Then the OP should respond that all children need to be taught not to rape. But the fact that we as a society (and yes, it's us all regardless of if we're in the country or not) is literally rewarding child rapists with the most powerful position in the world is a huge blow against male advocates fighting anti-men sentiments.

Yes, but what example does it show those innocent children when the world allows a pedophile rapist remain in power? Grow up. It's shit, not s*it.

I mean...we have a pedophile rapist as a president...so I understand the sentiment from the poster. The world is in a real shitty situation overall. As long as there is no consequences for the elite monsters this type of mindset will exist.

I don't think competition is inherently toxic or bad. It obviously can be, but it also can be one of the greatest things to guys have. My best friend is also my biggest rival. We've been friends for over a decade now. Live in complete different states yet still keep in touch. Mostly to argue about whatever game we're playing. We paint miniatures and are in a constant competition on who can be the better painter. It has made us grow in the art tenfold over the years. Same thing with any games we …

You're literally here on reddit talking about women/men issues (and I looked through your comment history, there's a lot of it there). They're all connected. The internet doesn't give a shit where you're consuming content. It sees it all and adapts to it. Are you straight? Do you ever watch porn? That alone will show that you have an interest in women. That will cross over with you watching music videos. I'm gay. I like men, and consume content that is for men that like men. When I watch a music…

It's how the algorithm works. Incognito mode doesn't reset or hide what you click on. The AI isn't an all knowing entity. It sees "keywords" but not necessarily keywords strung together in the way you think. You most likely keep up with politics when it regards to women vs men issues. You are also looking up music videos. That's two separate keywords and it combined them. Also, all it takes is one click for it to "learn" and start throwing more of the same. Right now all I see is clips from an a…

If those numbers are correct that's around 100 million more people get breast cancer compared men who get prostate cancer. You should also compare fatality rates.
/r/MensRights08/04/25 12:17 AM
-3

First of all, it's not a race or competition. Cancer in general should have more research. But if you are given limited funds you do need to focus on the one that effects more people. Breast cancer can effect 100% of the human population. Prostate can only effect 49-50% of the population. Just because men are less likely to get breast cancer doesn't negate that they can (and do) get it.

If you took ten men and ten woman with no chess experience and trained them for the same amount of time I'd be very interested in the results. If I had to make a guess I'd say majority of the top cut would be men, however I think it would be a woman that wins this hypothetical tournament. Men and women's brains are wired differently. Men organize thoughts in a more consistent, logical format. They are better at connecting dots and making predictions based on numbers. However, women do have their…

The reality is people really need to drop the patriarchy or matriarchy terminology. That is NOT the issue. Those terms are a simple strategy to divide and conquer. It's the easiest way to do it. Us vs them. What needs to be done is the saying needs to become, "dismantle the plutocracy". Because THAT is what is tearing down the 99%. At all times.

When regarding a suicidal person, I don't think it's about "what that person's worth" is the point of reminding them about how it would effect their family/friends/pets. For many people (regardless of gender/sex) suicidal thoughts are typically temporary fleeting thoughts. The significant differences are how often these thoughts happen and when those fleeting thoughts become attempts. Men are much more likely to go through with it due to how they do it vs women. And men also have the thoughts at…

Valuing family, trust and honourable behaviour. "honorable behavior". That part. What one person believes is honorable behavior is vastly different than another person. And they will never agree. Christion conservatives have their "traditional values" that they believe need to be forced on others. Even when it comes to valuing families. What my family looks like is very different than yours. Yet the right keeps trying to strip me of my rights because it "offends" them that I have a husband inste…

No true Scotsman fallacy. It's a tough one to deal with. I've seen many people use it dismiss valid arguments. Very frustrating. Best advice is to attempt to not take it personal and to explain to them that what they're saying is a fallacy.

The statistic is probably BS, however, I would like to throw a wrench and say it does not say the age group (or even sex/gender) of the woman's partner. And women typically date older men. So it could technically be a true statistic.

There's actually some nuance to that. Women are more sensitive to cold than men on average. So it takes a lower temperature to make men comfortable. Now to call it sexist though is stupid. It's much easier to put on clothes to stay warm than it is to take off clothes to cool down. One is more "acceptable" than the other. So unless they want sex segregation I do think that women need to "suck it up" in this case. However I do think we shouldn't just throw it under the rug as if it isn't a biologi…

No. Nor do I think we ever truly lived in one. I think we live in plutocracy more than anything. The rich and elite rules us unfortunately. One of the ways they gain the control is by keeping a "them vs us" mentality towards others. Patriarchy/Matriarchy. Black/White. Male/Female. Straight/Gay. Republican/Democrat. As we fight, they laugh and eat cake. The old saying is never more true. "Divide and conquer".

It's interesting this is being "praised" as a win for men. When it's the exact opposite. It hurts the common man. It hurts the men who have been sexually abused and deters them from speaking up when it happens. The US court system is a joke. The thing that wins the most is money. If two poor people are in court your gender/sex/race/orientation may play a role. But if one is more rich than the other...

Those articles have as much validity as the old articles that said 1 in 10 and 1 in 5 are gay. All of those studies are purely done by polling. Even when people think it's "private" they lie. Thousands of years of social oppression (religion, laws, etc.) has trained people to bury their feelings. Deeply. The issue is there is no way to "prove" sexuality one way or the other. As it's not specifically "nature" OR "nurture" but something in between. Men are a more rigid when their sexuality kicks i…

Honestly this thought experiment is really stupid. Both sides are being foolish and putting way to much bias in it. Like this OP. The insinuation is that women are stupid and unable to learn and be quick on their feet. Which is just flat out wrong. Even using your own statistics. Be careful with the "record everything". Make sure your state/country has a 1 consent law. If not, that evidence can (and will) be used against you. Where I live it's a 2 party consent. You HAVE to let the other party know you're recording. If not...that's a lawsuit you won't win AND it can't be used as evidence.

It took authorities more than four months to charge Clenney with second-degree murder. That quote is from the article. That's what it has to do with Men's Rights. If a man did this he would of been in prison for life or waiting the death penalty within that time period. Men are not seen the same in the public's eye compared to women. There's a chance she gets off with a slap on the wrist for murder.

I'd point out that Patriarchy and Matriarchy aren't really things, especially in modern society. What is the problem is Classism. Classism effects all. And the elites biggest weapon is making people turn on each other. Men vs women. Blacks vs Whites. Gays vs Straights. It goes on and on. The more we fight, the less we see the Elites passing laws and gaining more strength and power.

Being a man doesn't mean you have to follow any politic. Just that you have to be for men's rights. And that's all men. Gay men. Black men. Religious men. Anti-religious men. If you aren't for all men, then you're not an men's rights activist. I despise religion with a passion. But I believe anyone should be able to believe in what they want, as long as it doesn't infringe on another. So when a religious man says I shouldn't be able to marry another man, then that person is no longer an MRA, or …

I don't think the OP was talking about gay jokes (I still get a chuckle out of, "three guys in a hot tub and a condom floats to the top. One of the guys asks, 'who farted?'" ). Look through some of the comments. There's plenty of people saying, "I'm not homophobic but gay men shouldn't have equal rights". And I'm not being hyperbolic. Words evolve and change. The root of homophobia however is because of the now debunked "gay scare"/"gay panic" tactic that defense lawyers would use when a man killed a gay person because the very idea of them being "gay" was such a "threat" to them. Just like the original root words for f@g and f@ggot are cigarette and bundle of sticks. They weren't originally rooted in negativity however they evolved to being full blown slurs. In the case of homophobia the word didn't actually change much. It …

Yes, it is homophobic to compare watching gay men having sex to watching someone take a shit. Which is exactly what you just did. Also: Unattractive: not pleasing or appealing to look at. Disgusting: arousing revulsion or strong indignation. Very different meanings.
/r/MensRights17/10/22 05:35 PM

And some people are against gay marriage for ethical/religious reasons or find 2 men having sex disgusting. Deal with it. And that's where the line is drawn. If you are against your gay brothers having equal rights then you're no better than the feminists.

Anti-gay/bi rhetoric. Saying two men having sex is disgusting. That's homophobia. I'm not attracted to women. Seeing a woman and man have sex is a huge turn off. However it is not "disgusting". I just don't find it attractive. When people say shit like, "I don't care who someone sleeps with BUUUUUUT" (anything after but is homophobia unless it is regarding something not LGBT related). Toxic masculinity is thoughts/behaviors/ideas about "how men should be" that have negative repercussions on people (men and women). Toxic femininity (a term that is growing and needs to grow more) is the same thing except change the quotations to "how women should be". They are terms that I do think exist. It's just our opponents have turned it to mean something completely different. An example of toxic masculinity? The draft. Sending boys and men to die in a war because they are men and "that's…

It is not a myth, and it is something that happens a lot. However, not just with women. It happens with nearly any crime/incident. A man gets hit in public by a woman? The crowds say, "so what did the man do?" And women do hear all the time, "why were you wearing that?" We can't claim to have issues with victim blaming and then try to deny that it happens to women as well.

No, what you did was take the sjw semantics definition and cried about it. Who the fuck sounds like the woke bitch here? I used the literal definition of discrimination: the ability to differentiate between subjects. Don't bring politics into something you have no understanding of.

Are you a dumbass? Should a blind person be piloting a space craft? Or should a deaf person be answering police calls?
/r/MensRights03/08/22 04:12 PM

Because it's illegal to discriminate based on sex/gender. It's an important law and needs to remain. It's a societal issue. Women needs to learn to respect gay men and let them have their spaces. Just like they want to be respected and want their own spaces at times. But they refuse.
/r/MensRights03/08/22 02:45 PM
2

Because it's not meant for straight people. I'm not opposed to people having their own spaces. I'm opposed to people trying to destroy those places. This isn't about gyms discriminating against men, this is about places designed as a safe place being infected and destroyed.
/r/MensRights03/08/22 02:26 PM

It's an extreme issue. My city lost almost all our gay bars due to it. One was open for over 40 years. Destroyed by straight women infecting it. It tarnished the reputation and the bar ended up losing so much money it couldn't function anymore. To be very blunt, women do not belong there. Bars are typically used for socializing with like minded people and more importantly looking for potential mates. We very much dislike women in our spaces.
/r/MensRights03/08/22 02:23 PM
7

Advertising/events/reputation are what makes a gay bar a "gay" bar. Straight bars don't book drag shows. There is no "rule" because that's discrimination and illegal. However, not all discrimination is bad or meant to be "against" someone. There's nothing wrong with wanting spaces for people where they can feel they are accepted and are "safe". People have turned the phrase "safe space" into a political term when the reality there needs to be some places for people to be who they are without wor…

Genital mutilation forced on babies that have no way of consenting should be illegal. Plain and simple. HOWEVER, with that said, I admit I'm frustrated with all the "whataboutisms". Male genital mutilation is a serious issue. But just because we're fighting an injustice doesn't mean it's "okay" for another person's injustice to happen. It's not a competition. So I read the article. This doesn't belong here. For multiple reasons. The first is the very implication that it appears that by saying this is a "men's rights" issue that men somehow have a "right" to women. That is extremely untrue and goes against the very nature of men's rights. Now that is a harsh interpretation. The other interpretation could be you think it's putting down men somehow because women are "celebrating" leaving unhappy relationships. I really don't think it's that. At all. The…

WhAt AbOuT tHe ChIlDrEn! Take that religious idiocy elsewhere. There is no abuse if someone was in their NATURAL state. It would be abuse if they were sexually assaulting said child/person/anything. But you've completely lost this argument. I'm done with your idiocy. You're not men's right advocate. You're religious. The cancer on all society.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 01:12 PM

I'm not talking about immorality. You're trying to change the subject because you lost.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 01:10 PM
1

Tell me why not? Why can't people be nude in public if they want to? It has nothing to do with morality. It is control. You can't answer those questions because the root is religious control. And that's a rabbit hole you won't be able to win against an agnostic.

I never said the see through clothing wasn't inappropriate for a job interview. You are putting words in my mouth and making shit up. You are trying to equate inappropriate with immoral (which is a different subject), which is not equitable. You asked for an example of inappropriate hair, not inappropriate clothes. You didn't get a "gotcha" like you think you did. Just showing you're really ignorant on this subject. No where in any of my posts did I say clothes can't be inappropriate. What I sai…

And what's wrong with seeing "private parts"? What's "Immoral" about it?
/r/MensRights12/09/21 01:01 PM
3

For me? Spikey bright rainbow hair when going to a job interview. For someone else? Long, oily, unkempt hair when going on a first date. Is either really right or wrong viewpoints? Honestly no, because it's the individual's view points. What's "inappropriate" is a complex social as well as individual reason.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 12:45 PM
1

How? You're showing signs of religious idiocy.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 12:38 PM

Legality can have nothing to do with morality/appropriateness, that's a completely different subject. Morality/appropriateness is more of a sociology issue.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 12:16 PM

Hair is an appearance thing. Same as clothes. Both are part of the mating behavior of people and used to attract mates. Both can also be used for protection, but we live in a more modern society where it doesn't effect nearly as much as it did hundreds/thousands of years ago. It's now more "peacocking" for both sides.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 12:12 PM
1

Then some hair is inappropriate. You can't have it both ways. You can't criticize others and expect yourself to not be criticized. That makes you a hypocrite, and not wanting equal rights. You begin to sound like a feminist with arguments like that.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 12:07 PM
-1

I'm not "justifying", I'm explaining why something is what it is, I'm neither condemning or condoning it. There's a difference. You are right that it is none of anyone's business how they wear their hair. But the exact same can be said of what clothes someone wears. But you didn't mention that part.
/r/MensRights12/09/21 12:03 PM

It still completely sounds like you want to be able to criticize others for a choice but get upset when you're criticized for choices. starting to say hateful things toward the one who criticized People naturally attack back when they're attacked first. Which is what you did. Long hair on men for many people look in any combination ugly, lazy, and/or feminine. Attractiveness changes over time. A 1000 years ago hair may have been seen very differently. At one point in our history a fatter woman…

And why can't anyone dare to criticize women that dress with clothes that show 70% of their skin? So you want to judge others for their choices but not be judged by your choices? Hmmm....

That's their CHOICE though when they get to choose as an adult. Do you know how many more wouldn't have it done? Far, far FAR FAR many more men wouldn't choose to mutilate their fucking body. What makes YOU or any parent/person the arbiter of such a life altering choice? Do you know you can tell which child was circumcised and which one isn't in a hospital? Listen for the crying. It's not a 50/50 though for you. You're betting on your fairytale being right when there's over 5000 recorded religions. There's just as much chance the Egyptian gods are real and your soul will be weighed and devoured by Anubis. What I don't get is why waste your life bowing down to a god that has no feelings for you. It's very sad.

Your religion is hateful. And calling you weak minded is not me being hateful towards you. It's brutal honestly. There is no deeper meaning behind your words. You are a scared child. You have a lot of growing to do. I hope that you can escape the brainwashing you're in. You're not saved, you're enslaved. Your "real man" has tricked you down a path that cares nothing about you. Your "morals" came from a book. Not from yourself. No one is "imbedded" with anything like you describe. Moral people gain them through experiences. Not because they are told to from a sad book written by sand people to control the weak. You're pathetic. And weak.
/r/MensRights20/06/21 05:10 PM

What I'm saying is you're an immoral person. You have no morals. You need a book of lies to tell you the difference from "right" and "wrong". You're the abomination to this world.

Belief has nothing to do with it. You can believe in Spongebob, doesn't make him a real person. Every religious person is an immoral individual that needs to be told what is "right" and "wrong". Pathetic really.

Pre-existing condition protection is meant for people who have, you know, pre-existing issues like diabetes, or is allergic to peanuts. It's also designed to protect a person from an insurance company from fucking someone over. Such as your insurance company drops you when you get sick because they found out you had your tonsils removed as a kid. That's a pre-existing condition and now you're dead.

Why not? Views can change. Even if it's slowly. After all evolution is change. After all, Mgtow means "Men going their own way". What if someone is going the same way you are? Even marriage is slowly changing. From ownership to partnership. We're still not at equal partnership but it doesn't mean it cant happen eventually. People have different personality traits. That doesn't have anything to do with men's rights. I read most of the article and didn't see anything talking about who was in the costume or it saying anywhere the person was fired because he was a man. This is just race baiting. Take it to another group that focuses on race. Not here.

Only if the system stays the way it currently is. I personally have no issue about a person choosing to abort. But what I do have a problem with is if the man doesn't want anything to do with the child the woman gets the power to damn him and cripple him for 18 years. And that's wrong. If the woman gets to decide if she wants it or not, then the man should get the exact same choice. And I'm not saying that the man should be able to force an abortion. That'd be stupid and barbaric. Exact same as actual rape. Actions need consequences. False accusations literally ruin lives. If anything honestly it's worse. Same punishment isn't even equal. I am in no way saying it's "easy" overall, but it is easier to get over rape than the damages of going to prison for a falsely accused crime. Especially in the states. Short of castration (be it chemical or physical) probably not. Sex drives are hard wired into us. We wouldn't be a species without it. My brother is MGTOW. You make some interesting points. The only thing I disagree with is you saying it's not a movement. It's the literal definition of a social movement. A group of people (formal or informal) sharing ideas and beliefs that focus on political and/or social issues. Excluding yourself from social "norms" is still a form of socialism. Similar to how a lack of belief in a religion is still a form of belief (just a lack of)

I am in a monogamous relationship so I do know we differ on that. It's part of the reason I see us more as allies than the same. The biggest difference between us is that gay relationships can be formed on equal grounds while straights currently cannot because of society. I admit I'm a bit mixed on marriage but it's more because of politics than society if that makes sense. But I 110% can see why a man would want to be single his life. It'll be hard to rebuttal the longevity part on the sheer fact that if someone is around you 24/7 he/she can see symptoms of something potentially serious. If you become unconscious alone it's a hell of a lot more likely you won't wake up. If there's someone there they can call for help. The main thing to point out is the marriage part doesn't really play a role. Two best friends could live together and accomplish the same thing.
