For anyone looking to get out of a career/job they no longer enjoy, I HIGHLY recommend the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. Eye opening concepts for developing income to fit around your lifestyle. Actually, I do this because I genuinely like helping guys reach their maximum potential. It's not about being a rockstar and I'm not a pickup artist. So for me, this a rewarding path and it's cool to see dudes overcome social anxieties, sticking points, etc.

Hey bud! I'm straight AoC training :). Well, funny you mention the cubicle job. I was a career desk jockey for 5 years. Finally got to a point where enough was enough and I made the jump to do my own thing!

Yep. Back off and give her some space. Pursue some other ladies or keep yourself busy. Then, in a couple of days send her a fun text. Keep it fun, playful and invite her to hang out soon.

Start getting involved in activities you love doing that include others. Whether it be a sport, club, organization etc. See what your friends are up and make plans to go out. Network with others who like similar activities and interests. Above all, you got to put yourself out there and take action. Sitting on reddit and posting about be enough :)

Actually, do this. Wanna talk dirty with a women? Read the book My Secret Garden. It's all about female sexual fantasies. It'll blow your mind.

Unfortunately, experience is the missing link here. So like others have said fake it until you make it. But do more than just fake it. Assume attraction and that they want you. Own it. So really, try letting them do the work. Ask her what she likes (this will help you with amazing sex later), then ask her if she would like it if you did those things to her. Over, and over, and over and over again :)

If you want to date the girl then don't hide or shy away your intentions. That's the worst thing you could do. She'll respect you for being a man but she'll never respect you for being a pussy.

Your problem is you don't think you are funny to begin with. Which also means you probably don't find yourself or humor very amusing. So, there's the root of the problem. Change that and you'll change yourself. That being said, check out Comedy stations on Pandora. Incorporating comedy and being self amused is a great way to kick off the funny bones.

Interesting post man! Never thought about the benefits of that. I've heard that there are heath benefits too but haven't looked into to it too much. Personally, I don't see how this would help with AA though. Consistently conditioning yourself to a cold shower just makes taking a cold shower that much less of a shock or easier. Similarly, consistently conditioning yourself to approach women, makes the approach all that more easier. Getting blown out a few times usually does the trick in terms of…

You're putting too much pressure on the situation and yourself. Aren't you curious about who she is? So what's the harm in starting up a harmless conversation? Don't tie this to an outcome. Forgot about outcomes and be more curious about the people and world around you. Like Steve said, just do it. And don't forget to have fun with it!

I don't see anything wrong with "props" or using fun things to banter with, so long as people don't rely on it like a crutch.

Some of my favorite exercises to do are to go shopping (or pretend I'm shopping) and ask the sales girls what they think of the clothes on me. I like to pick out some ridiculous things I would never wear and some things I would actually wear. Another one I like to do is go to the grocery store and ask the cute clerk where the surfboards are at. One I have only done a couple of times (but was rewarding) was going to a public place with high walking traffic and with pad of paper and pen ask people…

You know why it seems like you're interrupting them? Because you are in fact interrupting them. People are busy, they have schedules, places to be and people to see. The most you'll get out of these situations is very light friendly but brief conversation. Play your cards right and you may get a number. Bottom line is that there is nothing wrong with trying to open up women in public (even if walking in the opposite direction), especially, to get over approach anxiety. I wouldn't put too much em…

That's cool shit man! Props for recognizing what went wrong and what you can do better. I feel there are no real failures in life, only lessons learned. Yeah, I just used to drive myself nuts about only focusing on women and getting into awkward situations. It didn't take long to figure out it was much more beneficial to be social with everyone! Sounds like it worked for you and even scored a number, of which was solicited to YOU. Props! Feel free to hit me up here or even better justin@theartof…

Alright, that makes sense. I read that as in going out of your way to walk her home, so my bad. The big thing is don't sweat it. The important thing is you went for it. Sometimes we don't do as well as we wanted to and that's ok! After reading The Game, I got intently interested in this stuff and discovered The Pickup Podcast and learned a lot. Check it out if you're into this stuff! Cheers bro

Quality interactions equal quality phone numbers. The first problem was offering to walk her to her place. It comes off as needy and supplicative because it's an attempt to buy more time with her. Her reaction indicates that this was not a quality interaction and she was unsure of who you were still. Next time, try getting her number in the middle of the interaction instead of the end. Also, I read this book which dramatically increased my texting game! Best money I've spent on literature recent…

That's rough man! Don't beat yourself up though. Unfortunately, these can happen. First, the negatives. Going off the description it almost sounds like you didn't make a solid lasting impression with her. I say this because some other dude comes by and sweeps her up. Now the positives. On the bright side, this doesn't sound like a very high quality woman. And if she did that to you, she'll likely do that to the next guy. So congrats for getting out of a bad situation. When going out alone stop f…

I have some simple advice for you. The problem is that you're focusing so hard on approaching women that you're completely blowing yourself out of the water. How? Simple. Chicks can pick up on this easily. They (whether they know it consciously or not) are VERY good at picking up on body language and reading people. Your low confidence and self worth is what they're picking up on. The best course of action would be to be more social with everyone and start focusing on hobbies and activities that…
