You should focus on finding someone who cares as much as you. No need to dilute yourself. There is someone out there who will fit you perfectly. Do not settle.

Well he is obviously smarter than you. You did all this to get a reaction from him. He didn't fall for it.

He should not have to do anything around the house. The fact he does shows he is a good person. The marriage will succeed or fail based on you. Ask him what you can do to make life better. Never get this confused, but he is the one allowing you all to live the lifestyle you have. A job as a software engineer is not easy to get, or maintain.

What's to reconcile? Its science. Women are supposed to look amazing when young, in order to find a mate, and procreate. So do just that. Find a good guy sooner than later, and make a family. Or end up old, alone, and ugly.

You can rewire yourself. You see these negative qualities so that is already a big step. When you feel yourself about to succumb to one of these bad habits, immediately stop everything and just sit there. Be mindful and cease that action. Do something else. This is how you slowly break those strong habits you have developed over time. The mind is like a computer / machine. Also throw some meditation in there. Good luck.

This was how things were done in the past because of the social dynamics that separated men and women. As you can see nowadays things have completely changed. No one has a set role. Therefore clear communication should be priority. Not "playing games".

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
