Unfortunately this has likely hurt his career irrevocably and probably not taught the school a thing (they most likely make more than 50k per student). Also he likely brought up a very important flaw in the policy which most likely would've cost them a lot more money if someone actually decided to sue. most sexual harassment policies are so vaguely written that either don't prevent harassment or they make everyone so nervous they can't adequately communicate on the job.

I found this story incredibly disheartening. A group of elders offering up their knowledge and time to improve the community and help local youngsters learn skills that will help them in life is an excellent and almost primal act. With a lack of apprenticeships and the niche knowledge of the older generation dying off this sort of thing is a cultural preservative (many trades that are no longer popular such as gem faceting rest only in the hands of those left who are willing to teach).

I've received these from reddits I've never heard of as a way to advertise the new reddit and attract new posters. I just report the user as spamming (because that's what it is). Honestly I wouldn't frequent any reddit that does pre-emptive banning it subverts the entire culture of reddit which is (or was) to allow open discussion of current issues. Of course in the last year I've the maturity level and standard of conduct on reddit overall go to the gong so I do not expect very much anymore.

I'm not a parent but I'd think that saying one of your children isn't yours even as an idle threat in front of them clearly shows that she is not thinking carefully enough about the effects of her actions on the children. The welfare of the children should always be put ahead of the squabbles of the adults. If one of your children hears mommy's outburst it would surely evoke some level of distress.

Looks to me like he's really phoning it in. He's been doing that a lot lately. I believe his last one was a picture of a cop car with a pro-jesus bumper sticker. I don't fault him for being misandrist much of what he said about gamers behavior is true I just fault him for being too lazy to do a good job of it. Because they haven't taken to posting our personal information. These "feminists" were not banned for their point of view but because out of fear of open dialogue they decided to gather and post personal data in an escapist subreddit. It's not a matter of beliefs but a matter of action. When the racists decide to start using scripts and purposely posting user data violating the policies of reddit I would guess they would be banned as well.

Why ban them from here? They obviously were sophomoric enough to start an escapist subreddit out of fear of free exchange of ideas. In my previous city which is a decent sized metropolitan city with a huge tourism business their were 3 female only training center/gyms in town but no gyms that accepted both sexes except a ymca. Starting and even limiting to non-violent offenders goes without saying. Regardless of gender most people would agree that violent offenses should be treated different than crimes like drug use and property crime. I was told to have my sperm frozen before several surgeries. I would absolutely not do it, I see no need for it.
