What I'm interested to know is what he means with "attitude". Being uncomfortable and annoyed with being in pain and full of hormones? Then he definitely sucks big time. Showering everyone with unresonable demands and justifying bad behaviour with periods? Then I think he has a point. Though I have to say even in the first case wishing men would have to go to war and die is appalling.

In my opinion men are not ATMs but women are not housekeepers either. What I think we are supposed to be are partners, helping each other through this thing called life to the best of our abilities. If the man wants to take care of the woman, that's perfectly fine, or if the woman wants to be the sole provider, that's also fine, as long as it's consentual. Do whatever arrangement fits you as long as it's not hurting anyone, including you.

That was a very interesting read indeed. 🤔 Unfortunately it seems that the website where these custody arregenment figures come from has been deleted so there is no way to verify them.

Thanks, it was an interesting read. Unfortunately one of the links in the article (about how custody is decided in divorce cases) doesn't work so I'm unable to verify if that information is indeed correct. Do happen to have a working link to that study? I would def be interested to read more about it.

Haven't been aware of those studies. Do you have any links to them, as I'd like to learn more about that?

There is a bunch of really good advice here with setting goals for yourself, being kind to yourself and figuring out what YOU want from your life. :) I've gone through something similar myself: until a few years ago I was suffering from low confidence, eating antidepressants due to previous depression and anxiety problems, being overweight and not really taking care of myself both mentally and physically, with almost zero dating experience and not working in my desired field. Now I've been able …

But doesn't the statement "all men are trash" literally refer to all men? 🤔

Talked about this with my boyfriend and we both agree this is a sign of an immature person. Him especially, since he says he used to be that person when he was younger. According to him it's a def sign of immaturity and also close-mindedness, as the person never considers the possibility that what they think is an honest opinion is not necessarily the truth. I myself never thought of that (just thought this is a sign of tactlessness) but I think what he says sounds right.

In my opinion this is a day for love and couples. That's why I think it's nice to make it fun for both. After all, love is about two people respecting and adoring each other, not just a one-way street of receiving or giving.

I would say we need to call out both toxic women and toxic men and encourage non-toxic behaviour since both physical and mental violence is harmful, both of which are practised by both sexes. Comparing which one is worse to me doesn't seem fruitful but holding each person responsible for their actions should be always on the forefront, no matter his/her sex.

Well tbh I see porn like alcohol or almost anything else that can cause addiction: there are a lot of ways alcohol can become destructive when used too much, and most alcoholics will hurt their loved ones. However, consuming alcohol moderately, like a glass of wine a few times a week, is generally not a problem (though it is worth mentioning that usually people who have an addiction with something shouldn't use it at all). I feel this is what she means with porn and I do agree with her.

This is def a good piece of advice that's useful to remember when doing anything online. Stay safe!

I agree. There should always be an option to call out someone doing something as irresponsible as this. One can't make the person listen but encouraging stuff like this is just plain bad.

I agree wholeheartedly!

I would say that the best way to handle the issue is to let people do what they want but also giving them advice, saying that certain choices do tend to have certain consequences. After that the person is free to choose to do whatever they want. Pushing people to either alternative in my mind is wrong.

I agree with this. Women and men both have their own languages and to be aware of it can be very helpful. I wouldn't expect same things from a man that I do from a woman when it comes to communication. And I don't mean that either of the languages are bad, they are just different, meant to serve different purposes. For men that were in charge of hunting during prehistotic times it was very important to be as direct as possible with communication in order to coordinate a successful hunt, while wo…
