| 6 | Why do so many women now have children outside of marriage? Does it matter?I have a child with my boyfriend, we're unmarried but we do have a relationship of 6 years. I am against marriage for different reasons, first of all a wedding is expensive for something I find unnecesary. Second I refuse to lose my own name, even tho you now have a choice to keep your name, many people would still assume you have taken over your husbands name when they find out you're married.
