🤣 I honestly have no idea what "most" guys are looking for. I know that doesn't describe the guys in my friend group, but with the keyboard warriors on Reddit, I figured maybe my perspective was skewed. 😄

And if a woman grew up with narcissistic and/or abusive parents and hasn't worked on herself, she will often be attracted to narcissistic and/or abusive men because it feels comfortqble and familiar. And a lot of those women are taught to prioritize their looks over everything because their parents are narcissists, so oddly enough,.some of the traits men tend to select for are having undesirable side effects.

I cannot find a cite now, but it was part of the premise that originally made Bumble so popular because it normalized women making the first move without the penalty they received on other dating sites. It was obviously an article that I read very long ago.

Most men penalize, consciously or unconsciously women who approach them. Many men say they'd enjoy if, but those guys who are supposedly holding out for that virginal shy girl that is supposedly idealized will just view a woman who's forward enough to approach him as a fling.

I mean, most women don't prioritize their looks to the detriment of their overall well-being. Your BMI is one facet of your health, but so are social relationships. When time, effort, etc, are all limited commodities, people have to prioritize. It seems that men and women are prioritizing differently.
