You are above average if you work in IT, atleast job wise. The average guy would be someone 10lbs overweight working a minimum wage job or slightly better. The average income for a famaly is something like 52000$. So being average would be pulling in 30k a year since most households both people work. This makes the IT guy in your scenario even sadder because technically he is above average even though he doesnt seem like it.

Unions are weird man. This is coming from someone in the carpenters union. Every hall is different and has different retirement plans and health insurance. Luckily my hall and the halls near me are all good. I make triple what my non union counterparts make and thats why im union. And before people say im overpriced im not. Im trained very well and am able to preform all jobs carpenter related on the job. My production and skill level make me work the $$$.

The reason I had to speak up was exactly for that reason. My parents and people in my family kept trying to hook me up with woman and it was annoying as fuck. My parents were so confused why I wouldn't want to get married so I sat them down and showed them all the stats on marriage and how it's a net negative nowadays. That's how I got them off my back and they havent mentioned marriage since.

It always shocks me how many girls my age have a kid., sometime two of three. I'm only 23 and it seems like 1/4 of them have kids. From what I hear it just gets worse as you get older haha I just one to get laid every once in awail not get deal with some other dudes kids. When you get a chance take a break for a week or two! I work construction and we work some weird hours and I usually get burned out by the end of a job and I take a month or two off to reset myself. I average like 2300 work hours in 10months (typically the length of most projects I'm on) so the 1-2 months where I can do what I want helps alot and I have my Bill's set up in a way that Unemployment covers it easily.

I'm a union carpenter and I've seen 2 journeyman carpenters that were woman in the 5 years I've been in construction. There are quite a few woman apprentices but once they journey out they dknt last because now they have to prove their worth and no longer count for minority quotas.
