Tell them can’t take good with the bad. All the great successes and innovations in society - not all men but almost always a man

I love how if you point out discrimination against men it’s “who cares” or don’t be “sensitive” which ironically is pointing out the bias in realtime

AITA is mostly a female sub?

I do agree women aren’t angels. But I do believe men for a number of reasons like sex drive, preferring younger vs older, less maternal instinct etc would be more likely to engage in sex with a minor. Doesn’t mean I support discriminating or stereotyping men in that scenario either - just adding to your intellectual discussion on the topic with some additional “facts”
/r/MensRights12/09/24 01:29 PM

True but you realize women get way more touch points with children. Just to be objective here - if men had the same number of touch points as women they’d probably have more.

While a true statement, I think men are pushing back more so you’re seeing more of a compromise these days where both work and contribute “equally”

The problem with 50 / 50 is women almost always seek a man who makes more. So when split they will get more than they contribute

Besides for the child rearing part the other things are subjective / biased. How are you not compensated if you’re literally given money / services of value like housing from your partner? And as a single person with a few roommates whom I tend to have to do “housework” for - none of those things take a long time in 2024, washing machines dish washing machines cooking machines like barely even registers in daily time spent. Worst case scenario a maid can help once a month for like $150
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/24 01:58 PM

Of course it still does. Women are attracted to potential and will often seek a man (especially if young) with ambition. Women aren’t dumb so no does not negate these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/24 05:01 PM

While I do think women want to be “fathered” (pay bills etc) while not “mothering” (choices childcare 50/50) I’m not sure it’s that common. Well it is but like not every single relationship. There’s usually trade offs and compromise unless guy is complete simp.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 05:59 PM

Yes of course. Just meant the in general the less body hair the more feminine / youthful / beautiful. Men are visual creatures. As an interesting side note, as women gained income they decided they wanted men to look visually more beautiful and so men too have been shaving body hair more too. Gay men we know have been doing it for a while since men are attested to that.

When did I say they didn’t? Whatever example you want to use doctor astronaut male stripper I don’t care. The argument is whatever is higher earning / status / prestige / education / earnings / seniority / power women want their mate to ideally have more of all of it than her ( but will settle for equal but no lower). There of course can be trade offs but she will calculate it and decide to stay single if not high enough. MEN DO NOT OPERATE LIKE THAT. I won’t repeat myself again and I don’t care…

One can debate without requiring 100% infallible proof, sometimes more likely than not works. You are so hypocritical love to tear down others arguments but also have no proof for these marketers you speak of. Oh so it is a debate forum to prove things but now we are not social scientists. Hilarious. Agree you have no evidence. I at least have a sound theory with almost certainty true axioms and a bunch of evidence from biology dating understanding of self and intuition logic synthesis common se…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 03:39 PM

What is with this proof. Social scientists never “prove” things like a math equation you just try to show evidence etc. I actually have same approach with all people who only believe “society” is cause of everything gender wise. Feminists are the worst offenders here and act like society isn’t just made up of people. Anyone who knows themselves dates and knows people knows there are some things we have in common across culture and time. These universals are closest thing we can know about people…

Every single thing points to that. Huge leap to just tell every man that we are being manipulated by marketers. It just can’t explain 100% of reality but feel free to prove it

Women compute status / earnings / level / education / family background all together. If guy is two levels above her or better undergrad or rich family or more prestigious field or makes more or preferably all of the above woman’s monkey brain is happy. I’d rather us just accept obvious truths so we can move on to more interesting debates. Thanks

Last I’ll say here because have to do work at my job. Yes - men attracted to youth / beauty / fertility / health. These are more likely tripped up by a man’s circuitry by a woman having less hair not more.

Oh this was before breast. This was in response to your first post on evolution being far away to be relevant and that we are less sexually dimorphic. My main point is both while somewhat true doesn’t mean aren’t a factor today and especially around gender / sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 02:37 PM

You did not. You attempted to focus on minute details and technicalities not overarching idea or main premises. It’s a good strategy but won’t work on me. Good luck next year kiddo.

I have a job and life to live. I can’t debate any more. Even if I could I wouldn’t want to it’s counterproductive. You clearly have paranoid beliefs about boogeyman marketers and potentially denial around biological reality, but I don’t diagnose people for free.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 02:29 PM

You sure like to put down others ideas without fully substantiating and proving your points with the same rigor you seek in others.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 02:27 PM

Ok I’ll rephrase it to make se point. Women still prefer men that are taller than them despite being able to provide for themselves and living in a world that isn’t as physically demanding. It doesn’t matter the example. I’m responding to you saying evolution isn’t as relevant. I am saying it still affects gender instincts for better or worse
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 02:17 PM

I’m saying there existence. Shape and size only matter as relate to youth / fertility. Though because breast tissue can get bigger when women ovulate and are aroused (especially nipple) men do respond a bit to that. Regardless my point was about how evolution works not breasts.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 02:08 PM

Yes I know all that I was being tongue in cheek. Breast are a sign of fertility and past puberty. And perky shape shows youth. But their existence in itself was to help feed baby so if males could get kills at store you’d say they’d be equally attracted to males chests as evolution would have no more use? No evolution happens over thousands of years. It evolved way before the modern world.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 02:02 PM

Maybe less but it is still there for better or worse. We can buy milk at the store but men still obsess over boobs. It is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 01:53 PM

Gender norms are based on this. Men are tough and need to work certain jobs. The step removed is that women seek tough men to protect and provide solidifying gender norm to strive for. Men are all competing for best mates so behooves them to fall in line and compete. We have biological sexual dimorphism creating gender roles (they change a bit overtime but remarkable similar). You can’t just remove men and their attraction triggers out of equation completely. But agree it isn’t the immediate con…

My argument has nothing to do with women’s biology. It rests on men’s biology namely what they prefer in mates and how they assess it. I don’t know why you’re fixated on when women get pubic hair never have I debated that they get it after puberty. My argument is about men assessment and how that ties into female intrasexual competitive behavior. One woman starts wearing a push up bra suddenly other women feel they might need to in order to compete as an example. The flavors change with culture …

/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 01:31 PM

Proof. No of course not. Scientists can’t prove these things. Though evolution is most accepted theory at this point to explain sex differences. Once someone offers a more compelling theory for why women have found it beneficial to trim body hair than ones I’ve offered I’ll accept it. Discussing the flaws in one theory without suggesting a better one just doesn’t do anything for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 01:06 PM
1

Oh yes definitely on looks. I was responding to women’s complaints about more equality in income and education. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. So I guess the equivalent of feminism would be men seeing women are better looking than men but also that being what men are most attracted to and forcing either them to be uglier or men to be better looking thus making society worse off
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 12:57 PM

Exactly they want at least their equal or better. Men do not necessarily think like that.

Haha crying. Funny how the whole time and my whole argument focused on male biology (visual cues, what attracted to etc) and you came away with female biology. It is like talking to a wall.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 12:36 PM
1

Yeah of course. Male monkey brain isn’t that smart. Seeing smooth hairless skin is seen as beautiful and if shows smooth skin youth and hygiene. Less hair is more soft and feminine. It is also associated with youth as you said hair grows over time so less you have younger you are. Now whether trimmed patch shaved that’s all idiosyncrasy. All I know is to answer OP question it is not just cultural it is also biological. And the biology is related to indicators of mate value and intrasexual compet…

Women’s attraction to men is relative. They choose the top % of men so if all men grew five inches the new height they seek would be 6’5” or something like that. But it’s also relative to themselves. If they are 6’1” suddenly any guy 5’10” is short - they do the same with status / wealth. Men do not operate this way. They see in absolute. Girl is pretty or she’s not. Of course man can only marry one woman so might be pickier but had nothing to do with his relative to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 12:22 PM
3

Omg you are missing my point. Whatever thing women feel is unequal - their soup of the day. Anything related to height / strength / status / resources / positions / wealth / etc they both want more of but also want man they date to be better at those. I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy in feminist logic.

Not sure where you’re getting any of that. Just was trying to clarify nuanced conversation via text. But no I don’t think anything I have said is wrong but I’m more than open to hearing something that changes your mind. I’m also laughing too. Debating women is usually one of those laugh or you’ll cry situations. There are evolutionary reasons for that as well but I desperately do not want to have to explain that to you either. I’d rather stab my eyes out with a fork. Good day ma’am.

Again it’s an example. Take 100 spots to be a billionaire. If women want 50 of those spots, those women will see any man at or below their level as not good enough

Ah ok now I see what you’re missing. It has nothing to do with when you grow hair. And no hairless isn’t biological though having less hair than men is. What I tried to say is that having less hair indicates youth and beauty. Those traits making someone more attractive. Like if a 30 year old gets Botox to make her forehead look like she’s 20, she wouldn’t claim men don’t get that foreheads get wrinkly over time of course they do. But the less it is the more youth cues get triggered in males monk…

It’s just an example. You have finite spots. Women both want them but hold onto their desire for a male better than them. You can’t have both.

I have no idea where that question came from or what answering that would help with. It’s like I don’t know when man will be the king of his village. Typically occurs later in life but if occurs at age 18 women will still be attracted to that. Doesn’t negate that women tend to find older men attractive because tend to have more resources. These are imperfect markers from our monkey brain. It isn’t that smart. Man sees smooth skin (shaving can make skin seem younger more beautiful) and thinks you…

If by no body hair you mean like completely 100% shaven yes sure I agree that’s idiosyncratic. Crux of OP post was on why focus on body hair as women and discussions on trimming / shaving. And I have explained exactly why. I can’t tell you if the current culture says just trim but keep hair light or shave but the same principles apply.

I mean yes it is a secondary sex characteristic in the sense it appears at puberty, but it is not unique to females sexual secondary characteristic development is what I was referring to. Men look for signs of being female and giving birth. I do not believe men needed to see pubic hair to make that assessment (or at least was low on list). The literal proof is in reality. What I’m saying occurs in real world as we speak. You trying to explain it away as purely cultural to make yourself feel bett…

What makes it an exception? Women have always had less hair than men and men mostly always preferred it that way. If you want to believe with our same biology there’d be a culture where for thousands of years across countries women always had almost as much hair as men you’d just have to be delusional I’m sorry. But anyways I have nothing more to add so keep believing what you want
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 11:31 AM

I don’t see how 94% of population following what I’m saying above negates my general truth I’m putting across. Always exceptions. Anyways feel free to respond to my previous post with a more thought out response. No rush.

I’m just glad I clarified your confusion earlier on how hair and puberty relate. Always better when discussions feel productive on here haha

Depends how you define it. I define status as rank among men in a social group. Women weight this heavily. And it is 100% biological. Women seek out men who can protect and provide (and will commit to them) so strength height ambition confidence ability to lead men / group etc are all biological. As I said how it is expressed differs - before money it was maybe which guy had biggest farm idk. I’m pointing at the principle instinct in gender true across space and time. I don’t know much about som…

Sure some signs can be more signs. Like body hair isn’t #1 on list at all. Relatively unimportant. But still a consideration and there’s a reason sexes have different relationship to body hair (biology). Even if women wanted to look for beauty and full lips, they are typically less visual and look for other traits like protecting and providing so they wouldn’t put as much weight on it this men don’t intrasexuslly compete on that as much
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 11:14 AM
1

You are obscuring the nuanced reality. How do you explain that men report finding 20 most physically attractive age and relatively little body hair (completely hairless is obviously more idiosyncratic)? I have a theory. My guess is you’ll say culture but I don’t see how that’s the more likely thing when something is somewhat do universal with some exceptions
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 11:10 AM

You’re seeing this as way too higher brained. I’m referring to instincts from 1000s of years of evolution it isn’t that smart. Men can see boob jobs and our instincts can get turned on not realizing it is fake. Blonde hair is a sign of youth. Men find blonde hair on women more more attractive than women typically find it on men. Same thing is going on here. Lots of young have blonde hair. Anything that shows youth while still having secondary see characteristics will trip up male circuitry to sa…

Oh ok great. Glad you finally came around. I can understand why you were initially confused about everything. Humans are complicated so not always straightforward. The body hair issue is sensitive for women so they don’t always want to see it objectively but commend you for being able to put facts over feelings here. Nice work.

What does men taking longer to grow body hair have anything to do with women or any points above? Humans unlike most mammals disguise it more as they don’t just present it during ovulation. However a female becoming aroused of which more likely in ovulation will give off signs men are attracted to. Orgasm gap has nothing to do with anything here. Only thing needed for procreation was male to orgasm. Female orgasm did help with fertilization to support most attracted male ending up reproducing bu…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:59 AM

No - younger women (as long as past puberty) are more fertile. I’m not sure if I explained it to you or to others but we can look at different markers for different traits. Facial symmetry can say a lot about beauty but nothing on fertility. Wide hips says past puberty and fertile but not necessarily youth. Less hair is associated with beauty and youth. Good skin shows health and youth. And so on. Hope that clears up the confusion here.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:53 AM

The ones I listed are definitely based on biology but agree can be represented differently in cultures. Like universal that women like status - whether that takes form of a royal monarch 200 years or a CEO today the same principle applies. For men it was youth fertility beauty health. How that is expressed rhymes but may not exactly repeat.

First part - yes sure but the reason men and women have such differences speaks to sexual dimorphism. Each sec tries the accentuate polarity to be more attractive. Men try to be bigger women try to be smaller, etc Second part - From AI: “From ancient times, full lips have been considered an alluring feature that can enhance an individual's sex appeal. This is likely because full lips are often seen as a sign of good blood circulation and vitality, both indicators of good health and fertility” an…

Oh no I was referring to vaginal lips. So yes my bad. But here just looked this up using AI “Red lipstick is considered universally appealing by some, and research suggests that it can make women more attractive to men than other colors. Some say this is because red lips mimic the vasodilation that occurs during sexual arousal, and the warm shade can signal health and fertility to potential mates.” Now that I’ve corrected that you can’t nitpick one aspect to negate entire argument :)

I’ll also add that less body hair is considered more beautiful. A man with a lot of hair seems rugged tough masculine, but if shaves body hair seems more pretty boy beautiful. Men tend to focus more on beauty so another reason it’d be the case women shave

I don’t entirely disagree that there are norms and fads, but I’m explaining where it comes from. You aren’t going to consistently find a fad where women have more body hair than men. Maybe for a couple years or one country, but in general that’s the sexual dimorphism and some like to take it to extremes to play up the polarity. Like a guy trying to be the 7 foot tall billionaire to eventuate his masculine polarity. It points to a truth to explain things but of course men exist in all shapes and …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:14 AM

It has to do with where sexually mature woman put fat deposits. Women tend to put it in breasts and butt etc. men do not. The lips thing I forget but there was a reason women tended to wearcred lipstick and I remember it had to do with woman who is horny and fertile but forget where I read it. There’s a ton of science behind all this stuff. I’d suggest you read some evolutionary biology / psychology textbooks if you haven’t already.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:11 AM
1

Again there are always exceptions and trends. Less hair is considered more beautiful (as opposed to practical for men who had to hunt etc) as established above. So as we move into more egalitarian times I’d expect women to seek a bit more beauty. I still don’t ever think it’d be at same level consistently across space and time until our biological hardware catches up
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:08 AM
1

First part - how did I not capture your critique in what I said? Second part - Body hair is not a secondary sex characteristic. It is not unique to developing as a female through puberty. Men and women both develop hair as they get older so wouldn’t be a focus for men when looking at puberty. A women who gets older and especially in menopause has testosterone spike producing facial hair and more body hair. His visual cues would understand as long as have secondary sex characteristics and hips et…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:07 AM

Many people consider late teenage early 20s to be youth but whatever you want to label it as I’m ok with. And I don’t know what exceptions exist. There’s a reason the average woman has less body and facial hair naturally than men in the first place as there was a clear sexual dimorphism here. Testosterone levels drive it and men are not looking for that. Testosterone increases in women as they age.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 09:49 AM

So your argument is that hairlessness should not be attractive because not associated with going through puberty? You are assuming that men’s visual circuitry developed to see hair as sign woman entered puberty. Most likely the circuitry relied on visual cues of secondary sex characteristics like hips, boobs, butt etc to do so. Hair was not one of those indicators. All its visual cues know is dark and hairy is a sure sign of being much older so less hair means know more young fertile

I mean completely hairless is a fad sure I mean I don’t think anyone expects that either. The discussion of this entire thread was around why body hair on women is focused on and I gave my answer it’s related to evolution. How it specifically plays out in each case I don’t know but the reason it ever was even discussed unlike something evolutionarily less important like what color you like is because it has some meaning in intrasexual competition due to mate preferences. Don’t shoot the messenge…

Fads do not appear out of nowhere. Humans are different than other mammals in that characteristics of being in heat are present even when not ovulating. But what that looks like is an arched back (heels help with that), moist plump lips (really vagina lips) boobs perkier and hard nipples, flush cheeks, etc etc
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 09:21 AM

Oh well of course different people in a gender can have differing preferences I’m generalizing here. As such I cannot speak to you and your friends. Just as I’m sure some men prefer a woman covered in back hair. And yes you are right that culture can affect biology. Like back in the day women wanted a protector and provider there was no such thing as a suit or nice watch or whatever’s the culture triggers the deep instinct and teaches them that’s the correlation. I could see that being the case …

I don’t understand how your theories fit the facts better than my theory. (1) Men are scientifically not attracted to women before puberty by and large (2) men find less body hair more attractive than more body hair. I think we both agree on these facts? If so how does your theory explain it better?

Just because something isn’t simple but rather has nuance doesn’t mean it is wrong. Men are scientifically attracted to women post puberty but still young so maybe 15-25 range might be peak depending on cultures. Beyond being of age to bear children men seek a women that is beautiful healthy and fertile. Youth was an important indicator of these things. Youth as in say she’s 18 not 60 in caveman times. So once circuitry is set women can exploit male visual cues and out compete women. They show m…

If you decide you like say status, a man may be able to exploit that visual cue by wearing a suit. It doesn’t mean women are attracted to the suit but what it may represent to them. Women in menopause gain testosterone and increase in facial hair etc. by looking for visual cues of youth (like you said your hair didn’t change much before or after puberty) it ensures seek fertility. Not mutually exclusive. Men are attracted to sexually mature women but still young. Visual cues in men can be exploited. Like men don’t know what lip fillers are they just know lips engorge when in heat and fertile so pumping lips up exploita that visual cue. Younger people have less hair. When I was 20 I barely had chest hair at 29 I have a ton. If I wanted to seek younger I’d shave it

Of course - it’s just a way to out compete in intrasexual competition. Like all women have boobs but some decide to get boob jobs do perkier or bigger for same reason. Idk seems like common sense to me
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 08:12 AM

Men are attracted to indicators of youth and fertility and also beauty. So things like blonde hair and less body hair long head hair signal youth along with nice skin, big lips big boobs big butt signal fertile and in “heat”, wide hips signals ability to give birth etc etc. with intrasexual competition the more you can demonstrate these theoretically higher value mate can be obtained

Yeah it reminds me of that saying to the privileged equality feels like oppression. Women are so used to being treated special that when they’re treated like men they think they’re being treated poorly and scream misogyny / sexism when it’s ironically the opposite - it’s true equality for once.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:51 AM
2

I read unemployed as out of their control not choosing not to work. Very different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:48 AM

Yeah I agree. I think women also tie sex more to something more. For men sex is the end a lot of times while for women sex can be more of a means to get what want - commitment, resources etc
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:44 AM
2

Agreed. We teach men how to treat women and teach women what to expect in men. Why don’t we teach women how to treat men and men what to expect in women?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:42 AM
0

That’s fine but the problem is it isn’t applied equally to sexes. I’m ok with say having 50% of law grads be women but if the woman who took the spot of the man won’t date the man whose spot she took while the man having that spot would date women whose spot he took you get an odd sort of situation we have now. Increases wealth concentration as men are more willing to share it amongst other social implications. But the main people in women’s way is their ego. Men have no problem if you’re richer…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:41 AM

It’s a little bit of a chicken or the egg. Evolutionary speaking the reason women don’t find men as attractive physically is because they were looking for a protector / provider. To be purely sexually attractive and not require resources they’d only be attracted to the supremely best genes as all women can obtain that in dual mating strategy while ovulating and have provider raise them ideally for her. So it’s not that women are more attractive (a cat or alien wouldn’t see it that way), it’s tha…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:37 AM

It’s not? Men are attracted to youth / beauty and women find that it can give them a leg up on competition to have less hair. It’s not that deep bro.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:32 AM

I was referring to the theoretical one that woman wants to solve. I realize it isn’t real but to hypocritical individual in my example they probably believe it is real

What does you having a bachelors degree and in post grad have to do with “men on this sub complaining”?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 04:28 AM
0

The attitude I described has nothing to do with whether you’re a self made millionaire or a housewife - both can have the hypocritical stance. A poor woman will say she needs a guy above her because she doesn’t have much and law partner woman will say she needs a guy “at or above her level” they both want same thing instinctually but rationalize with higher brain in different ways. Again all biologically fine and normal. If either woman acts like a victim for men being above them that is where i…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 04:22 AM

I think it only matters if the same women claims things about equality due to contradiction between seeking out men above them and complaining about them being above them. These two things could of course occur in different women though
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 03:55 AM

Maybe because discussions about misogyny are more common even if not necessarily more preferable than misandry
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 12:08 PM

The textbook is literally called evolutionary psychology I stated the name
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 03:45 PM
1

I just named a textbook. And I could say the same about you?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 03:38 PM
1

You haven’t named your sources despite me asking before. I’d say most helpful was an evolutionary psychology textbook by David Buss which helped frame my lens of history using scientific understanding of instinct.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 03:30 PM
1

History books, psychology books, biology books, gender studies. I don’t just let others tell me what to think though or only believe things in my interest. I also try to apply an objective lens and critical thinking. The truth is usually quite nuanced and complex.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 03:27 PM

Women get away with this more…yes. Usually the case. But having to always be responsible for your actions builds character so it ain’t all bad
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:00 PM
1

A feeling? No. Reading literature on the topic and critical thinking along with discussions with others. Where are you getting your views?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 12:49 PM
1

The usual view of women being helpless victims for thousands of years just always seemed off too so wanted a more common sense approach to thinking about things that was more balanced and without contradictions
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 10:45 AM

I find it interesting the study mentioned men’s interest in younger women but didn’t call out female interest in status / wealth as a factor at all
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 04:11 AM
0

Essentially yes though that’s somewhat simplified of course
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:46 AM
1

Haha understood. Remember why men had more risk seeking behavior. All a women had to do to successfully pass on her genes was survive so she focused on safety (and seeking protector provider in male) while most men were not able to reproduce unless won fights and took risks to be high status male with resources. No risk taking wiped out of gene pool while taking risk and running could mean tons of mates for a male
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:21 AM

Again my statement has nothing to do with you. I’m discussing groups of people in history
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:19 AM
2

I was never blaming you. I’m explaining why a common historical interpretation is not entirely accurate
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:17 AM
-1

Of course I do. I’m explaining why they pushed for more leadership and jobs when they did as opposed to 500 years ago. Men have never had an option even when we didn’t live in the modern world
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:13 AM
-4

They want it under certain circumstances - namely a safe advanced world with technology that allows them to do certain jobs they’re comfortable doing
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:08 AM
0

Agreed. Women historically did not want what they’re complaining men kept them away from. I mean there’s a grain of truth in what they claim but it’s way more complicated than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 02:00 AM
1

Ok so do you agree that men don’t date younger women because women their age don’t date them or not?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 08:57 PM
1

Oh yes it can be though not sure if age is only factor in compatibility. Plenty of great personalities of women in early 20s that can match overall life goals of a 38 year old
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 08:25 PM
2

But how are they seeking it out if every man wants a girl that age. Some older men have cognitive decline or can be more swayed by beauty idk what to tell you
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 05:40 PM
1

It seemed as if your point was that unemployed men may seek out 20 year olds but maybe I misunderstood
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 05:12 PM
0

It doesn’t negate just makes it irrelevant as it’s all men that age not just this group you’re calling out
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 04:49 PM
0

But men who are 40 mostly all believe 20 year olds are most attentive so that would include the full spectrum of men from celebrities to unemployed men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 04:19 PM
1

I mean sure I mean I guess if you only focus on negative cases. I could say some young women date older men just to exploit their youth to manipulate older men into handing them status wealth power. It’s just a negative take on things.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 04:08 PM
0

Exactly. So where do these posters get the idea that men dating younger women shows nobody their age wants them?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 03:52 PM

Oh yeah for sure
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 03:37 PM

There do exist men out there who a younger and older woman would both find attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 02:46 PM

My hunch would be the data would suggest it is typically women across location and time. Women are just pickier than men - they’re more likely to look for negatives in men and say no at the start of relationships obviously but that mentality never stops. They’ll keep thinking is this person maintaining / fulfilling promises and good enough for me entire time. Reasons they’re pickier before sex occurs are well known and obvious. But think about it evolutionarily as well later on - men that weren’…

So voting didn’t exist when humans first risked the earth. You’re saying when it was invented and that period of time between when men had it (well the few in small subset of democratic countries who owners property) and women were yet to get it that moves women have always and still are oppressed? Women actually originally opposed getting the vote in America because it came with the obligation of serving in military. America eventually decided to grant women voters special privileges of getting…

I am pro abortion but that is not a sign of oppression. The governments job is to force people to do things (pay taxes, not do something etc). Forcing someone to do something about their body isn’t unique to women. There’s actually a gendered law in the US (technically against the 14th amendment) that says only men can be drafted - thus having to forcefully give their bodies up in time of war. Abortion is about whether a fetus is a person and at what point they become a person. If a man had a te…

I don’t know I look around in America and just don’t see oppressed women with my own two eyes . Women are the majority of our voters, 60% of college / law / medical school graduates, live longer than men, more healthcare spending on women, a lot of time and effort to understand what makes women uncomfortable to correct it for them, options to be a stay at home mom or work (men’s only option here is to work), etc. I obviously didn’t exist in the past so that relies on research more than my own tw…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 10:56 PM

There are times in the past when they couldn’t vote though so by your definition of voting being most important measure of oppression they used to be oppressed too
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 10:51 PM

And why is that the case? I’m pushing you to practice full sentences with explanations and evidence here
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 06:22 PM

Ok and your platform is that because some women in world cannot still vote (a number that may be higher than number of men who still can’t vote) that means women have it worse than men? No other information needed? I think life is holistic and we need to assess happiness and relationships and more to fully know who has a worse life. It’s really impossible to do by gender on a global scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 06:21 PM

It’s actually the most open minded view. Feel free to provide information the change my mind

American Revolutionary War. It was fought over the law that taxed the colonies without offering them a seat in their government.

Nobody can take your decision making away from you unless you let them. Read the book “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Victor Frankl. A psychiatrist who was in a concentration camps helps argue that even in that camp he realized Nazis could never take his core personal freedom away.

What? Yes of course they have been. History involves toms of conflict amongst humans including over laws
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 02:53 PM

Freedom is nice but it’s not the end all be all. Depends what freedoms means. Idk what country you’re from but Americans like to say freedom isn’t free. You need to have a strong army, wealth, etc to achieve and maintain it. We take pride it creating and defending freedom where we can. With that said, America isn’t the most free place I could be. Toms of laws and restrictions. The most free place would be on an island by myself but I don’t want that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:55 PM
1

Ok there were men who lacked stuff too historically. You can’t just focus on a certain subset of men at the top.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:53 PM

Not consistently across the world no.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:52 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:52 PM

Is that your way of saying you don’t have any evidence?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:48 PM

Wars are not fought for no reason. Laws are just things people decide to create and follow. They don’t exist out of nowhere. Sometimes they benefit certain people over others and conflicts ensue.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:47 PM
1

I don’t understand your obsession with voting. If men vote but vote for policies that benefit women at the expense of men how does that help men? Women operate through soft power and manipulation by manipulating society through men. That’s how they did it 5000 years ago due to being physically weaker and how they do so today.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:42 PM
1

How have they always had the right to vote? Democracy wasn’t even widespread across the world until the past 100 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:41 PM
1

I did after you had done so first.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:40 PM
1

I don’t understand. How are the vast majority of crimes committed against women? You have not shown any evidence whatsoever to prove that point
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:39 PM
1

What? Literally all of it is about men fighting wars to get more of what they want. That’s literally all it is. One group of men felt other taking advantage so fought them rinse and repeat which led to shifting geopolitical borders. Like american men felt were being taken advantage of by Europeans so left country came here and thought were being taxed unfairly so they fought revolutionary war. Unlike women they just can’t complain to men or shame them into just getting there way
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:38 PM
1

Also it’s funny at least in America now that majority of voters are female now the feminists want to claim voting doesn’t matter and now claim oppression through other means now
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:32 PM
1

I don’t see any facts. All told me is that once men got the right to vote in a particular country it took a bit of time for women to get it afterward? I don’t see what that proves. You haven’t responded to anything I’ve said in response just repeating your same one fact you learned from that one time you actually did research
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:31 PM
1

Attacking myself as an individual, my gender, and my country. A new low of ad hominem attacks. Hey when you can’t respond to the actual argument I guess what else is there to do in your case
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:29 PM
1

But the data literally says bad things happen to men more not less than women. -more likely to due by homicide -more likely to die by suicide -more likely to be homeless -more likely to be robbed, physically assaulted, bullied, verbally assaulted, etc (maybe because seen as able to take it more idk? -die almost ten years younger than women -when a village used to be raised they’d kill all the men and then let the women stay with them
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:28 PM
1

Ok then fight the law. Laws have been against men too all the time. Literally history books are about men fighting for a better life or for more rights
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:23 PM
1

You just want to deny facts because of your own misandry. Didn’t want to stoop to your level but oh well
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:22 PM
1

You just want to define bad and oppressed your own way and have a pity party. Men could do the same. They could define oppression as having to work but not keep benefits of their work (slavery” and bam men are oppressed. Men across space and time have been forced to transfer their income and wealth to women
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:03 PM
1

I’m truly scared that someone like yourself actually thinks you are able to think clearly.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 01:00 PM

Correct. Men are more violent. I was referring to the victim, not the perpetrator here. I realize you don’t care that men can be victims but it doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:59 PM
1

Allowed? Why do they always ask men for permission? Just do it. Men who were told no had to fight literal wars if other men told them no. They could have done the same
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:55 PM

I honestly could use your same arguments to prove men have it worse than women but I think it’s much fairer and easier to prove it’s equal yes
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:54 PM

Also just because we have been going back and forth I do just want to say I totally get why you have these opinions. If I was a woman I would definitely push this narrative as well as it helps promote a better life for myself. You haven’t yet explained your logic. Repeating the same statement because you want it to be true doesn’t make it true. Why would crime against women decrease exactly? And only because our argument is over man vs woman is be interested how it relates to the amount / rate change in men in your scenario
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:49 PM

My ancestor males weren’t allowed to work so they left the country and made shit happen. Not everything gets handed to someone. Playing the victim certainly won’t get you far.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:48 PM

Every single major crime except for sexual assault I believe is perpetrated more against males than females. Just like murder isn’t the only crime neither is sexual assault. My argument isn’t that extreme I’m just saying men and women both have it equally bad just in different ways. Trying to prove one has it worse is hard to do and somewhat subjective
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:47 PM

I am challenging your point by saying you even focusing on it over the fact it is happening more to the gender you’re claiming has it better disproves your point in itself
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:39 PM

A woman who decided to not be dependent on a man would have been worse off hence why they typically would not choose that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:38 PM

I mean I literally sent you data to show it. And murder is one of many ways the same phenomena plays out. Facts over feelings. Say it to yourself ten times every morning in front of the mirror.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 12:37 PM

It’s interesting though that you can see that data and only focus on how it affects women (decreasing or increasing for them). I mean the data also suggests an empathy gap for women over men so I’m not surprised but interesting no the less
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 11:35 AM

I just snorted my breakfast. Thank you for the laugh.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 11:31 AM

What makes you think women didn’t seek to be dependent on men. Like even in this day and age where a women has a law degree she might seek a guy who makes more and work part time. Nobody is forcing her - the guy may even prefer she works more so the financial burden isn’t as much on him. But she chooses this obligation for guy / dependence on guy for her benefit. Women historically were not as dumb as you think they were.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 11:31 AM
1

I’d argue if we increased true equality throughout world it would increase. Men treat women better than they treat other men - if we treated them the same they would not like it. You could argue though if we had true equality where men were given more freedom to be female gender roles it could go down though as then weakness would theoretically be punished less. Historically not possible but maybe in 2024 it is? Not sure. It’s like in high school when you see guys destroying eachother with verba…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 11:29 AM

It’s funny because what you said to me is better advice for yourself than anyone else. My guess is you start from an emotional victim mentality and concern for your interests as a gender first rather than primarily looking at objective truth. It’s a common issue, but at least for a discussion like this intellectually dishonest. As a result, not worth discussing with you anymore. Good day.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 11:04 AM
1

I don’t see how having a man who benefits you by being dependent on him is being oppressed. As an analogy, If I’m a housewife, I might not show an income but I live in the persons house spend their money have them make me feel safe like I don’t see how that’s upside facto bad. Like everything there are trade offs I get that but gender roles have pluses and minuses. You may just lack empathy for men historically so maybe you see upsides of their gender role but not the downsides to it?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 11:01 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 10:45 AM

That’s your perception. I could claim historically as a man they didn’t have the right to stay home and have a woman go out and work to feed them or have her defend him. Rights arise from obligation. Someone needed to do the work to create a right for you to desire. I think because women take all the great stuff men did to create the world for women for granted they miss this and only focus on the missteps or downsides to that arrangement. It’s s bit like a nagging wife haha

Are you saying removing sexual motive would decrease sexual assault? Possibly though I thought people claimed it was about power not sex? Please provide statistics showing that women are more likely to be victims of crime than men. Just because something feels true doesn’t mean it is. Because people are more concerned with the interests and lives of women and children you’ll see a time a woman is killed more often on news. Also women are more risk averse evolutionarily due to the fact they were typically less strong than the average male but also because almost any woman could reproduce as long as she survived whereas men usually …

The idea of freedom is odd to me. Is the person who has to work to support a dependent more free than the person who relies on this person for support? An obligation and a supporter relationship feels a bit like both aren’t free. The ideal for man is freedom from burden up protection and provision for women while for women it’s needing to rely on men for that. So I guess society is working toward freeing both genders from gender roles so can be happier. Advancements in world have helped accompli…

I do not follow any of the first paragraph in the post I’m replying to now. Feel free to try to elaborate or reword if you want. A lot of what I’m describing are macro phenomena. If women as a group have a certain preference or biological drive it can affect the structure of an entire society. I don’t think you can look at it in terms of one individual woman - each woman is very different. Having freedom (agency) isn’t the ultimate desire of a person. I personally would perceive toms of women telling me I’m hot as a positive and I’ll stand by that, but I understand my evolutionary prerogative is to “spread my seed”

Women will fight an abortion law on principle even if not pregnant as they should. Why should a law be on the books in this day and age that says only men or only women? Its at best unconstitutional and at worst highly sexist
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 08:11 PM

I don’t see how pointing out some ways women have it worse means they have it worse overall. Each sex has negative and positive aspects to its experience. Wait so are we defining misogyny as only instances when a man kills a woman for a clear hate filled reason only? If so I’d agree that might happen more to women than men but exceedingly rare overall
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 08:10 PM

Men and women are different. If women catcalled men and we don’t like it I’d argue they like us more than I like them back not that they hate us more. But I understand genders can perceive situations differently and that’s ok

Yes true. There are downsides though as she is now dependent on the man, but just different tradeoffs

Allowed to? If women were treated the same as men historically we would have died as a species. Short weak men were killed so if you were seen the same as men we’d probably fight your tribe of short weak men. It’s a good thing they saw you as special and in need of protection. Many men weren’t allowed to do much either. They couldn’t play the victim card though some even had to go out get on a boat and risk their life to create a new society. Some of these men even created voting when came to Am…

But don’t you see - men are the victim of every single crime at a higher rate today except for sexual assault. So you’re trying to say if men stop hating women the rate of crime against women would go up?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 05:17 PM
2

Yes I have for the most part. What makes you think women had it worse than men? I’d say more equally bad though obviously one could argue men or women having it worse if they want to try

I mean the genders aren’t a monolith. My personal experience is that women just care more about partners finances than men do. It’s the same as height for an analogy. I don’t really care about women’s height and how it relates to mine but I know she does. So I might decide not to go on a date with a woman who is taller than me not because I care but because I have had bad experiences in past where I know deep down it’s something she accepts or resents but is never a fuck yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 05:07 PM

Yes - most men historically were not able to mate so women’s sexuality etc are very powerful whether women know it or not. If all women decided they’re more attracted to men who don’t work then all women can have the jobs they want tomorrow
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 04:38 PM

Women kill men they just get men to do it for them. Many stories of women finding a boyfriend to kill their husband for them. Just because she manipulates men to do her bidding doesn’t mean she wasn’t the ultimate murdered here
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 04:37 PM

If you somehow removed all hate against women how do you know no females would be killed anymore? I’d actually argue the thing keeping the numbers down right now is how much men LOVE women. We still allow you to be treated in a special way (protected and seen as more valuable lives than men) despite drying for “equality” for years.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 04:35 PM

Oh are you referring to today or historically? I do agree men have created a very advanced world where women are now dropping some of their historical special treatment requirements for more equality in school and the professions they deem good like doctor etc

I’m sure some did but it was not as much a systematic obligation. They had shorter lifespans and high infant mortality rate so focused on kids more than men

A person can make a bilateral transaction to benefit themselves. I can decide I want to join a company but give my freedom of doing anything I want at 1 PM on Monday away. Women sought for a man to be dependent on to care for them. Being pregnant and harsh environment biologically required it at that point. And I don’t get this obsession with rights and choice. Men historically had little too. Men got the vote universally not too much before women. Voting is not the end all be all anyways. It’s …

I suppose that’s true, but violence towards women isn’t always driven by hate. I mean if there’s a robber who only steals from rich people he might just be trying to get his needs met in an immoral way from those who have what he wants. Does he necessarily hate rich people in this case? Possible but can’t really tell on surface
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 04:17 PM

Why can’t you equate whore to loser? Again in your eyes it’s not as bad but many men would much rather be called a whore than a loser due to differences in sexual strategies And evolution works under the surface. We aren’t exactly conscious of it running always but it’s there

Lies can be in different ways. Anyways, yes women lie verbally a lot as well. Mostly to themselves but also to the men in their lives and to society both to improve their lot in life I guess like any other liar

Hey man. While what you’re saying does have a grain of truth, I don’t want this thread to sink to the level of generalizing in an extreme negative way. Ok helpful. Yeah so my approach would to be try to be objective here. I don’t think sex work was only looked down upon by men but both men and women in society. A woman may have felt it decreased her odds of finding a husband or maybe mother of prostitute thought it’d hurt her ability to have successful grandkids etc. Women’s sexual value was inherent at birth so filtering was key to her success while for men it was ensuring women would let him sleep with them. Whore is a gendered insult like ma…

I’m just giving examples. Since men are more visual women will lie that way more. Flattering dress, makeup, plastic surgery etc. men are assessing genetic quality and health - none of those things improve that so women will lie to attract better mates. A boob job hijacks signals to men that able to feed kids and fertile while not actually providing that benefit. Makeup shows beautiful but that’s not real and won’t be passed to kids

I agree that the above would be misandrist using the current broad way misogyny is used today. I’d argue it shouldn’t be though. Hating an entire gender is really a trauma psychological infliction to be looked into via therapy. Macro / sociological issues of gender are potentially different. People of both genders do some bad things and since genders can have competing interests there can be conflict
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:31 AM

My experience confirms to this statement
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:28 AM
1

I think this is exactly the issue with the word these days - misogyny gets thrown around way too flippantly. If a guy is laughed at by random girls for being short, are the girls being misandrists? Most would just say they’re being mean. Your approach would prefer to construe it into a gender based hate crime called misandry which it might be. If it is though it must be applied equally and you’ll see if it is that misandry happens just as much aka thesis of post
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:28 AM

Men are visual and less verbal than women. Because women care more about what man says it opens avenue up for men to lie verbally. Both sexed lie to increase sexual fitness though. Women will lie about sexual partners, undying love for guy, not with him for wrong reasons, makeup, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:23 AM

Yeah feels like men are more like dogs and women like cats. Dogs are pack animals that form status hierarchies. They are more loyal and work on behalf of owner (females). Cats are all doing their own thing looking for others to cater to them with less loyalty. In women’s defense think about it evolutionarily - men that developed traits of not being loyal to women and children had less chance of children succeeding while women abandoning man who couldn’t protect and provide would increase success…

I think women are just better liars. They can lie to themselves which allows lies to go undetected more plus they are typically socially and emotionally more intelligent so find it easier to lie but also to pick up on lies. Lastly my guess is women also lie more on behalf of women as a whole while men lie for their own personal benefit. For example maybe years ago women lied to men about being weak or victim to get men to do things for them etc.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:12 AM

I think the issue is your views are being filtered through a female lens / bias that relates to what is best for your gender. I’m sure men do the same thing so I guess compromise is key.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:12 AM
1

It’s more obligations forced by other gender. Imagine a guy you’re with unilaterally decides they want to be a house husband. The result: you are now given a liability and obligation to go work to protect and provide for the individual. If you tell them they need to work they’ll claim your sexist and if you keep playing that role they’ll also tell you you’re sexist - depending which outcome suits them best in that socioeconomic / technological environment.

Would a man 3000 years ago be able to choose to stay home with kids? No because doing so would mean women would then have to be willing to risk their life and health protecting and providing for a man which they wouldn’t do but if they were forced to it wouldn’t feel so free to them
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 06:56 AM

I’m imagining a guy 3000 years ago telling the women in his village he wants to not work and stay home to raise kids. They would not mate with him and they would not go out to risk their body and lives to protect and provide for him so he’d just die. Ergo, forced to do the couple of available dangerous and difficult jobs men were allowed and able to do. There life wasn’t that much unlike women. Life was hard and bad historically. If you want to use the lack of freedom definition of oppression sure, but freedom isn’t the end all be all. I could go live by myself on a desert island and be completely free to run around naked and have no rules, but would my life be better? No. Women gained something in the past by being dependent on men which was men providing them with protection and provision in a really harsh unsafe world (weather, disease, wild animals, limited resources competition etc). The world has changed and women …

I don’t understand how that’s relevant. As I mentioned above, men are more violent in general than women. It’s part of what makes men attractive to them because women know they can leverage men’s capacity for violence to hunt for food, kill competing tribes, build a hut for her, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 06:26 AM
1

That is a female centric view of oppression. Women’s struggle is to find men to support them without giving up independence. So when they look at oppression they see it as how to get same benefits of protection and provision while keeping independence which is exactly feminisms goal. Men have opposite situation - they hate how they’re forced to be independent and have others rely on them and want to be able to be dependent on someone else. The ideal is in the middle which we are working toward a…

It’s not unique to women for the government to have control over a genders bodies. Men are uniquely forced to sacrifice their body via the draft while women aren’t. I am against both instances. Abortion should be legal for women and men (financial abortion) and the draft should not exist but if it has to the both genders drafted for all roles. That’s the most egalitarian approach
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 04:02 AM

There’s a law in that country that says you can murder a woman but not a man? If so that’s messed up and sexist. Laws should strive to be gender neutral as best as possible
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:50 AM

I don’t understand why you assign men so much more agency than women. Men had the same amount of ability to voluntarily do their gender role as women - which was not much for either.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 01:43 AM

You act like everything existed when we first inhabited this earth. We had nothing. Women chose to mate with men who succeeded and built a better world for themselves and children. Without women seeking this in mates we’d all just still live in huts and there would be no financial system created by men to hand the keys to women to through their social movements
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 01:29 AM

I think it is a big deal for women. Women’s main evolutionary advantage of choosing who they mate with would be negated with poor genetic quality and a mate that doesn’t commit protection and provision so arguably worst thing that could happen to them in caveman times. Even though effects of it are mostly gone now I understand why evolved to psychologically respond same way. But just because bad for women doesn’t mean it is for men - a man would probably not find that to be as bad of an outcome.…

Power structure of society is a gender role. Men were forced to do the dirty work outside the home (war, hunting, ensuring things run well, etc). Men would do so in the best interests of women and children ideally (of course not always though as humans aren’t perfect)

Just because something is bad doesn’t mean it’s relatively worse than what their brother has to go through. Both sound equally shitty. To be told you’re a man at 12 and have to either work a physically demanding job or be handed a gun to defend tribe both sound scary and physically dangerous
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 01:21 AM

Global post: There seems be a lot of returning to gender based violence against women as the trump card so thought I’d share my thoughts on this. If a man murders a woman how do we know if it’s “because she’s a woman”. If a man went out into world and sought to murder people in general they’d murder thoughly 50% of men and 50% of women but we actually see see men murder men at like 80%+ of those they murder. One could argue men murdered more men because they’re men (a man is more competition for…

Men call random guys dicks all the time. I don’t see how doing the same to women is hating their gender. Sounds like they’re more sensitive than men and / or play victim mentality. Men are very mean to eachother - if they act mean to women they’re just giving you a taste of equality because historically men have been nicer to women than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 11:22 PM
1

I guess both? Men do have the capability of creating a safe and abundant world for women. And yes though women aren’t physically violent - they do their damage through proxy fights and parasitic behavior. Women sought to be dependent on males who would protect and provide implicitly creating a gender role for men whether they wanted it or not. Such gender role kills men.

If that man committed exact same crime against a male instead of a female victim he’d get less punishment. Look up the studies that conclusively prove this. If you want to go deeper in rabbit hole you’d find even more disparity between male or female perpetrators

I am not following. Men are more violent in general. The fact that some (less than toward men at least) is directed to women means they specifically hate women? I don’t see how those two connect. Women and men both enjoy the benefits and costs of men’s gift here. The fact that some women suff…

Very true. Many men are simply following orders of women. One women screams in guys ear to make more money. He makes more money but other woman screaming he makes more than her. Like bro guys just want to make girls happy. Exactly. It’s weird how people can realize they’d rather stay as women and also claim men have it better. I do not get the sense they do. I think feminism paints them a distorted picture of men’s perceived “privileges” but that’s about it

This and also the level of concern society has for their problems / discomfort (empathy gap), having option not to work, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 02:40 PM
1

I was actually recently thinking about that. Feminism is a lot like anti-semitism where a group is so privileged they can’t be criticized and play up a victim narrative to society to enforce their power I think it makes sense in that like women Jews were historically physically weaker so needed to rely on more manipulation

/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 02:24 PM

But wanting to use women’s bodies doesn’t mean men “hate” women either. It’s more neutral indifference and trying to get off. I think the core issue of my post is how loosely we currently use the word misogyny. Many women use it not to mean hate of women but just any statement or circumstance they disagree with
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 02:13 PM

Right but why would you say that’s the case?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 01:28 PM

Feel like it’s well established men are more violent than women irrespective of who they hate. Also men are more violent toward men than women so what you’re saying doesn’t even correlate a ton outside special cases with hating women.

Those are not the same things. It is true a short poor man can live a great life though not guaranteed but it does decrease their sexual market value all things being equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 11:53 PM

Abuse as defined by them. A man could claim it’s abuse they need to protect and provide for females historically and now women are the historical oppressors / abusers.

I said nothing about women being able to live whatever life they choose. Just stating that youth is sexually attractive to men. Women can live great lives despite that of course and even use modern technology to appear younger etc. also more to life than maximizing sexual attractiveness. just saying that all your statements do not dispute fact that youth is sexually attracted to men on its own
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 06:27 PM

No the response is the hypocrisy. The same people who hate sexism the most are being sexist by their own definition.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 06:24 PM

Women are always able to hookup. They will always have more access to casual sex. That doesn’t negate that all things being equal the same woman has relatively less sexual market value as she gets older
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:45 PM

Agree to disagree here
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:41 PM

I truly believe if you said this statement before feminism men would agree and find ways to protect women from rapists etc. on an intellectual discussion in modern era, to me it seems men have been raised hearing feminism as predominant way of thinking so intellectually see the dissonance and contradictions and get more mad vs at that. If we generalized negatively about women publicly I feel confident men would accept same course for men including bear thing
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:39 PM

Agreed. The equivalent would be saying women only care about status / resources / strength / height.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:34 PM

Most women extract resources from men outside of prostitution. Women do better in less explicit situations as they are better at manipulation. Most women will seek to extract resources through hijacking societal norms and through everyday means like government and through everyday interactions with men / marriage. Prostitution is a last ditch effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:33 PM

That is exactly it. I mean women do also look for genetic quality of man as well, but resources are 100% in the equation somewhere. I’m not implying they are conscious of it. They don’t consciously think about how guys height makes them think he can protect and provide they just know like height with no further explanation. Same for men who like youth or wide hips.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:30 PM

There are always exceptions. Plenty of poor short men get married, but that doesn’t negate fact that in general poor short men have less sexual market value…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 05:27 PM

My personal experience says gay men are way less picky than heterosexual women for casual sex but maybe others can chime in
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 04:48 PM

Referring to any generalization related to gender
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 04:17 PM

Each sex has negative evolutionary aspects. Same as a short or poor man not being loved by women. It’s unfortunate but is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 04:16 PM

Only hurt about double standards. Women come out claiming all these double standards and inequality so only natural for us to point out they do same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 04:12 PM

Very rare. I know it doesn’t ever happen. If I were a male, I’d be more afraid of going to jail for seeking to fulfill my biological drive and harming women in process than as a women doing same. I would have very little fear of jail being a women seeking to fulfill my drive at expense of men - though there may be other consequences.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 04:10 PM

Well women are trying to extract resources in a crude sense. Just as when a guy is attracted to and woos a girl romantically he is trying to “plant his seed”. It’s the same thing. Women are not as visual because harder to assess of guy has resources through just visual and if she can extract them (he will commit). Not being more or less crude to either gender we are just biologically driven creatures
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 04:07 PM

But I realize what you’re saying is the natural order of things. Women weaponizing their perceived weakness in men’s eyes so they give them more privileges is obviously not new otherwise they’d have killed all the women like they did to all the men who were small and offered no skills to tribe.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:50 PM

If by dominate you mean they are the conduits of dispensing protection and provision to women and children then yes. It’s a gender role men do not want to be forced into but are (just like women). In fact, if we took the same level of empathy for women that created feminism and applied it to men you’d see the exact same complaints can be made on men’s side. If by dominant you meant in a better life or stronger leveraging position then no.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:49 PM

Great - thank you for bringing science and logic to discussion. I agree on why that occurs. I guess the follow up though. Biology can explain a lot including why many of the things women complain about exist. So if a women perceives something like men are terrible or something is risky. The ideal next step would be to be self aware it’s biology speaking (filter mechanism that used to have utility) or inherent risk aversion of females (used to be evolutionarily advantageous) to not offload the is…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:43 PM

I was referring to gay men sorry if that wasn’t clear
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:41 PM

Well that’s part of the answer to why OPs observation exists
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:39 PM

I know you said it. I’m asking how / why it’s different?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:36 PM

Has a women ever been put in jail for seeking to fulfill her biological drive of extracting resources from men even if by feminine manipulation? I know plenty of men who have been put in jail for trying to fulfill their drive of procreation in unsavory ways
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:34 PM

Why exactly do generalizations impact women more? I realize they may self-report it as harming them more but that doesn’t mean it does which is main point of OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:32 PM

Just to add. Every generalization is positive and negative. Men more violent yes. This is due to men having more “capability to physically alter external world” than women. Just as men are more capable of destruction they are also more capable of construction in physical world. If you want to point to genders negative side of a trait (men commit more murder) just keep in mind you have to be willing to accept the flip side (men create societies and buildings and everything you see). You can’t tak…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:30 PM

Bear: men are more violent than women (yes statistically true) Passport bros: women prefer wealthier men and don’t benefit from things western women offer so men go where more valued (biologically true) Age gap: yes men prefer younger women (biologically true) I don’t think most men would disagree with any of these things? They might disagree in way you phrased it though as the words used seemed weird though
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:28 PM

A few posters have mentioned it. Combination of biological psychological and social factors that favor women’s concerns and problems over men’s
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:23 PM

Is that different from usual? I’m new here
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:22 PM

Yes - they are very smart. Evolutionarily it makes sense. Due to being physically weaker they maybe had to develop the ability to manipulate men and society to their benefit.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:18 PM

Weird how people are unable to see this fact
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:17 PM

If I had time today I’d respond with a complete essay tearing it apart. Seems so obviously false I thought maybe that statement could make them engage in self-aware objective reasoning but if not maybe I’ll come back and respond at a later date.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:15 PM

Silence women? History is essentially just simp men bowing to what women want. Women ask to not work and for us to build huts - “yes dear” now women want to work - “yes dear”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:14 PM

That’s the exact point though. All generalizations “just are”. We humans put meaning behind the statement. The OP is correct to say that the sexes may interpret and react differently to gender equivalent statements differently. I tell men they seek young women due to sexual evolution. “Oh makes sense sometimes true but I can rise above it bc xyz” I tell a woman you seek men for their resources due to evolution (I’d argue flip side of exact gender dimorphism as above) “that’s sexist women are ind…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 03:08 PM

Obviously true. I guess it’s just the way it is and always will be. We can’t force biology and women to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:59 PM

The only vitriol was due to woke movement. Men don’t care. We have had gender roles and sexism our whole lives. We didn’t force women to stop relying on us or fend for themselves, we let you do it yourselves once ready. We just always hear about double standards that and unequal that from women, we are more in our pointing out phase to you guys to help you become aware of how we see your woke stuff. Otherwise we don’t care.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:57 PM
1

Why is it not biology exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:55 PM

What is the exact generalization being made in those instances? Disagreeing with a women’s stance on life decisions is different from what OP was referring to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:52 PM

Every generalization has pros and cons. Yes - you’re right that men tend to accept reality and make the most of it though. Maybe because they have to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:50 PM

And how is this different from when women make generalizations exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:48 PM

Wow good stuff man. I think you’re on to something
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:48 PM

Women are very smart. They have more social emotional and spiritual power than men. - always have. Our advantage physically doesn’t help much these days in balancing power
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:47 PM

This is the reason it occurs. However, given feminism is supposedly about rising above biological instinct for equality you’d think they’d be doing more to fix this…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:46 PM

Sounds reasonable
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:45 PM

I wonder if a gay man would find 80% of men overall unattractive. My guess would be no. Are these men really that bad or is it more just perception?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:44 PM

Literally every statement can be construed either way. Like if one says women only care about money, a woman can construe that as how society caters to making sure women are protected or provided for (aka there are pluses and minuses to each gender role)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:41 PM

That’s the whole point. When observations are stated about men, they tend to respond to the statement in a nuanced way per OP while when similar statement made about women they tend to view it as an attack and not respond to statement with reasons true or not true. In this way I agree with the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:40 PM

Wait really this is your response? Reread what you just wrote sir
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:38 PM

Yeah that’s just not true sorry
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 02:36 PM

It’s due to the coddling of women and inherent victim mentality society allows them to have. It leads to the famous quote by Jack Nicholson “I think of a man, and I take away all reason and accountability”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 01:53 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
