As for dream girl... honestly she checks as many boxes as I’ve ever seen yet. So FAR she’s the most attractive (as a package) person I’ve met in my life. There will probably be others in the future. But why sit back and let this go? Will she reject me? Fuck, probably. Either it’s because she’s not kidding around when she says she doesn’t date, which is demonstrably true. Or it’s because I’m not handsome enough, which I guess could be true as well. I’m not a troll by any means but at my best I’m …

I’ve seen people start relationships here. It’s not unheard of. I can name two couples off the top of my head. Two instances of adultery, in addition. Lol

I appreciate the support. I don’t know how to make the first step though. Asking her out is way too direct and if I’m wrong it’ll make things awkward. I read that guide on the no-date relationship starter. Right now all I’m doing is being professional at work when others are around, and chatting with her to get to know her when it’s just us. Because she’s so relatively timid I don’t know how far I can push it if i try to make a push :p We’ve honestly been too busy at work to have much time off w…

Worst case scenario less than 21 months until I move away

You know what man, I wouldn’t blame you for saying that. I know there are other girls out there like her. I just haven’t found any yet. I really want to take my shot here. If it doesn’t work out I can always get over it. I’m moving away in 2 years anyway

Complete professional, I’d tend to agree. This is military we’re talking about. YES I’ve confirmed with my chain of command this isn’t against the rules. My immediate supervisor is a trustworthy friend. This is essentially a mechanical shop environment. No ISIS shooting at us

Why would it be creepy? Like i said I’m not her boss and I’m occasionally tasked with showing her the ropes. We’re nearly the same age and have quite a bit in common. She’s opened up enough to our immediate group that she can put up with a bit of ribbing. And dish it back just the same. It’s all healthy here bro. BTW she’s been here 5 weeks. Over a month

Very. She frankly stated that she “doesn’t really have time” for dating when prompted by the supervisor during the friendly get-to-know-you meeting we had. She’s got a bit of a RBF going on so not really very approachable, combined with being new here I don’t see her with anyone that often. In fact in the month she’s been around I don’t believe I’ve ever even heard her refer to a male except her father in any anecdote she’s shared. Potential red flag but doesn’t come off as a raging feminist. Wi…

Hehe. Contractual obligations. I’ve got 2 years left here unless I extend. She’s got 4

I’m 21 and she’s 20. No drinks for her yet. This is military (completely POG, relaxed environment) so hefty punishment for underage drinking. However, under these circumstances, there wouldn’t be any punishment for relationships. It’s not fraternization, as confirmed by my own chain of command.

Well I tried to state in the post that I haven’t done anything yet. I know how NOT to be creepy. I guess I’m pretty upset that deep down I know the answer already.

Not an option. Unless she rejects me. I can't let this opportunity pass me by. Maybe you can say I'm not thinking clearly but it's been a month and it's only been getting worse. She's great.

I don't know if this is a sure-fire way to succeed either. I had to break up with my last ex due to moving a few years ago. I tried to re-kindle it and it just ended up being a ONS. Since breaking up with her the year prior I'd doubled my income, I'd traveled the world, had gotten a much nicer car and dressed well. 100% upgrade. She still ended up saying things were "awkward" and dated the weird looking poor guy that worked at the honda factory. now she's pregnant and engaged to the Benjamin But…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
