No terrorist attacks, but what impact have their actions had on society and the self esteem of young men?

Women change a lot more after having children than men do. Women’s personalities change a lot more during the course of their lives than men’s. There’s the old adage that women marry women expecting that they’ll change. Men marry women expecting that they won’t.

Easier said than done. Usually this type of behavior presents itself much later. After a few years and a few kids. The stakes of divorce are so much higher for men. If men were treated fairly in divorce they leave more. But it’s telling that women are almost always the ones who file.

I’ve never read that sub but it wouldn’t be surprising. Women believe they are the default parent and men are just accessories. They feel entitled to be experts on all things — including what it’s like to be a teenage boy. Men aren’t allowed to have an opinion on abortion but women would gladly dismiss a man’s opinion on circumcision because they know everything about parenting.

I would think this article would be offensive to women. It implies (or outright states) that women sell their bodies to men they don’t love based on their financial resources. Men don’t think like that. They marry for love

This is of course Anthony Weiner’s chest, and as you can see, the landscape is meticulously tended. I mean, he has called the exterminator and made sure the weeds are dead and gone. Did she not even know what an exterminator does? Hint: they don’t kill weeds.

Almost 100% off everything human kind has accomplished has been because of men. By “accomplished” I don’t mean simply waking up, eating, and procreating. Almost every advancement, invention, discovery, triumph and success has been by men

…and she often cuts our sons' hair against my will. This is a great example of female entitlement. Imagine the shit storm that would ensue if you took your daughter to get her hair cut to your liking against your wife’s will. She’s the “default” parent and believes her wishes are superior to yours.

Exactly. They want men to stay away from them, but they won’t accept being separated from our money and labor. They go on and on about “emotional labor” while conveniently ignoring the actual hard, back breaking, dangerous labor that men do 95% of.

If women are allowed to withhold sex. Men should be allowed to withhold finances. I’ve never understood why alimony only applies to money. If she’s grown accustomed to having my money, then I’ve also grown accustomed to having her body. Sex should be part of the alimony agreement too. And don’t say gross, bodily autonomy is different. I have to use my body to work to earn my money. It’s the same.

Yes women are like men in that they have preferences. That’s fine. The difference, as you pointed out, is that the government actively supports women exercising those choices by providing a safety net. Men’s preferences are scorned as misogynistic.

Nothing makes women madder than someone expressing this opinion but it’s true: women want to fuck assholes. They constantly act shocked when that playboy with 150 notches on his bedpost doesn’t want to commit to her. But why should he? One day in the future women will convince themselves that polygamy is fine because about 50 women all want this one guy’s dna for their children. They’d rather share Chad than settle for a normal nice guy

Ugh so much misogyny. /s I agree with absolutely everything you’ve said. We constantly hear that if you aren’t “exclusive” then everything is fair. No. I’m with you. When I start dating someone it’s just them. I don’t play this “well we weren’t exclusive yet, so I’m still fucking 3 other guys” game. And the most insulting part, as you’ve pointed out, is they see nothing at all wrong with the behavior and can’t conceive of a man dumping her because of it.

Honestly, what op said, is also kind of offensive to women. I don't want to be viewed as a victim just based on my gender. It’s offensive to YOU, but don’t speak for all women. Many, maybe even most, bask in their victimhood status. It gives them power over men, their oppressors

A long time ago, couples preferred to have baby boys because they would grow up to help defend and take care of the family farm. Now, society has provided resource safety nets and become safer so we don’t need men anymore. Men aren’t needed to carry on the family name since women stopped taking their husbands names. Men have become superfluous because society decided that taking care of women was a societal goal rather than an individual man’s job. Technology is making men unnecessary and now we…

When Harry finally wakes up, that family bridge will be so burned it’ll be too late. She’s using him for her own fame and enrichment and he’s a willing pawn. Plus, she’s a shining beacon of hope to all older, divorced women that they too deserve their own Prince. “He’s out there waiting for me! I know he is if I hold out long enough!” Why did that fool buy the used up older cow when he was a freaking prince and could have had almost any woman in the world he wanted.

Thank you for your further explanation! I think the family they left behind should absolutely be considered -- including the sons and brothers of the deceased, not just the wives and daughters -- as they are no doubt suffering too. It's just an all around sad situation.
/r/MensRights23/06/23 08:39 PM

I’m not the least bit surprised it was the first thing that came to your mind. It’s par for the course. The suffering of men is irrelevant compared to what women suffer. The first question is: “how did this impact women?” whenever anything bad happens.

What a fucked up story. The defense attorney blamed the victim for using marijuana saying he contributed to the problem. When the judge asked for proof, they couldn’t give any. Why would it even matter? This is the same as asking what a rape accuser was wearing that night. The average woman has absolutely zero chance in a physical conflict with the average man. And because of that, society, the justice system, other men, the media are all lined up to defend women. A man has absolutely no chance in a social or legal conflict with the average woman, and even in a physical conflict, there a great chance that people will come immediately to her aid. Men have many reasons to be guarded and even afraid of the wrath of a woman. But they get ridiculed when they express it…
/r/MensRights15/06/23 11:08 PM

Women are far more audacious in confronting men than other men are. They know there’s a huge probability there will be no consequences to it. Pretending to be afraid is a great way to control men. They “quiver” when a man raises his voice so he has to always guard against expressing his emotions. And she’s bottled him up and has the upper hand.

Absolutely agree. Protect the alleged victim? Protect the alleged assailant too. That’s the only way to prevent being convicted in the court of public opinion before any evidence is even presented under oath. It is a hard crime to prove, no doubt. But I don’t know of any other way for it to be handled. No person deserves to be sent to jail without it being proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they did it. Better for guilty parties to go free than innocent parties to go to prison.

It seems to me the fastest way to undermine these groups is for men to form their own men-only Facebook groups to discuss women they’ve dated. Ok thanks for proving the point of this thread. Women demand that men speak out against men who criticize women at all but have no problem supporting (or at least keeping their mouths shut about) extreme feminist viewpoints. Men aren’t allowed to comment on women or else they are misogynists but women are free to talk about men all day long. Be better, women.

They are overall not supportive of his message. Now kindly direct me to the post of women condemning Handler for her garbage

I can find LOTS of posts on here and public comments from men condemning Tate. Men do a pretty good job of pointing out bullshit of other men. Women have much greater solidarity for each other
/r/MensRights11/05/23 02:10 PM

No this is feminism. The fact that she can make such a statement and not be canceled, not be shouted down by other women, proves they are fine with this branch of feminism. It’s accepted. It’s not something they all like to say out loud maybe, but they all feel entitled to speak about men’s bodies and know that not a damn thing will happen to them if they do. This is feminism. Where’s the public backlash from women about this?

I disagree. That “non zero number of innocent MEN” who you acknowledge are getting punished in public opinion would benefit greatly from this policy.
/r/MensRights09/05/23 07:40 PM

It’s always different. There’s never an applicable analogy when dealing with feminists. There’s always some reason why doing the exact same thing to men is ok when doing it to women is evil.
/r/MensRights09/05/23 03:47 PM
2

The best way to handle this is to take “innocent until proven guilty” to heart, for once. They protect the identity of the accuser but plaster the accused’s name and face all over the front page. BOTH identities should be kept private until there’s been an adjudication of guilt. Then the id should get broadcast for all to see, whether it’s a rapist or a false accuser. It’s time there was some parity in the way the sexes are being treated.
/r/MensRights09/05/23 02:58 PM
41

Either way is bad. But a rape victim who doesn’t get justice gets lavished with sympathy and resources to recover. A false rape accusation victim gets scorned and ostracized and hated.

By what power did women compel this behavior, LOL? It’s only the goodness of men that made that change. And frankly, it was a pretty big mistake if the last 100 years is any indication.
/r/MensRights08/05/23 05:29 PM

No. Men didn’t have to ever allow women to vote but did so because they decided it was the right thing to do. Women didn’t force men to do anything. Men taketh and men giveth. Don’t pretend women made it happen by themselves

Potayto Potahto. If you vote for a hawk for president, don’t be surprised if they get you into a war. If you vote for a dove for president, don’t be surprised if they do anything possible to avoid a war. You do have the right to vote and it can directly lead to a war or no war.

Fine. The right wasn’t given. The previous withheld right of women’s suffrage was no longer withheld from women … by men.
/r/MensRights08/05/23 04:03 PM

The idea that women took the right to vote is absurd. How did they do that? Certainly not at the ballot box. Men gave women the right to vote because they were the only ones with power at that time. You can be mad at the time before Women’s suffrage if you want, but concocting some fiction that women forced men to give them the vote is silly.

I thought about 40 years ago we were heading into an imminent ice age and over population. Now the earth is about to catch on fire and the population is dying out. Scientists, make up your minds. We have to adjust the chair.

As hard as it is to accept, yeah, we probably did cause all that. Because we allowed it to happen and helped women reinforce it on other men. We did it to ourselves. The last 100 years have been sliding in the totally wrong direction. Ever since Women’s suffrage it’s been all down hill

I didn’t say all young women are uncomplicated and fun, but on the whole they are more so than older women. Older women have baggage and responsibilities, which is understandable. The problem is older women anger quickly, nag way more, and lose their adventurous spirit.

Bullshit! Women are not held accountable for cheating on men or lying about rape AT ALL! The very first thing a woman says upon meeting a man and his baby is “they look just like you!” Every single time. I think this is instinctive in women to cover for their sisters just in case the baby isn’t his. When a women cheats and has a bastard baby, women always tell the man to “think of the child” and “man up, that baby needs a father”. Never any scorn or blame at all on the woman. The truly guilty pa…

One thing I’ve noticed on here and in real life, is that everyone says they would never cheat. And yet here we are. In a world half full of cheaters. I’m not saying you personally would ever cheat. I’m just saying many of the people who say they would never cheat are lying. Simply saying it means very little, even saying it to your partner.

There’s definitely a hive mind on Reddit. When you see an idea expressed once, you’ll see it expressed over and over again. An example: the first time I heard anything on Reddit about “stealthing” a couple of years ago the response was something like “oh boy, that doesn’t seem right. I wonder if that might even be considered some kind of sexual assault?” Now when there’s a mention of stealthing, the first 100 responses are “That’s straightup rape! You need to file a police report!!!!!” I’m not s…

That’s the big difference between men and women. I, and almost every other guy, will happily tell you how great it is being a guy. There are many advantages we enjoy in this world. I love being a guy. But there are lots of negatives too. I acknowledge the bad and good. But to women, everything is pure pain. They will never tell you they have it better than men about anything. They simply must be the victim in each and every way. If you dare to point out that they have some kind of privilege abou…

No this sub is fighting back against societal changes that have been imposed on men. This sub would never have existed 25 or 50 years ago because it would have been entirely unnecessary. The idea of men being discriminated against would have been laughable. But now it’s become commonplace and here we are discussing ways in which men are being held down and mistreated.

Social media, in general, including Reddit, will be the end of this world. Communication is good, usually, but the ability to insulate ourselves into echo chambers and get radicalized into the most extreme thoughts with like minded individuals who we would never have otherwise interacted with is horrible for mankind. That’s not a knock on this sub at all. I think this sub is a reaction to the others

But the whole ‘believe all women’ attitude is what allows something like this to take root. If that goes public he believed he would be going to jail and lose all his friends and family. The ‘hostile environment’ is what allowed this to happen.

Let me see, let me see… uh, this never happens because women never lie. And even if they do, one real rape not being prosecuted is much worse than 1,000 false rape accusations. Guys just don’t understand how bad it is. Statistically speaking, he probably raped someone else anyway. Does that about cover the expected feminist response?

It’s the struggle between individual happiness and societal well being. People used to value a well functioning society and were willing to accept some personal discomfort in furtherance of that goal. This is what traditional family values were. Women married young and filled a role in the home. They were loyal (for the most part) and accepted their lot in life. Men worked hard and set aside their own goals to take care of their families. They were the protectors and the burden holders. Was ever…

They’ll never connect those dots. The fault lies with men. Unequivocally and completely. There is no way they will be able to objectively analyze their own behavior and conclude they did anything wrong. They’ll just start sharing Chads and Chad will have 100 babies by 100 baby mamas. I was basically in flagrante delicto in my car with a girl when I was in high school when a cop rolled up on us. She was 16 and I was 17. The cop was amazingly cool about it considering how much trouble I COULD have been in. And the cop was a woman! This was way back in the 1980’s. She asked the girl if she was a minor and she said she was. I immediately piped up that I was too! But she didn’t seem too impressed. She didn’t call my folks or hers. I dodged a huge bullet.

It happens when a male, usually older but not always, holds the lift door open for me to enter before him. I smile politely while doing an internal dance of, “chivalry is good”, “chivalry is outdated”, debating whether or not to enter the lift first. How ironic that her action trying to be polite (smiling) is fine but his act (holding the door) is offensive. Traditions are flexible things. The tradition that guys must spend 2 months salary on a ring for their women for marriage? Nonnegotiable. The tradition that women take their man’s last name for marriage? Neanderthal and insulting. Tradition isn’t a cafeteria plan. You don’t get to pick and choose which ones you like. If you require men to adhere to traditions then you must do the same.

Catcalling isn’t threatening. “Hey pretty lady!” Who does that hurt? Blocking the path is the most obvious threatening maneuver. If I get in front of you and don’t let you pass then it would be frightening indeed. Following is tough because what’s the difference between “following” and merely walking the same direction? If you pair catcalling with following then we can establish internet. Or catcalling with blocking the path
