Unfuck Yourself by Gary John Bishop. Quick read/listen and it really motivates and opens your eyes. I suggest the audible version. I listen to this a couple times a year because it reminds me that I alone am responsible for my reactions to what life brings. Gary tells it like it is and is very direct, no fluff and not filled with a bunch of mumbo-jumbo

What spiritualenema said. Every time you think about her you need to recognize it and then immediately think about you, your goals, a mantra unrelated to her or the situation, or anything else. It takes practice, but as you catch it earlier it gets easier. You cannot will your way out of thinking about her. Enjoy this clarity, but know that tomorrow (maybe already by now) you'll feel the weakness and longing for her, but you gotta just accept it and get back to focusing on you. Don't give in and…

Man, feels like you're describing me, but maybe you're a year ahead or so ahead of me. I'm focusing on self improvement and really becoming a better more self-actualized guy day-by-day. Been at it for a few years, unfortunately, I haven't quite reached total realization that it has to come from inside. I'm still holding on to the idea I'd feel more whole with a woman in my life, but I'm not using OLD, just hoping for the universe to bring me a unicorn...i know my next breakthrough is in letting …

Man, I'm sorry, but the only honest response here is that it's over. Don't be that guy that begs and pleads. Nothing about the relationship you describe sounds healthy for you or your daughter. Here's the thing, I'm willing to bet she'll come crawling back after her fuck buddy is done using her/he sees her crazy. DO NOT BE HER FALLBACK PLAN! I know you won't take this to heart until you realize it yourself, but this isn't love, this is you being needy. Inside of you somewhere is a MAN who would …

That pain and lack of purpose is the teacher that'll get you to realize that you must love yourself above anyone else. You think she could save you, but if she came back you'd be the same weak man you are right now. I've been that weak man and I'm still not at full-strength but I do see that the lesson in all of this is to stand on our own two feet and realize that we are letting fear make us act like we're a pussy. Here's the dig, you gotta go through feeling like a pussy and feeling like a sca…

She kept it. We have kids and her career started after we got married. It is nothing to waste any energy onn, and not your decision to make anyway. Focus on you

Break up with this girl and don't even think about having sex with her again, you already stated the risk there. That's one problem fixed quick as shit. If your view of marriage/women is really that negative then please save yourself the self fulfilling prophecy and DON'T get married, ever. I don't think anyone here in r/divorce would blame a young person for avoiding marriage. Focus on your career and the gym and stuff you like doing. Get help for your anger, addiction, and childhood issues. Ju…

First, what you're feeling is normal. It's gut wrenching seeing your future plans and family dissolve, so don't think you're weak or judge yourself for having those feelings...even the really really dark ones, they pass. The best thing you could do is take those bottles to the sink and dump that poison out. Fuck alcohol, it'll help you escape and then make you feel twice as shitty the next day. My separation and divorce unleashed the alcohol dependency in me and it held me back from healing and …

Today she wants you to change this, tomorrow it'll be something new and it will never stop. This is emotional blackmail from a woman who sees no future with you anyway. The best thing you could do for yourself is be the one to say "I'm out", it'll show her, and more importantly yourself, that you aren't going to accept manipulation and games in your life. Walk, no, run away from this relationship.

Man, I hope you are wrong about this being in your future, but if it is this list will serve you extremely well. It's fucking crazy how much of this matches what I did. I wish I could tell you that it makes it all a piece of cake, but I had and still have (3 years later) some struggles.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
