The truth is not what bothered people in that comment, it was the moralizing. I didn't read any moralizing. I didn't view his comment as telling people to do good things and live morally, he was saying, don't spread disease to someone who probably doesn't have it. Is it morality that tells us to cover our mouths when we cough and might get other people sick? Again just another hamster justifying poor behavior in the veil of amorality. And this goes back to my initial comment, he problem with TRP…

Oh i thought HPV stayed with you for a certain amount of time before it was cleared, and even then it could resurface. Thanks for clearing that up. Am just reading HPV is akin to the chicken pox virus in that the virus stays with you but it usually remains dormant.

I don't like being punched. You can attempt to redefine this as what I really don't like is feeling pain, being disrespected, or whatever else, but it still means the same thing because one comes with the other. People don't like moralizing for a lot of reasons, but all those reasons go along with the moralizing. Sure thats true, but at the core of the "why" you don't like being punched there are other issues, "truer" reasons. Just like not liking being moralized to, has other "truer" reasons. I…

Thats not true, what people really don't like is the feeling of being different, excluded, or unwelcome, or wrong. morality is the belief in something as right. Lacking morality, believing something is moral when your peers would say its not, or plain disregarding it while knowing or not caring about its immorality leads to the previous; being different to the point of being an outcast and excluded, being unwelcomed, or being proven wrong. if you feel like you're being moralized too, enough to d…

Teenage girls these days go after who they want unapologetically. Women might be reluctant to approach a guy at a bar, but they have no qualms with approaching men in online dating. I was assuming we were more talking about adult women? Every girl I ever hooked up with was because i initiated the connection. I've actually only seen one girl ever give a dude her number like "call me"

In the beginning banging your ex is like putting a bandaid you just ripped off back on. But as you get settled and are devoid of the emotional attachment(which lets face it never truly fades until you find someone else) then go for it, but I'm sure she won't stop her emotionality after every time you hook up because its like giving her hope every time. Don't be a slave to your sexual desire, i'm sure there are better girls around then your ex.

BTW; why do you want to drag badmouthing feminism into this? I'm being critical of feminism. When a movement fashions itself as the gender equality movement and me being a part of that umbrella term i have the position to be critical of the one movement apparently representing "gender equality". It seems to me feminism has labeled itself as this broad gender equality movement and in my opinion they don't do much for the male gender, which is fine but don't call yourself feminism, the gender equa…

But if you'very ever been in a site office with girlie pictures on the walls, pictures of dicks everywhere (why do men like drawing dicks on things?) and piss and mess everywhere, what do you mean here? male spaces have piss and mess and girl spaces have girie pictures or did you mean something else? you'lol know that some male spaces are better for the inhabitants than others. I think this is the issue I have that i needed clarifying. who would decide which spaces are "better"? I agree with you…

Either way, it's like this constant itch I've had all my life has been fading into constant satisfaction instead of the hunt for it. Either I'm conquering it or I'm just low on testosterone. ;) This is my thoughts on it as well. Something I've always felt compelled to do, but as i did it more and more the allure faded. Plus when you find a quality woman you don't feel the need to go to the thrift store to try out others.

Do you have anything a bit more suggestive to add to this? Right now it seems like she's seeing you as a friend who has an extra room, nothing really flirty here even. "You've always been a good friend" not sure what this implies to you guys but to me it sounds like she thinks you're a good friend, not a new "branch". Good FR? I dk what this is to be honest. I only said one women, not 42% of NFL fans. I was using my experience with 1 women to illustrate the point the above person was making. I have no doubt there are women who genuinely enjoy traditionally male hobbies.

My real life friends and I are too loud and monopolizing the jukebox with hard core rap, and Danza Kaduro. The group of BP men try to bump us passive aggressively to get us to move over because we're taking up too much space at the bar. My mongoloid friend doesn't budge because he's house #1. Then my other friend comes over and we gradually start taking up s'more space just to be dicks. i think the point is it could imply disingenous like for the hobby and only doing it for the male attention, i knew a girl who only said she liked football only to always hang out with the guys, knew diddly about the teams or games. Not that i consider watching football a hobby but thats the idea. Thats why he said its not absolute too i believe.

but you're comment to which this all stemmed, implied that the male spaces need to be proctored by "wiser men"? because all male spaces could lead to dick swinging and machismo(which isn't inherently a bad thing, competitiveness causes people to better themselves but I am biased because I like traditional masculinity) Further implying that the current male spaces that already exist do not have these wiser men leading their younger members. Which then further implies your dissatisfaction with the…

the members and their dues would fund it. then teh commitee would be voted to handle the other aspects. its the same with country clubs, knights of columbus etc. your comment made it seem like someone was needed to determine who there wiser males were and that feminists should naturally be involved. So a smoking club, or a all male barber shop needs to have an executive committee? I'm honesty curious what would make a "feminist marsupial" or really any feminists happy with regards to the running of all male spaces and being "supervised" by other wiser men. What if there was a place for all men that didn't conform to feminist standards but was nonetheless decided by the constituency? I don't understand the issue with all male spaces. Its not like feminists are up in arms about all female spa…

anything shaming, really. just to provide some contrast, where would the world be if we didn't shame murderers and child rapists, or any rapists for that matter? I'm not saying promiscuity is anywhere close to the same, but sexual strategy aside i can see why some people might not want to encourage promiscuity in either gender. Sure there are more protections now but higher partner count means higher chance for std, means my decision to sleep with you might change if I know i might run the risk …

I'm just curious here, who decides who these "other, wiser, men" are? If women are involved in the selection process then do we as men get to decide who women need to be supervised by? Just playing devils advocate as I don't care very much. Its just something I've noticed when people refer to the teaching of someone wiser they often always imply their own role in the selection process.

This where its at for me as well. People might do well to remember that the Mods are just as biased as the other subs. But they have the added power or pruning TRP so the sub will go whichever direction they deem "right". Its why we see "valuable" posts about how to seduce a married women because I';m sure the mods value that personally. I don't not because morality, more because its not a real challenge. There's a gap in the RP dogma that I can see here and will probably lead many of the RP guys away from this. As the top comment already said its the lack of focus on how to get laid, which it seems a lot of guys need help so in a way RP is an offshoot of PUA subs but what I would say is slightly more hateful, not everyone but some. The aforementioned gap comes when you have a PUA sub disguised as a "self improvement" sub. The idea at RP seems to be do X to be a better man right? But it also has …

hm specific to inherent hypergamy or AWALT. From what I see on RP there is theory. Someone posts a story that fits the theory and it entrenches everyone further into believing that theory. What I notice is they fail to entertain an alternate theory. I mean I read about how power reduces empathy in people. And thus from this RP concluded that women like are attracted to dark triad people. More often than not I see this same thing: bludgeoning of research papers to fit theory. But it happens with …

It's true for women, but not men. It's more complicated for men. Its not really that complicated though, people in general are more inclined to accept you into their social circle whether as a friend or dating partner if you conform to things they think are valuable personally. More generically and usually "safer" or broader things one can do to be more socially acceptable is to have a nice car, nice fashionable style, strong fit body, be sociable etc. Its a shame that a lot of guys on RP didn't…

If you have issues with these third-party studies though do you have references for these third party sources that employ the scientific method? From the third party stuff I've read on TRP, most don't use the scientific method, or they do but there are too many variables to get a very accurate conclusion. The problem I have with the RP is it is all theory supported by someone else's anecdote, or some research paper that is reinterpreted to fit RP theory. What ends up happening is you find facts …

I grew up in NYC, grammar school, high school, college, never had much taught to me about girls and sexuality, in fact I came from a strict Catholic upbringing(grandmother), i guess the tough climate of growing up in NYC combined with the strictness provided a context for me to be both assertive, confident and rebellious. In truth I just ended up not really giving two fucks.

First, show the female she is easily replaceable. Get nude pics from another chick, and leave them in an easily accessible place, or just browse them in front of her. Why even bother? Too much energy IMO. If you;re not number one, why compete? Find a new chick after you figured out what you were lacking in last relationship that made it seem ok or compelled her to send nudes to another dude.

Now, I didn't call it "last minute resistance" (I probably called it "girl who wants sex looking for a way to not be considered a slut") but it was almost always there. Across the boards. I got used to it, let them take control in those moments, and, viola, sex happened. It got to the point that I would just kinda laugh on the inside, not in a mean way, but a laugh of recognition, wondering if girls actually know they all exhibit the same behavior in that situation. Self improvement should be done because you want to improve not to satisfy some ulterior motive. I want to work out so I can be stronger than i was last month, so i can run faster. I want to go to school i can qualify for the more advanced degree to qualify me to do more fulfilling work like solving complex problems. The problem is when TRP constantly talks about men being rational and women being emotional. It's as if some of the men in TRP are blind to the fact that many of the flaws they complain about in women, also happen in themselves. This is what I see as the rp dilemma, the inability for introspection and the entertainment of an alternate cause for the effect. I thin the issue I have with some of he louder RP dudes is they have to skew things to make their interpretation of their environment(and this reddit comment is a good illustration) valid. A woman cheats on her husband, its because he wasn't alpha enough not because of some other more likely reason. I think the point is if you only get pleasure out of sex and that is the only drive you have in your life, and every action, every self improvement you make is to get laid, is pathetic and sad. If someone told me hey what workouts can i do to attract the ladies, i'd say you're working out for the wrong reasons. improving yourself builds confidence, helps get you better jobs, helps make you more independent, and if you;re doing it all, not to be those things, but with the sole purpose of getting …

You have a sure-fire plan in place to prevent that from happening? I guess you could just communicate how important it is in a relationship to you and if that is not being met it is something you are willing to end a relationship over. I have to agree with this point and I think by far this is the most enlightened here. Of all the theories and anecdotes RP/BP have, one thing that cannot be ignored is biology and hard proven science. The physical attraction we have to good looking things, things we are attracted to, is proven and undeniable. This extends to everything, style, sports, music, we are drawn to things that bring us pleasure. For long term relationships there are more factors that go into decision making. But I would…

Yes, you can teach RP too young, you can fuck up your kid for life with a mindset if you don't execute it perfectly. But c'mon don't pin Steubenville on us, we have to deal with enough slander as it is. It was a joke lol. Sorry. But seriously i'm glad you can understand where I am comping from. But the issue is by teaching them trp stuff about building your life etc all the good masculine stuff I tend to agree with, you don;t need to teach them the other stuff because they will already be in a position to attract women. Interesting. So only if there were women would they have an inherent problem? Do you think it would be the Alpha attitude or the actual alpha actions that would win her over? As in would the RP guy win her because he had the alpha attitude, or would the blue bill guy win because he had the alpha actions like he does the hunting. Interesting scenario

Reddit's TheRedPill hasn't taught me anything about women that I didn't learn from my dad, my older brothers and friends, or women themselves, really. Its funny you say this, because I have read PUA stories on reddit, "FRs" from trp and I just didn't know that this type of stuff had to be taught to guys.

this is why i stopped reading their stuff.

haha, zing, you are on fire, two points for the wizard. You're repetitive quip might work in World of Warcraft but recycling is for garbagemen not for jokes.

Is that bad? Who doesn't like to shoot a load? you should get yourself some pliers and pull the thong outta your ass, its cutting off bloodflow, you can't think real good huh

I would just make fun of you until you felt so emasculated you left. I don;t have to hit you if you're hitting yourself. You can pretend the bouncers in clubs or crowded city bars have a reaction time like SWAT but ground experience tells me you are wrong. I have seen guys stabbed before a bouncer could intervene. I have even seen bouncers held back by others who wanted to see their friend kick some ass. I have seen bouncers beaten. I find it funny your belief that the first person to get mad lo…

You said so does everyone else. I don't think that statement has much validity outside a manipulative group. I think some people might do it occasionally, but not enough to live their life around. Some people are football fanatics, follow high school football to see who might get drafted by colleges and make good QBs in a few years, sure these guys let their actions dictate their life. Some people only watch when the games are on. Some people are more fanatical about the things they want in life…

What is necessary in character? But there is no natural imprinting that happens between man and woman. what do you mean here? do you suggest that there is no innate loyalty for anyone? not even men? how does a man become loyal that differs in the way that a woman is loyal? Is there a difference in brains?

the sexual strategy according to TRP is amoral I think this is a flaw in their ideology, as they use a blanket statement to wrap all of humanity. Surely the RP isn't needed in India, or say Saudi Arabia where rape and honor killings are prevalent? edit: John isn't a gullible idiot normally. Just wasn't thinking clearly. Bob didn't do anything illegal from his perspective. He met John who was complaining how he lost 500$. My point is that with the amount of people on TRP, there is easily a line b…

Ok see that sounds reasonable. I would however not go pursuing a person who wanted a "distraction" from a falling out with their bf. Why do I have to be the guy that ruins their relationship? There have been times where I was tempted, waited, the temptation passed. In fact smoke free for 3 years, but those first months were hardest cold turkey. With my friends they knew not to ask me, but with a person who didn't want to smoke alone, I could easily see them saying "cmon one won;t kill ya" then I…

so does everyone else is there any science or statistics to back this up? I'm curious. Ok I'll reword it, would you say these guys actions are controlled by the object of their want?

so would you say they let "hot women" dictate how they act?

There are loads sure. I am not concerned with false accusations(in my example none would have been made, maybe the women were too ashamed). Nor am i concerned with the people that are predetermined to cheat(they already had past history, weren't committed whatever traits you consider predetermined to cheating). Considering those two stories, do you think the RP would call me a rapist if I posted some story about some dude's wife coming home with me after polishing off a tequila bottle? Or if I o…

solely surmised, from the posts on the RP sub. It seems a lot of them are interested in how they are perceived by banging HB7s+. Or as another poster said "No body likes you for you, they like you for your value" or the other common idea spread there "these traits are beta and therefore unattractive, be alpha women like alpha" Attractive to who? hot women? other men? the rest of the world outside the RP sub?

you should have been clearer. You say training I think of training. I do not pussyfoot around vocabulary. so a man is born with loyalty or does not have it at all? do you think a man can change?

I live in a big city, few years ago i have seen fights start with situations involving guys trying to mack it to GFs and have seen said macks walk away badly beaten. I have been in a situation where the bf was close by and ended yup making friend, not life long but enough to have a beer pong teammate. Honestly, if i had a gf and some dude was hitting on her and I came in told him whats what, i wouldn't stand around making conversation, i'd probably make fun of him until he left. But then again i…

Thats what it seems like. Sounds sort of strange that a group could foster such devotion to the image of ALPHA MALE and be simultaneously so devoted to the outside opinion of the rest of the world. Honestly, doesn't sound too alpha

I can understand this point, so you would actively pursue a girl if her SO was there as long as he was not a threat or a friend? I have chatted up girls at bars before one of which had a bf there and was trying to make him jealous. I was into it until i realized how he was feeling, felt bad for being part of whatever torture she was putting him through, excused myself and backed off. I just don;t see the value in trying to pursue a girl that says she's taken, whether a truth or a lie, there are …

I believe a similar thing with regards to respect. edit. do you hold both men and women to the same idea. "Loyalty is made"?

Ok its cool, i understand what the AMOG is, I am just curious what other guys would react if they encountered a man that stepped in and said "she's taken buddy beat it." I know if it was me and some guy was hitting on my SO I would give a verbal warning, then if he felt like asserting his alpha-ness we could discuss such topics over broken bottles and bleeding eye sockets.

what would be a sample case where they do not, and one where they do? Like if a girl said she had a husband, or was in a relationship, would you guys continue until you "win" or is there a certain point where you say to yourself, "ok I guess she's not interested"
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/14 04:53 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
