Yasss! Call it out! So happy it’s not just me seeing this!! I gotta add “Love is Blind” to your list. I also want to give Lifetime an honorable mention with “Married at First Sight.”

The first time he told me. He slept with some woman he knew because I couldn’t meet up with him that night due to a flair up of a medical condition I developed due to a traumatic experience (of which he was aware and later exploited to his benefit to further lower my self esteem). When I finally dumped him (I stayed longer than I should have to finish out our lease and make sure he didn’t screw up my credit and rental history. It also took some time to rebuild my self esteem and get an escape pl…

Here's the story in case anyone's interested: https://www.wtvr.com/news/local-news/mother-daughter-donate-thousands-of-dumped-pennies-to-domestic-abuse-center Smh. What grown man worth his salt would do something like this?

😱 🤦🏾‍♀️ Ma'am, we don't give up dreams for men. And, law school admissions cycles are wonky so don't bet on replicating those law school acceptances next year! I went to school with men and women whose spouses (men and women) followed them there because that's what real couples do. What are the odds that he applied for medical school where she applied for law school? Probably pretty low...🤦🏾‍♀️

I agree! I wear my natural hair out now because of the pandemic, and I don't care what people think anymore. I'm sure I've shocked some colleagues on virtual meetings, but I always look cute! I'm amazed at how some black men dislike our natural hair for their own dumb personal reasons (e.g., self hate), have the nerve to tell us they dislike it, and have the nerve to expect us to change. Whatever, haters 👋🏾 Wear your 👑, sis! *Edited: Typos. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Girl, just go on and pause and/or delete that app. I did it and it's liberating! Smh at that profile! At least he wrote in complete sentences (he totally misspelled photos but that's the least alarming part of his profile).

Yep! And, it feels great to say that! We are awesome but we are still human. I'm so glad that more sisters are saying "enough" and putting energy into things that will produce good fruit!

This 👏🏾 right👏🏾 here 👏🏾 Black women have done and continue to do MORE than enough for everyone but get the least respect. Plus, men like Kanye and Lil' Wayne give men of all races, especially black men, the green light to degrade us. Naw, black women are out here bettering ourselves, supporting black owned businesses in our communities, and holding down the HV black men who love and support black women. Kanye and black celebrity men like him need to help themselves.

Oh the misogyny, racism, and shaming of our larger sisters! Last time I checked, adult men know how to say what they want or like without putting down entire groups of women! Plus, why spend time on that when you're supposed to be selling yourself Mr. "Professional at Corporation"?

Virtual hug I am so sorry this happened to you. Keep focusing on yourself, getting therapy, and moving forward. He was beyond wrong for what he did, but don't focus on that at this point. You need all of your energy for you and your growth. Make sure you are resting and focusing on all of the good things you have going for you. Healing takes time and it will happen as along as you keep working towards it. You will get through this and be so much happier without him.

Yep! Especially after that other post about that LVM on Divorce Court cheating on his fiance and expecting her to pay 50% of the bills because he was paying 100% of his side chick's bills. 👋🏾

This is terrible. I am speechless. LVMs do not grow up! That middle aged LVM took years of that woman's life and sounded like she did not mean anything to him even though they were engaged and about to marry. She ignored all the red flags that were staring her in the face and had to find out the truth from the other woman. Never. Stop. Vetting.

That dude is a NO! Kevin Samuel (KS) gives TRASH advice to women because he's a misogynist! No one should listen to him! He degrades women and tells them to lower their standards to satisfy LVM/NVM entitlement! And money by itself doesn't make a man a HVM while having children doesn't make a woman a LVW. KS and this dude need to stay single and dateless until they learn how to respect ALL women.

Yeah...no. That study had a small sample size from Switzerland. Try that here in the US and holla back at me. I hate all of this story and the who gets their plates first arguments I have heard lately. If I fix a meal by myself then I decide who gets to eat first if I feel like fixing anyone a plate, if ever. We do buffet style at my family gatherings, btw, and I plan on continuing that. And if I have young children they get to eat first because I am fixing their plates (duh). Were the husband's fingers broken? Was he injured? Was he up there helping her cook or get the meal served? When did the wife ea…

So he expects respect for serving in the armed forces, but demeans a woman who has mask marks on her face from serving us during a pandemic along with women with cats and women in general? facepalm I am not even surprised. He is yet another reason for women to put veterans through extreme vetting or not date them at all.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/12/20 02:24 PM
221

If he really did that, he is sick. Even if he just wrote that to be funny something is wrong with him. Seriously, no woman should be around a man who thinks like this. He turned a frontline worker during a pandemic into a fantasy object to which he masterbated and tweeted about it?! Smh!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/12/20 02:42 AM

I agree! I quit OLD partially for this reason. IMO, they do it on purpose thinking that we'll like them so much that we'll overlook a whole human being with half their DNA and the potential baby momma drama. They are worse than the dads who use pictures with their children's actual faces on their profiles.

There are so many things wrong with his statement. So. Many. 1) We are not your cooks. 2) Many of us work, go to school, take care of children, take care of relatives, volunteer, etc., so we are not sitting around reading romance novels and eating bonbons. Plus, if a woman wants to read those novels and eat bonbons in her spare time to relax why can't she? It's her life and her time. 3) Many of us had to learn how to make at least basic meals for ourselves because our parents made us because we …

I don't understand why we are supposed to "keep ourselves up" and many of them are not doing the same. If I care about my diet and my appearance (among other things) and put time and money into myself, then they can too if they want to date me.

"Alex has made me more empathetic, more understanding and more generous of spirit. What she has done ― after my lifetime of living the life of the narcissistic predator ― is make me more human (emphasis added)." Um WHAT?!!! Is this why he divorced/discarded his first wife? And her mother co-signed this?!🚩🚩🚩 galore! I hope someone teaches her about narcissists and she runs before they have children.

I completely agree! My abusive ex knew how to turn on his charm with others and how to flip out with me in an instant! He also punched a door and put a hole in a wall in my apartment and wrecked my car by "accident" while turning into a popular coffee chain (both of which I had to pay for and the latter occurred while I had pneumonia).

That's my general rule, but I will now consider 7 years younger (if old boy is really mature) and a MAX of 5 years older because the older guys I have seen online and met in person tend to be jacked up.

I am in the same boat for the similar reasons. No more men with children and preferably no more divorced men for me now. IMO, while they were able to commit, they didn't vet their ex properly and/or they were way too immature to have a spouse or family. It's one thing to be in a serious relationship. It's a whole other ballgame to have a family, have it fall apart, and then expect someone, usually a child free woman, to accept all the issues that come with it along with that man's own separate i…

🤯 Did I just read that correctly? I had to pick up my jaw off the floor. They (that woman on the chain and the current gf) need to run, block, and delete! This dude is not serious about his current gf and needs to be by himself. That's some nerve!

This makes me so mad. He cannot ever pressure her to forgive him for this betrayal. That is for her to work through by herself in her time. And, I am inclined to think that he "forgave" himself so quickly because he didn't see anything wrong with what he did. It's faux forgiveness to further manipulate her. He's not gonna change. Sis needs to run and never look back.

Girl, I think it's narcissism (or worse). It's sad. I got into law to help people but many, especially the guys, get it in for power (in society and/or over others), wealth, and prestige. It's not all male attorneys (or attorneys in general), but it's more than enough to deter me from dating them. Plus, I think a number of the "bad apples" are misogynistic and don't respect or value women because they can pull more women due to their incomes to replace the one(s) they lose.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/12/20 10:49 PM

I agree! I am a lawyer and I refuse to date other lawyers for this reason. My friend was led on for 2 years by an anesthesiologist who ended it after he had a huge professional come up as well.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/12/20 09:43 PM

Girl, it goes hand in hand with their narcissism.

I hope this means that she'll take this time to evaluate the situation, decide that she does not want to be the forever fiancé (he was previously engaged to a woman who had his child that he now bad mouths and says is "jealous" of Jeannie. This is what we call a huge 🚩), and runs.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/12/20 07:12 PM
21

I agree! I feel so badly for his wife! I don't know these people, but she totally deserves better than a husband who spends more time thinking about his "what ifs" and writing about them on Reddit instead of seeing how awesome she is, treating her well, and why he should feel grateful, blessed, etc., to have her in his life. Smh!

Girl, say that! It's like they (LVMs) don't want much besides an eating buddy, but we all know they want so much more without giving much (if anything) in return.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/11/20 04:27 PM

Yep! And I will add learning that he has no close friends nearby and/or is kind of a loner. It means that he has few people to hold him accountable for things in all aspects of his life.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/11/20 07:04 AM
27

I will add that I run when a guy lists on his profile something to the effect of he'll fall for you if you cook him X, Y and/or z or just cook period. I'm not your cook. You should be able to make whatever is on your profile yourself. If that's all it takes for him to fall for me or any woman then that tells me that he's not looking for a partner to enhance or value. He's looking for what he and he alone is getting out of the deal (e.g. free home cooked food).

So I preface this with a disclaimer that this is only based on my experiences (I have a 3 strike rule) and advice from others. It is not meant to offend but to make me and my friends really vet who we date so I apologize in advance. My automatic dismissals: *Attorneys - I have seen/encountered a number of narcissists or worse in law school and beyond, some of whom are terrifying and in high powered positions. We are also known for having alcoholism and substance abuse problems due to job stress.…
