In China there is a huge emphasis on not getting involved with random shit, mostly because a lot of the time these things are staged and is kinda a scam. I lived in China long enough to know this. One time I got scammed ¥500 by a “bullied cripple”. Literally saw the dude pulling up to a coffee shop in a nice ass car and gold necklace
