the hostility here is *chefs kiss*. I'm trying to have a conversation, but if that's above your skill level, do disregard the below. lmao it gets to that point because he has no self control. The pathology of why a man assaults a person is relevant certainly, but the onus is on HIM not the perceived influence of his mother/wife/whatever woman. You have no proof his wife is abusive etc or anything, but the failure to place the responsiblity solely at his feet is astonishing. And it goes to....his…

It's so telling how this conversation isn't "What a maniac Will Smith is, he's clearly a violent and unhinged individual" and instead is about how bad his wife is. He ASSAULTED a person. It's his actions and his choices. This is not a women's fault. OMG.

I’m so sorry. Rest up and do whatever you need to do so you’re ready for tomorrow. The fact that you feel confident in your decision speaks volumes, as does his non reaction. Please know you are worth more than a non reaction.

This is going to sound harsh. It sounds like he is a weak man, for firstly not being honest with you and helping you to get healthier. However, I must say, many men do still find their wives attractive even with a few extra pounds. Especially the mother of their children. So I don't completely buy that, due mainly to it being abrupt. Is it possible he was cheating or watching a ton of porn? Secondly, he also sounds like he wants you to feel badly about yourself, so sets these bizarre moving go…

This is really great thank you. Very helpful. Im getting very excited but realise that needs to manifest in being my best self for him, which was the case but honestly the day to day is a little like OMG I AM HAPPY instead of omg I'm happy and need to be best me for him and best us

I notice like that sub is a bunch of young women without actual experience in dating / relationships. So many of the posts are "how can I get over losing my virginity" or "just graduated highschool - what type of apron will my future husband like?" The ethos of the community I totally agree with - embracing who you are and understanding that modern feminism has been warped to leave behind men and be hateful toward natural / instinctual feminism and masculinity. that community has become a 'tra…

I'm sorry he was an asshole. To give the benefit of the doubt, maybe he didn't mean it and it slipped out. He might not be a cruel person, or he might be. You know yourself and him better than we do. Trust yourself to choose the best choices for yourself. Proceed cautiously and have boundaries in your head that if he crosses, you see it clearly - you don't necessarily have to act if you don't want to. You are a strong woman. You know yourself and what you want. Everything is a trade off - you …

You told him you wanted to wait for sex. He presumably knew this was important to you and realized this was when you'd be your most vulnerable. Then he decided to hurt you right when it would hurt the most and be the most confusing. This was deliberate, people don't mistakenly drive knives through hearts.

I like to picture a Grace Kelly crossed with a Michelle Obama. A woman who allows the man (or anyone) in her life to take the spotlight when warranted. Warm and soft, able to be vulnerable and accessible but remains strong and diligent. Shows her inner struggles without seeking pity but seeking connection. Doesn't dwell on those. Owns her opinions but doesn't force them on others. Takes a step back to reevaluate and remains open to changing perspectives. Is elegant in appearance and graceful. We…

You said he's high value but I disagree, men who lack empathy or respect aren't high value. Looks and a job get you very little with high value women. its your attitude and how you treat others and carry yourself that make someone high value. he isn't one of those people.

I actually find that men who are comfortable in their masculinity are into it. Like they lose the 'ego' part of themselves during sex (and at other times) with the right woman, and realize that not everything has to be 'masculine' or tough and even gives them a moment to be vulnerable, not something that is afforded men today, unfortunately. It builds a bond for sure.

Ah sorry for the miscommunication - I don't particularly like being degraded, I like degrading OTHERS during sex. Like a dominatrix. Sorry for the confusion there!

Haha - thanks. It's funny how RPW is inundated with men who are chomping at the bit to tell us about how great they are. Like, sir... this is a wendy's. I had a nice laugh picturing this guy (presumably NOT 6'3" or happily married or with a successful career) logging in and commenting on a female subreddit to show how AMAZING and WHAT A CATCH he is. The pure self-aggrandizing and egoism is really worrying for what the future holds for men. Ah! If only the world was so simplistic :) Bi-curious is simply possessing the openness to desire the same sex, and anyway I'm not here to argue on topics of a sexual nature with someone who doesn't have any experience with them. Thanks for your input in any case!

Thanks, I have had a ton of luck in that way, but I have reservations about building a relationship on sex exclusively, though I should weigh how much I am willing to do that vs possibly not have a sexually compatible partner... Thanks!

Thanks! Not sure you and I have similar definitions for 'bi-curious' as it is in no way connected to being feminine - quite the opposite really. Very deeply masculine and accepting of ones own sexual energy and others too, in the pure primal pursuit of an excellent orgasm!

Or maybe shes entitled to have physical standards for the person shes dating, which isnt about her hitting the wall at all? The notion that she should settle on something she is questioning deeply because someday shell age too is pretty hateful

If he's a good man their relationship will disintegrate. He'll either ignore and avoid her or he'll outright tell her to gtfo. If he doesn't do this of his own accord he's either flattered and likes the attention, isn't emotionally strong or mature, or doesn't belive you're worth that type of respect. Could be a combo of all three too. Were I you, I would tell him how strong of a man he is and that you trust him to make the right decision on her in his life. Obviously you're not a fan of hers bu…

What you you interpret "only speaks of necessary things to a man" - in life or to your SO? I try to have playful and indepth conversations every so often with those i'm closest too and find men are often lacking in that - they don't have these deep talks elsewhere outside of with females.

Do scary things together. Do that eyecontact thing others said. Seek out situations where you're both unfamiliar and unsure and you have to cling and rely on each other. Start inside jokes. Show him a funny video and quote it for a while, make it your thing. Do things like blindfold each other during sex, or make something and have them try it blindfolded. Submit to each other. The true essence of a woman is allowing others to be weak without making them feel inferior. Instead of pushing back against their beliefs say, "hm. well this works for me for now and i'm grateful" END. When they whine say "gosh I'm so sorry to hear you're unhappy" and don't feed into their neediness. Paint yourself not as superior but as content with your choices. People who are content and satisfied don't feel the need to preach or get irritated at those who don't have that. Lean back. Let you…

The original meaning of feminism was gender equality and if that's what you value about feminism, removing barriers to success/happiness/prosperity due to gender, then it is RP friendly. I have come to think that RPW is incidentally very empowering and celebratory of the female experience, which is what feminism often revolves around. It also seeks to identify and understand the barriers men face that our society blatantly ignores. Feminism has devolved from a 'freedom / equality' position to an…

This is a brilliant reply! Thank you for so respectfully parsing this down for me. Saying that respect equates love resonates so well with me, and I guess the 'submission to husband' aspect doesn't mean 'respect' to me, but submission to the relationship does. And you're right that does mean giving up my independence but not my autonomy, which I think I was misnaming before. Thanks so much for this! I trust my partner to make the best decisions for us and me, and I also know that I have the free…

Sorry if I came off as questioning you and your choices at all - that wasn't my intention. I definitely align with a lot of RPW and was just hoping for some insight on a few points that I wasn't sure about. I am happy this works for you, I think my point was I am trying to navigate this system of thinking and find what works for me. If that isn't' welcome here, I will go elsewhere. Was not implying anything about you or your lifestyle choices. But thanks for your responses.

so true! I like surrender better. I'm just speaking from my own experience and from what I see on this sub. It's obviously a small and concentrated pool, but sometimes I see really extreme examples on here, and while I'm happy that works for them, I don't relate and wanted to see a more 'middle of the road' discussion of submission.
/r/RedPillWomen24/04/20 04:30 PM
5

Interesting perspective. I guess I have an issue with the 'submitting to your husband' language, and even though you can trust and think he will never take advantage of that, you never really can know. And in terms of his wants are more important than yours, I can see that. However I abide by the notion of 'put your own mask on before you help others' and while I want him to be happy and feel loved, I am the most important person in my life. he is a very close second, and while I love him I love…

Yes, I connect very well with that! I often though see the language as submitting to your husband to be misleading and paint a picture of you HUSBAND being somehow the most important part of the relationship. I don't agree. The notion that you allow your husband to have complete control over a certain aspect of your life is very worrying to me. It's like as a mother, let's say I raise our children more than my working husband. He still gets a say in how we raise our children. I will instill valu…

Sure - I have experience as I mentioned above with partner's very close relationship with his sister/mom. I felt there were little boundaries and their opinions were held very highly, and I didn't think that was appropriate. He pushed back on me and I finally said "I love YOU and I want you to be happy. But this makes ME unhappy and I need to be happy. I need you to come to the middle on this, because I CAN'T be with you if this continues. I need you to change." And he did. I didn't submit to hi…

I totally agree with this and find this sub to be full of women who take the immediate and extreme step of submitting 100%. I seem to only see women who submit to their husbands, instead of submitting to the marriage, which in order to work has to work for both people. For example, I need to XYZ to be happy and ABC to feel loved. If submitting to my husband removes those, then the marriage is not happy. I have to submit to the marriage, and therefore my desires as a person too.

It's such a slippery slope but when I realized my 'open mindedness' that I valued so highly was not inclusive of the issues faced by men (50% of the population!), I was taken aback and re-evaluated the way that I approach men. I have since tried to strike a balance between embracing my femininity and not fighting the gender differences between men/women (Red pill) and setting high standards for both myself and the men I encounter, not allowing myself to lose who I am for a man and maintaining my…

Dude same. I was a stripper and i actually became more upset with how the world treated MEN. They came to a club and spent money just to be talked to and noticed by women. the absolute rejection for their primal needs by society was blatantly obvious. Furthermore, I realized how much power women have when we are WOMEN. When I embrace my beauty and softness and sensual side, I am more authentic and embraced more fully by men (and a lot of women).

As soon as you're asking that question it's too far. If I encounter someone's social media and they have a lot of selfies or pictures of just themselves, I question it. Imo social media at its worst is when one becomes so self-absorbed they are blinded to how they come across and change themselves to fit how they want to be 'seen.' At it's best - a way to connect with people and share your experiences. I opt for the latter.

True and I feel like so much of RPW is about your captain leading and you being his first mate. I understand that's the perspective of some but I see RPW as a way to let men express themselves in their own way but not giving them complete control over your life. Its insane for me to read how many women are at the behest of their husband's here. Work finances living situations like christ I have my own things he can hav his. On the latter point, I have found it helpful to see that men have the same end goal as me - to feel loved and included. It's human nature, love is love. However, men are shortchanged by society and it's expectations - they are programmed to think they are weak / worthless if they have any human emotions / needs. It's devastating. Men and women are wired to express love in different (not opposite) ways. And that is glorious. I have decided to show my love in ways that can be understood by men (an…

Hmmm I was just in Europe Africa and the Middle East and unless I was crossing between open borders got a stamp. Anyhow its the idea that I don't want a man who hasn't traveled - either doesn't have the means or desire.

So true! It's also not discussed how it's hitting already marginalized groups of people. The vast majority of those dying are brown/black people. It's terrifying that, at least where I am, the only means of communicating the social distancing / precautions are daily TELEVISED press briefings in English - nice if you have a TV, know to watch, speak the language etc. If you don't - a big SORRY. Also, the 'hero' status of grocery workers and other vastly underpaid people is so out of touch too. The…

Thanks! I feel like a lot of times the mentality of being a supportive partner gets twisted to mean I will accept less. I understand and accept people fall short but do not want someone where that happens often and is nbd - by them or me. There's also a lot I don't care about too much - ambition professionally is great but not a must. Race / ethnicity doesn't matter and neither does what they do (hobbies work recreation) as long as it's something. And on the part about physical appearance - yes!…

I too used to do this and have started becoming more aware of this within the past few years. To combat this, I have started to define myself as a valuable woman. I am smart, kind, nurturing, fit, calm, sensible, loving, sexual, stable, organized, easy going, communicative. and the actions that embody that: I keep a neat and homey home, I cook and learn new recipes, I knit for people in my life, I call my family a lot, I donate to causes that I care about, I volunteer a lot, I send people cards …

So agree and super happy for you! It's a journey and hard to find your spot / preference. I have recently discovered that while I do have a lot of innate masculine traits and lifestyle, I can simply do those things with a feminine air. I work in finance (only woman, very fast paced) and I always just matched my coworkers in their style as it was my only example of success. Different domains have worked (currently single but referencing past relationships) For example, I am skilled in xyz and know he values vwxy so I do those things myself for us.
