I like this one. I have no issue with oys hai g a fitness component, but I do think it's very different than on MRP. I do think it would be nice to have a place to publicly set an intention and then follow up on whether it actually got done or not. I do think there's some element of tough love, Pearl's pretty good at that, but also an element of accountability. I do think for a lot of us who are married with kids, we do a very different goals necessarily then people who are dating or trying to f…

I have pretty poor executive function skills. I struggle, and my house is not perfect but definitely passable. My first suggestion would be to simplify, I am not sure what you used to clean the tub, but I use Dawn dish soap to clean everything. I figure if it does not get totally rinsed, at least it is just dish soap. I don't have to worry about bleach/ammonia interaction because again, it's just dish soap. I don't have to worry about leaving it out and hurting my kids or pets. I have always dre…

Had my one and only at 26. Thought I had plenty of time for more, secondary infertility for 8.5 years. In process of adopting a foster now. I say don't wait. If you have issues, waiting will only make it harder, and like someone said, there will never be a perfect time.

Homeschooling at 6 is hard. A lot of people would say to back off, but I actually disagree now that I am a little further along (8 yo). I think it is important to maintain some level of doing work that is not super fun. That said, I would not give below level work. If I think about things I have to do that are below level, honestly I procrastinate too. I would set up an expectation now that work is what we do, unless you plan to be unschoolers. I treat school much like I did as a teacher. We hav…

So, I've spent a long time thinking and taking to him about this. It seems to come Down to a respect issue, but not with my respect for him. He sees it as an issue of the kids not respecting me. This is 2 fold, because I make the main meal for his tastes, he feels like that is the important part, so if the kids dont eat it, it is disrespectful, but the side dishes, are less important to him, so he does not care if the kids eat them or not. He has absolutely no concern for nutrition or meal compo…

It's really the only thing the is controlling on. He lets me homeschool how I choose, and parent how I like, but with food he thinks meat (mostly red or processed) should make up the majority of our diet. I am free to eat how I want, but I need to make an acceptable meal for him or he will eat fast food.

Because he does not like them. It's not that he won't let me serve them, but that before the kids can eat more of them, they must eat all of "his" preferred food. So no more salad until you eat the chili for example.

No, he just does not like them, and he expects dinner to reflect his taste.

I don't even give an option to make something else, her option is to take what I made or not eat, but I try to set a variety on the table (meat, carb, fruit, veg) and let the kids decide what they want to take. He wants the kids to eat the meat and a small amount of carbs and wants me to stop serving fruit and veg. I am not really asking how to get the kids to eat more, that I have handled, but how to disagree with him while still showing him respect in this. I can't let the kids starve because …

See, but my 8 year old eats more variety than my husband, just different preferences. She eats meat as a side dish while using fruits or salad and a carb as her main dish. Yes the 2 year old is super picky, but in a normal way.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
