Who cares what the motivations of our parents were? We're suffering from the effects of their decision all the same. It's only relevant if you want to preserve a nice relationship with your parents, which is fine if it's what works best for you, but rationalizing their decision does nothing to undo the harm they've done.

I'm with you man. I even looked into suing the hospital and doctor that did it to me (check my comment history for proof). I'm trying to get over the extreme sadness and rage phase right now. Therapy kind of helps but also seems to be becoming a crutch, so I'm not sure how it's best to proceed. Being so young, you're probably in a better position for legal action, and you'll be younger when regenerative surgery hopefully becomes a reality.
