Exactly. The media is already making excuses for this pedophile.

Even the content of the article is dismissive. There is almost no detail, as if the editors did not find it worth the page space. I suppose the picture is a mugshot, but it looks very sympathetic to the rapist. Hey, ABC 15, "providing sex"? Really? How about "Pedophile repeated rapes and drugs young boy"? And how did she gain access to the child? Is she a registered sex offender? A little news, please.

I'm astounded at how many "false flag" attacks were made against men's groups in the article. The author labels entire groups of men as having hateful viewpoints, when that's not at all correct. MGTOW is not about hating women. It's just more negative generalization of a sex and therefore sexist (mysandrist) propaganda.

Agree. Most people are smart enough to know when they're being fed some BS. This acquaintance would likely have exited the friendship eventually anyhow. Sounds like she didn't really understand you as a person, and wouldn't have made a strong friendship ever.

I'm not sure what you mean. It is available on Amazon for $2.99. I refuse to buy it myself, but I think we all know that many of the things the OP claims the book teaches are absolutely possible for a woman to do to man with no evidence required. I've seen similar things happen to friends. In this sub, during this week, there have been posts about these kinds of things happening. In the news there are countless examples of men being destroyed by false accusations from women. That is the real pro…

Well, I love your analogy, and your poem. Yes its just one view on a complicated topic, but its easy to digest, and fun, and makes an interesting point. Thank you.

There are tons of good women out there (and men, I presume(no judgement here)). Please don't miss out on making true human connection over a few nut jobs and an imperfect system. Whatever works for you, I hope you find it. And if you want to have kids as a solo male living in the US, I can tell you that it is possible just expensive.

I find this appalling, and characteristic of the issues men are facing all over the US. Mothers receive support, while fathers receive disregard. My condolences to anonymous Ohio father. Why don't these issues make the news? Why don't more people get angry about this? This is an abuse of the system that can be easily addressed. We can change this. Is it really because people don't care? Even in the Men's Rights sub, a picture of baby changing rooms gets more attention than the real issues. If yo…

We could really use somebody to rally around. A person, a politician, an organisation... Hey, r/MensRights any suggestions?

I don't think most people will even think of mens rights when they see this sign. The message is more general than that. It could be adressing the old, young, race, sexual preference, etc. I see it as a good inclusive message, but not necessarily helpful to mens rights. Know what I mean?

In removing arbitrary barrers they have created actual barriers. Urinals are time saving and more sanitary. You can fit a lot more in a room than putting in stalls. Now the visitors to this building will lose time and face messy stalls. There must be a health related angle to take here. Doesn't anyone have common sense in Portland Oregon?

Lets recognize that this is a school textbook, and not a journal article. There is a lot here for interpritation. It says on one side "Who has privilege" and on the other "Who doesn't". Thus a non-male person does not have privilege based on their sex acording to the graphic. But in truth both sexes have privileges and burdens. Therefore it is a sexist misleading representation, right? It is not stating that some classes have more privilege than others. It is stating that some have privilege and…

So you would agree that teaching this is a public school is wrong becasue it states that only whites and males have priviliges, and doesn't recognise the privilege of others, right?

The fact that this example of undermining people based on their race exists is actually evidence of the opposite being true. Right?

I think u/DownrightCaterpillar was making a joke. He was saying that because you are an asian in Asia then you are in the racial majority, and therefore a privilidged group by modern USA liberal standards. In the US white men are called racists for being in the racial majority, and it looks like that is also true in Canada. It is ridiculous.

The opposite also exists, so what's the point?

Wow, an actual answer to the question. I was being facetious. Thank you for the research. That makes some sense at least.

Yeah, I think your interpretation is correct. Expectant mothers have physical realities in their bodies that can be helped by closer parking. I don't see anything wrong with offering them some assistance in retail areas that they may frequent. Does this sign discriminate against Trans men who are pregnant and experiencing the same physical realities?

Hey, sorry it took me so long to reply. I feel like my earlier post mentioning social programs begged the question, and now you got totally downvoted for asking it. Sorry. I was trying to express a larger view of society, and social programs are just one part. I think we already have enough social programs, but they are administered in sexist ways that leave men out in the cold. I live in a big city, and I see a lot of homeless men in my neighborhood. I don't see homeless women or children becau…

Lately I have noticed that in popular culture, especially in hollywood, blond blue eyed women are chosen to portray excellence, while blond blue eyed men are chosen to portray evil nazis. The only difference is their sex. It's bizzarre.

I agree, and it's not just the young. As a man in his 40's I have noticed that I no longer reach out to help society, as I used to 20 years ago. I take care of my family, I take care of other men in jeopardy, and that's it. I fight against social programs beause I feel that they are discriminatory against people like me.

I love and appreciate your post. It's funny how two sides of the human rights movement have been pitted against each other. It's a clear philosophical contradiction that is destined to fall at some point. I know we can rise above this divide and do better for everyone. *edit for spelling

Let's not discount a filtering effect. It may the the people who are the most fearful of men in the first place to then later attracted to feminism and more likely to become strong adherants. I can understand the attraction to someone fearful of men to find great comfort in a community where men are disempowered and targetted, or maybe just a community where being fearful of men resonates and is appreciated.

Hey man, it's heartbreaking to read this. I can only imagine your situation. I'm long out of school myself, but identified many of these same issues when I was a in high school in the early 90's, even though they were minor incidents compared to your reality. I want you to know that there are very many people, men and women of every race and income category, who agree with you and will understand you. Your school is just plain wrong to do this to you, but you will grow older and graduate and mov…
