material?

Does that make her bad relationship material? I'm sure some could argue strongly that yes and others that no. From my point of view I would say she's more likely to be bad relationship material, yes. The statistics are reasonably clear on this - women with a lot of casual encounters are more likely to suffer from certain mental illnesses and have failed marriages. As to why it's hard to say.

Unresolved daddy issues make for bad relationship material. Someone who has undergone therapy and personal reflection/growth doesn't really have this issues or atleast has them under control. Insecure and/or anxious attachment style (did not get enough attention and praise from dad) Emotionally unstable or immature (learnt that throwing tantrums gets what they want or cannot process negative emotion in a healthy way) Seek validation from other men in their younger years through unhealthy/uncontr…

That's ONE of the roles of marriage. The point absolutely is to love and support eachother. To form an emotional bond and live a good life together, and set an example for your children how to do this too. Jesus dude if you view marriage as just some economic exchange for rearing children I genuinely feel a bit sorry for you and any partner you might end up with. "If he had stayed it would have been using you for meaningless and purposeless sex until it was time to move on" This statement is so …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
