"Unhinged rage" describes only one of us here. I'm sure everyone can understand you blowing up at me about your very, very real wife with her very, very important measurements. I'd say "have a nice day" or something, but that seems to be like chum to a shark.

So, why did you start frothing at the mouth when I said she didn't have DD breasts NATURALLY at her weight? And why are you still being an ass about it now? Edit: Or are you going to quadruple down and start screaming that your wife could have had DD breasts at that weight, but you forgot to mention that she just happened to have "cohesive gel implants"?

Oooooh, I see. So she is a tiny girl with huge fake boobs. You didn't exactly disagree when I said there was no way she had a DD cup NATURALLY at her weight. You even insisted she was just skinny but "curvy". Heh. So... I was right, apparently. Luckily I read your later post about her boobs. I was getting a bit concerned that maybe you should seek testing for schizophrenia, what with the pretend stats and all. You seem like a lovely person, btw. I'm sure your wife couldn't be more pleased that y…

I wasn't suggesting that mrp should be changed. I was pointing out that I personally would not use that term, and why. :::confused::: When did I suggest somebody should change the subreddit? if that's the way he wants to put it, whatever floats his boat. I did the read the rules but I suppose I was unclear. I won't comment about it again.

Aren't they kind of the same thing? I mean if I find a guy sexy, doesn't that make him alpha to me? Everyone wants a blend of alpha and beta things in a relationship. Where do you draw the line on what a guy "is"?

I love how you turn the inherent belief of women that we are not worthy unless we are beautiful into a sign of our being pedastalized. To be non-fuckable means to be worthless, according to quite a few men - particularly TeRPers. Now that is somehow our fault too? Lol

I have literally never heard a guy friend say he wasn't in the mood that time as part of a story or whatnot. All guys do is make jokes about always wanting sex, how seeing hot girls makes them want to have sex, how great it would be to marry a nympho, that kind of thing. So if guys always want sex, according to themselves, what other conclusion should a woman come to?

I suspect women with career ambition have more testosterone and so have higher sex drives. However, the two don't always have to go together.

Not true. I know scads of homeschooling moms IRL and none of them are even close to rich. Its usually about lifestyle choices, once the husband can meet a certain income level.

That is a large part of what a marriage contract is, yes. I wouldn't dream of staying at home to support a guy who won't even marry me. That's just stupid.

Are you under the impression that women in the third world don't generally work outside the home?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/16 11:10 PM

It has elements of truth but is mostly false, IMO. SAHM families usually are working class or lower middle class income wise. Upper middle class families are almost all double income. I.e., people who drive BMWs cooing about how lucky I am to have the "luxury" of making lifestyle choices.

Having fewer kids doesn't make a person a better citizen. Taxpayers don't just spring up out of the ground, briefcase in hand. Someone has to bear them and raise them.

I'm feeling pretty self actualized even though I'm a housewife. I have plenty of my own interests and keep up on several intellectual topics that I discuss with friends. Not making money does not make me "one step above a child".

Someone can always drop you at any time. That is certainly true. I understand your point about wanting the ability to leave a situation. I just wonder if it might become a self fulfilling prophecy for some people.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/16 11:01 PM

I can't change your view, as I think many, perhaps most, families would be happiest with a housewife in them. I think our "liberation" into being forced to put our kids in daycare was based on a misunderstanding by feminists of our essential natures as men and women. Men will never, on the whole, run households and take care of the children fully. (A few do, naturally, but not many.). Women gleefully tell everyone how they split all the housework with their hubby a year into the marriage before …

That's harsh, Groovy. Literally all of society plays along with this stereotype. When you are a wife who is not getting laid enough, it feels like you are the only woman in the world in that position. Do you honestly think having feelings of low self worth in that situation is insane?

"Guess you are now equipped to partially understand how men feel much of the time." Um, nope. For women, part of the pain is this idea that a healthy man ALWAYS wants sex. So if he doesn't, is he not turned on by me? I hate to be rude, but were you not listening? And I already feel bad for guys who are constantly getting shot down by their gfs/wives. That just sucks and I hate hearing about it happening.

He does turn my down sometimes when he is tired, and it can be difficult. I try not to, but I always end up pouting basically. I know that's lame, but its the truth.

My, aren't we aching for a fight? Funny, we are two intelligent, happily married, Libertarian women, who might truly enjoy each other's company, and you want to treat me like the enemy. Whatever floats your boat, my dear. BTW, I know that some men just cheat, no matter what the wife ddoes. That was one half of my comment. You seem to have missed that.

In some place women are strong and independent and also treated like crap. In some places they are infantilized and treated like crap. The reverse is also true. I'd certainly rather live in Japan or 1950's America than in Gambia, for example. (And true, I would rather live in Sweden than Saudi Arabia, which i think is your point.). I disagree with the notion that we need to live up to the ideal male image to be treated as well as men are. Working for pay does not mean life is going to be good fo…

Women with her BMI are legally barred from modeling in several countries because they are underweight. Now, how many women with slightly higher BMIs -a.k.a., models - have size DD breasts naturally? BTW, love the defensiveness. Take your imaginary girlfriend to the doctor. XD

Working women divorce men much, much more frequently. Yes, I am a SAHM, so obviously I have a horse in this race. Still, I think many women are unhappy trying to do it all. And since I do all the household stuff, my husband doesn't have to. If you love you some housework and enjoy fighting about dividing up chores, marry a working woman, be my guest.

Sorry, stone, I gotta agree. I'm submissive as hell, but if my guy slapped my face I would lose tons of respect for him. Some things are off the table; using his physical strength to "keep me in line" is one of them. Face slapping is degrading as hell and I'm not into humiliation.

I have to agree. Her cancelling the repair and buying the fridge is shitty, disrespectful behavior. And I don't like this idea of "whoever earns the money makes all the decisions.". Yes, in my house, my husband does both, but that is a choice we made together. And he always asks for my input on big ticket items. Jewish, religious woman, raised non religious. My husband was raised uber-religious so we've met in the middle. I do think men and women were made to be different from each other but are equally important. Sometimes the OT has some wisdom about the differences between us. Sometimes not. I like the emphasis in Orthodox Judaism on raising kids and making a home for them and for your husband. But I'm not Orthodox, just a very spiritual Mamaleh.

And yet, I'm happily married and have always had male friends. Maybe the men you are attracted to cheat, and the kind of men I am attracted to generally do not? Just because my vision of male nature is different than yours, it doesn't mean one of us is wrong.

Anything that shows a partner is paying close attention to who you are. Example: I had a first date with a guy I had talked to on the phone before. He knew I had a dog. He brought dog treats instead of flowers "Because you said Ginger gets lonely when you go out." Example: My husband told off a guy who was basically excusing "consensual" sex with 13 year olds by adult men, the age I was when I was raped. Now, this may not seem "romantic", but it sure as hell was to me. Example: My husband took m…

I'm a gen xer, but nice try. Not all men dream of having a harem. Even those that fantasize about it would never really want to cheat or risk a relationship by pursuing a side piece. My point is that boredom doesn't mean it's time to go partner shopping. Maybe just shop for some new toys together.

Her BMI says she is at an unhealthy weight. Very, very few women have a larger bust than hips as well. My BMI is 22 after five kids and I'm a C-D cup. Compared to my female friends of similar sizes, I'm large breasted. Hers is 17.5 by your measurements and she has a natural DD? Bullshit. Curvy doesn't mean fat. It means curvy. It can apply to heavy girls, average girls, or slim girls. But super skinny girls with double D boobs? Implants.

I personally have never known a woman in real life who has never masturbated by early adulthood. They sometimes make this a plot point on TV shows, but I would be stunned if I met a woman like this IRL. Some women do have a fairly low sex drive, but I think we all have a slut mode. Many women have a responsive sex drive though, not a spontaneous sex drive. That is the difference that is explained in the Come As You Are book. I thought it was really interesting and very helpful. I think that, wit…

"She's 5'7" 112 lbs, and 36DD - 24 - 34." This is the biggest BS I have ever read in my life. So she's dangerously underweight, but has the boobs of a curvy girl?

I gained 50 pounds with my kids. I lost it within 9 months to a year after each pregnancy. There is no right amount of weight gain - there are only averages. So she gained more than the average woman. So what? My boys were all at least 9 pounds, and hubs and I are both tall Viking types, so I never cared about weight gain during pregnancy.

Ah, OK, that makes good sense. So maybe he should press her to be more specific? "What kinds of actions would show you I care about you?" That way he's not trying to jump through invisible hoops. That would sort out if she's giving him a shit test or just honestly expressing her needs.
/r/askMRP06/10/16 06:18 PM

True. They certainly don't speak for most poor women. My family was always dirt poor, and the idea that staying at home with the kids was some sort of oppression always confused my Grandma. She would have loved to stay home full time.

True. The "everybody was raped" BS really pisses me off. Morning after regret is not rape. If you keep seeing the guy, it was not rape. If you were both equally drunk and you choose to sleep with him, that is not rape. Some of us have dealt with actual, forcible rape. Fuck all you casual sex regretters. I used to think that's wht "feminist" meant, too. Then I read the works of Simone De Beauvoir, Betty Friedan, Susan Faludi, Andrea Dworkin, etc. I was like, "disagree, disagree, disagree....." Then I read Christina Hoff Summers, George Gilder, Wendy Shalit, and Domestic Tranquility by Carolyn Graglia. I visited the website Ladies Against Feminism. Guy A. I actually dated a guy somewhat like guy B for a while. He was abusive eventually, along with the abusive nature of constant cheating. Funny thing - he wasn't as hot as my husband - a.k.a., my Guy A. But he was confident, alpha, all that jazz. There is no trade off for me. I am 100% loyal and I expect the same. My husband's morals are rock solid and I consider that an integral part of being a good man.

The book "Come As You Are" is fantastic at getting women to understand their sex drive and sexual experiences. It may be helpful. I also find that when I am feeling shy or easily embarrassed, the more dominant he is, the easier time I have letting go. I need to feel like he is pleasing himself by doing things to me. I can't possibly disagree more. Women's magazines are about self improvement, from cover to cover. Many women spend most of their lives on a diet. The "self improvement" category of books, much like the relationship improvement category, are mainly bought and read by women. Do women seek to improve their domestic skills? Well, I certainly always have, but I'm a housewife. It's my job. I am incredibly impressed by all the self improvement you guys are doing, including my husband, but I am totally…

There's a difference to a woman between a guy wanting sex and a guy wanting sex with her . The ten second kiss and some dominance in the bedroom makes it clear you want it with her. Decent men consider it a point of pride to always keep their word. I do agree with you there. Decent women feel likewise about always being there for their kids. Not-so-decent men break their promises to lots of people in their life... Like the promise to stay faithful or to raise their kids. And there are women who are great moms but get divorced in a flash. I guess I agree with you in the very narrow, restricted sense or the word promise; men keep promises to other men, not to their wives or c…

I'm sorry if I am misunderstanding you. You said that half of the human race, my half, is inherently without integrity or honor. Then you said it was just "the truth" as though that opinion has been objectively verified in any way, shape, or form. Yes, women initiate more divorces. And men cheat more often and abandon their kids more often. I don't think men do these things because of an inherent lack of integrity; I think humans make mistakes of various kinds and sometimes life becomes very com…

"Who gets laid more" is asked with the assumption that both are singles looking for ONSs. I am challenging that assumption. Who gets laid the most? Married and cohabiting guys, according to science. And who do girls want to marry? Guys with more than a hot bod.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you were some kind of noob. :-). I was just giving my own opinions on what is going on in the female brain, just based on my own and my friends' experiences. I think childhood attention seeking behavior is unnecessarily judgy and perhaps not always accurate. I mean, people with attachment issues, whether male or female, act in certain counterproductive ways. People without any severe issues just deal with things less intensely. The male coping mechanisms aren't some…

My hubs got a job offer he was excited about, and we moved cross country. It's actually a tiny bit your doing lol. I didn't answer your "questions" because they weren't really questions. They were assumptions. No, I'm not a stereotypical harpy shrew wife demanding foot rubs and choreplay. I am a college educated woman who never wanted to even try to "have it all". I only ever wanted to have a loving, committed family, and I am lucky and persistent enough to have one. Satisfied? Oh, I get it. I'm a libertarian myself, and I agree with the red pill side mostly. But I tend to be more conservative than many terpers; I believe in monogamy and have more traditional views on things. I just don't want my traditional views forced on people by law.

Oh, that's really interesting. I think women are attracted to an overall person, and without personality, a hot body or face isn't sexually attractive. It works the other way, too. My Hubby's fortyish body and grey hair are sexy to me because he is a sexy person. He'll still be sexy to me when he's 80. I think to a degree, this is true of men, too. After initial visual attraction, the whole package is important to men. A beautiful girl who acts like a schlub, carries herself poorly, or is obnoxious isn't as sexually attractiv…

Meh. I know a lot of women use the same thing as advice for treating a husband or boyfriend. "Men are little boys who just need mommy to tell them how strong and brave they are, men have an ego that you have to protect because they are like children," etc. This has made up a large part of women's so-called traditional wisdom about men. A few girls are just addicted to relationship drama; for them, yes. There's no real way to have a good relationship with a person like this. For most average women, any intimacy is better than no intimacy. So they try to drag you into a fight (aka, shit test) because they feel unsettled or have some resentment going on. No. I just want feminists to extend the favor and stop judging "progress" as less women staying home like me and more of them becoming career women (the only possible way to get 50% representation). Under those circumstances? Possibly. Under current circumstances? No. If you want to have a say in whether or not a woman has an abortion, you need to be married to her. If you want to have sex with a woman with no obligation to support her as a husband would, you don't get to help decide what happens after an unplanned pregnancy. Feminists are nasty and breathtakingly cruel to SAHMs. "Is your husband OK with you being a dependent?" "Do you ever worry that your kids won't have a female role model?" "I didn't want to waste my education by staying home, but I guess we just made different choices."

Plus, I have a kiddo who is "different" also, (he is autistic, and it is very obvious to strangers) and I try to be the change I want to see in the world. People can be pretty awful to anyone who isn't a cookie cutter version of male or female. That ticks me off.

I think one of the problems with TRP is that they totally negate the possibility of a different sexual strategy: monogamy. Staying attracted to your SO and staying together is the best way to ensure a good outcome for the children in that family, evolutionarily speaking.

I would highly recommend specifically trying to find a similarly high I.Q. partner. There are places and special interest groups that intelligent people frequent. (Mensa is only one of these and has fairly low I.Q. standards by that measure, but it may be a good place to start.)

AS/AS relationships tend to not work out as well as AS/NT relationships. (According to all the research I have read, anyhow.) That being said, you do need to find a partner that you have a lot in common with. Many non-AS people have also faced bullying, being considered "weird" for some reason, etc.

My husband has Asperger's. We've been married 15 years. Women don't look down on autistic people unless they're horrible human beings. The same goes for women trying to manipulate and torture you. I've never tried to manipulate my husband. I am a very honest, direct person, which is basically the only kind of partner an AS individual can realistically have a future with. Yes, we have dealt with some AS/NT problems in our marriage. But we both are madly in love with each other, and that causes bo…

I think the point of view being expressed in many comments is very similar to "If you won't sleep with me, I have no obligation to be decent to you". When I was a teenager I was shocked when one of my male " friends" suddenly treated me like crap when I started dating someone. And before anyone says otherwise, yes, I did nice things for him too. Its pretty much advertising that you don't have steady employment and can't think about your future. Not attractive. People are responsible for how they treat other people. In general, abusive assholes actually hide this part of themselves until the girl is involved with him. There are plenty of psychological reasons why people stay with assholes who treat them badly. And by your logic, isn't it sexist for a guy to complain about his wife's personality after selecting her based on how she looks? I mean, if he wanted to be treated well, he should have married for personality.

I would completely separate sex from your orgasm for a while. If you go into "you time" with no expectation of sex after, it will take the pressure off of him. Sex can happen at a different time of day or the next day. However, I think it's pretty normal for a guy to lose his erection while working on you sometimes. Lovemaking should be relaxed and fun, not a race to the finish line. Usually if my husband starts with me, we will then make out or I will go down on him. If he has any trouble with …

I think a woman's ideal partner has his own type of alpha and beta qualities. To be blunt, is this now a space where anti-feminist women can discuss relationship issues freely? It seems like there was a real Mean Girls vibe before. One very nice woman was banned for saying something like, "does this aspect affect women too, or just men?". I thought it was a fair question. I may be a submissive wife, but I don't think I need to be shushed. Honest questions from known users shouldn't be assumed to be trolling. I am a girl who had a hysterectomy. I also have an autoimmune illness that can cause bedroom problems. So, I get it from your wife's position. Are you yelling and being "scary" when you discipline? This triggers your wife and serves no purpose. Don't wait until you get angry. I think this is really a great answer. As a fairly gentle/submissive girl ( in some ways XD), some of the more heavy handed stuff on here would leave me in tears, calling my mom for advice. It would not be a net positive in our relationship. But from what I understand, some women don't even respond to the softer techniques. For the first part, starting a conversation in the middle, women do this with other women; it isn't meant to be hostile. I lost that lens pretty much the minute I started reading feminist books in college. "Shitty women are like that" lol I do like that phrase. It does seem really sad, though, the idea of nice people of both genders learning how to emotionally abuse people to trigger an intermittent reward response.

The fact that normal, nice girls have decided to read these books to avoid being used as a "pump and dump" or a "plate" should pretty much prove that not only are not AWALT, but that MOST women aren't naturally like that, no?

My hubs read For Men Only and said it gave him many aha moments. You can also talk to Aspie/ASD guys who are already in relationships and find out what worked well for them. Also, Maxine Aston has a great book about it too "What men with AS want to know about women dating and relationships"

@Xemnas81 My husband is an Aspie and is easily the best man I have ever met. You're selling yourself short. Maybe the problem is that you haven't found an equally "weird" girl that appreciates you, not that hypergamy means you are destined to be dumped or cheated on.

True independence while married with children is a myth, and a costly one at that. There is nothing wrong with both parties working, if they prefer it. But couples are then encouraged to stay financially separate, which is terrible advice. The whole point of marriage is to become a family, and to work for the good of the whole family unit, not just for the sake of staying supposedly independent. It strikes me as odd, too, that no one thinks my husband is dependant on me. If he had full custody o…

It's almost like you shouldn't have premarital sex with pro-life women you aren't interested in marrying... Also, of course it's for the woman. Someone has to physically raise the kid 24/7, and someone has to financially take care of that caregiver. When you say "women who can afford it", you mean women who can afford to pay a babysitter to take on this role for 9 hours a day. Two adults are still involved in raising the kid.

"We shouldn't be trying to socially engineer away biological roles.". Yes! The world needs a wide variety of people to pursue what they love. Women should not be manipulated out of doing just that, nor should men. It just so happens that most mothers want to raise their children themselves instead of hiring a replacement. I'm not OK with my tax dollars being spent on social engineering projects that consider housewives and at home moms a problem to be solved.

"Find a small gathering of intelligent people..." Yes, only stupid people choose to have a male working and a female at home. The smart ones know that men should stay home and women should work. You know how nonsensical this is, right? As for nature vs. nurture, women of Gen X and younger have been immersed in the idea that they should have a career if they want to be a successful human being. And despite many young men loving the idea of a woman working, man at home dynamic, it mostly leads to …

Feminism is NOT about choice. Have you read the feminine mystique? Its about making the choice to stay home into proof of your oppression. She literally bemoaned the fact that women still became housewives at that time, despite having the education and the CHOICE not to.. Heck, Simone De Beauvoir doesn't believe women should have the choice at all.

Women could already choose to become a pilot, a doctor, or anything else before Friedan and her friends came out against being a caretaker full time. The reason many women didn't do these things is that before birth control, marriage almost automatically meant children. And this was before day care was an option. So the choice then was to become a pilot OR get married. Most women chose marriage.

I didn't know that raising children full time was "depending on charity", thats pretty obnoxious, no? And before feminism and no fault divorce, that was considered a normal family life, even in the great depression. Many college educated men can support a wife at home if plenty of planning and foresight are applied. Most middle class people just don't value staying at home with the kids. Funny how couples I know where the husband makes nearly six figures " can't afford it", but we can. For the r…

Marx, Engels, and Stalin very specifically did NOT think women should be allowed to stay home with their kids. In their philosophy, women should go to work and all children should be in daycare from infancy. Women in communist Russia were REQUIRED to put babies in daycare at three weeks old. They not only didn't advocate respect for mothers, communist countries literally outlawed doing it full time.

I agree completely. I am a (stay-at-home) homeschooling mom, but I also have been known to call myself a housewife. It has always been women, not men, who make nasty comments, like: "I'd be too bored to stay home." "I would want to use my education and not waste it." "Do you ever worry that your kids will suffer without having a positive role model of a woman being successful?" "Does your husband mind you being his dependent?" "Do you ever feel guilty for not contributing to the family?" "You re…

"Let's ignore that hypergamy is real..." Bullcrap. Women cheat at rates LOWER than men, and at much, much lower rates previous to birth control and women being in the workforce for more of their lives. As for "male disposibility", it is MRAs who complain the loudest about alimony, child support, the absence of "paper abortions" and men who cooperated with extreme feminists to get no-fault divorce laws enacted. So which is it? Are men an integral part of a normal, healthy family life? (My view). …

All boys want to be a hero; as adults they want respect and admiration from a partner. All girls want to be a princess; as adults they want to be cherished and desired by a partner. Any parent of both sons and daughters knows this to be true. And neither of these is a problem that needs fixing.

I agree, mshorts. I'm also so tired of reading about what women are "really like" and about their "true natures" from men who clearly have no clue. In fact, I'd love to see more recognition in general that when you have not experienced something yourself you don't get to consider yourself an expert on the topic. Discussion is fine; it's certainty that is problematic.
