But ya there's an opportunity to learn to be more confident in your empathic abilities and kindness. My opinion is that the first step in this pusuit is to learn when and to whom you should be kind. Once you stop doing it to everyone, you internally start to see it more as an asset that sets you apart from others. It also teaches you discernment. You learn to discern between the people you are most compatible, you learn to see who might be able to hurt you. Being more selective with your ability…

Hm idk man. I mean likely you've fallen (to some degree) for the girl who abuses her sexuality for manipulation and control. It's just a part of being young and making mistakes. Lack of maturity. You're not gonna hear about the ones who don't think their guy is an asshole. Just the ones that are complaining. I think you are conflating toxicity with, as you said, "abundance" and spontaneity. Those are red pill words that stray away from the reality of what we're talking about. Particularly "abund…

I've been lucky to find a therapist like this too.

Thank the gods for you and this post. I've got narc mother and weakling, no sense of his own identity father. Late 20s and i think Im finally moving into healthy boundaries with women (and in general in my relationships) and an honest view of my parents. I haven't cut them out. Im an only child so i think this has something to do with it. I also think that relative to most of the examples out there of this type of parent child dynamic, my situation was less maybe extreme. I've just took my first…

That ain't OP. But what's interesting is that redpill does preach over and over that you should be working on yourself. Focus on yourself. A man does not stray away from his mission. Etc. They don't have good ideas on what this really looks like, in most cases. It's basically work out and create a businees, learn to be stoic. But it is a good message. And you can see some people in there not fully accepting the narrowness of the prescriptions and sorta provide their own spin off the dogma. Thing…

It's important to me that when a door is opened this community takes advantage. I also sense a lot of hypocrisy in this community. I like to call it out. That's me being critical. I think we can do better.

It's certainly your right to say what you want to say. But what are you doing here then? What's your purpose in exredpill?

Isn't this exredpill? How'd people change? What is marketing exactly? A name for a feature of human being's capacity for being influenced? What's behind that? That we are social, that we rely on others for information, that this implies a level of trust, that this implies a level of dependence on each other, that in effect WE influence other people? Does marketing attack the people it wants to influence? No, generally not. Are you doing the same thing redpill and scientology does by labeling the…

How exactly is this a useful comment? The guy is coming here saying "I want to be exredpill" and you're gonna respond like that? And you're getting upvotes? What's going on in this place

It's not red or blue or black or purple homie. Its not BLM or feminists or white supremacists or chauvinists or whatever. These are all just categories. Don't latch on. Don't view others as being latched on. Surely some are truly latched on but you don't want to be around those people. If you're stuck in this categorical thinking, any sniff of one group or another causes you to discard any possible complexity. It's not helpful for your development to do this with any topic you intend to understa…

Hell - in some of my unhealthier days i tried to get a couple women to lose their attraction to me (cuz i was scared probably) by being sorta ridiculous. Acting a fool around them, getting wild, being a bit obnoxious, uncaring, whatever. I was never explicitly rude to them, could never get myself to really do it. But all it did was make them want me more! Now, that could totally be because they were able to see past all that and my better qualities. Or it could be because they liked that i cause…

You might've been downvoted but forreal probably 90% of the women in my historic social circles like this type of behavior (to some degree). This of course says a lot about where i grew up, schools i went to, who i chose to be around, the fact that i played a lot of sports, etc. The ones that really valued this type of behavior from men to a greater extent were the ones that also slept around a lot and were more or less not totally trustworthy (but were kind of a lot of fun in big group settings…

I've been in similar spots as yourself. I feel for ya. Random thoughts I had that may or may not have traction with you. If there are things about our society that favor men or aren't great for women, it doesnt onnly affect one sex or the other. We still all live in it. But not everyone is bad. It's tougher when you're young. I sometimes also think women are more likely to be vicious with emotions. Women are allowed to be the emotional ones. They get to play around in there more. They might know…

If it's important for you to engage with redpillers, you may want to reflect on your true intentions and what that says about you currently. There might be a better outlet or action to serve your internal purpose.

Hold up now. This post is functionally exactly the same as those "red pill realization" moments they talk about. Frustration towards other sex, find an overly simplified way to "explain" or categorize all the failures (which really doesn't explain ALL of them just enough for it to be good enough for us to feel better, and "above it". It's certainly possible that many of these men read redpill. It's much more likely you are dealing with immature men, or simply men incongruent with your desires. B…

Most definitely. The individual seems to get hurt by someone other than themselves but they can't accept that the person or couple of people would do it (because they trusted them) so instead of accepting the humanity of it all (that they are hurt and that others are flawed and can hurt) they seek an answer in the collective. So this takes the form of ideologies, particularly ideologies that claim to be rising up the individual. In reality, they're creating a fictitious character that everyone o…

Hey, Idk what it is exactly but reading this made me feel very hopeful inside. So thank you. My gut tells me there's some hope here for him (and all of us, damn). At the very least, you seem very mature and have done a ton of self reflection. Being able to see past your family's traditions and know which parts of that you truly value - that's next level stuff. Id bet you can follow your instincts on this one and get you to the right place. However it turns out, i hope there's growth and healing …

I might add a note about encouraging his healthy masculine qualities. This might sound a bit RP-ish in a way. But your boundaries you set can allow yourself to accept healthy masculinity and not the unhealthy parts. I wish he'd have an open mind to reading the book: King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine. But he seems far from being there. Even suggesting that he find a male therapist he likes could be a solution. I've had both male and female. And w…

I think a lot of people have most of this covered. Important things to me. He's not in a good spot. He might come out of it later. It's a coping mechanism. But you need to take care of yourself. There might not be a way for him to learn except through you doing what's best for yourself. Sitting here trying to find a solution, or way to break through, could possibly be empathizing hard with him about his mother and sister (but not about the only fans and comments about women in general, probably …

It's totally fine to not agree with them. Let me pick on something you say though. You say their beliefs "polarize things more than it is now". In order for their to be polarity, there must be poles. Usually we understand this to mean to poles, or two oppsites, and I believe that is how you are using the term here. It's my impression, and I don't mean this as an attack just providing something I think might be useful, that you might be identifying with the other pole in this scenario, a bit too …

Certainly, there is a lot of emotion in that comment. And it, of course, should be respected for what that is, a person expressing themself about something that matters to them. That's important. However, it's hard for me to find a solution for the situation we're all here discussing when this is the dialogue that occurs. What that message was is retaliation. It's comparisons. It's saying you did this so I get to do it too. While its definitely human and definitely understandable to feel that wa…

Your columns are showing the duality of things. Not masculine and feminine. It's notable that the yin and yang both contain each other. That's the important part. A man may be mostly masculine but he does contain the feminine. A man may be more conscious (light) of his masculinity and unconscious (dark) of his femininity.

Check out Carl Jung. He speaks to the psychological significance of the Christian story and many other mythologies. The masculine and feminine that resides within all of us. His work can even help us make sense of the existence of RP and what is affecting such individuals. It's all really kind of mind blowing once you dive into his work far enough.
